i literally cant understand how they can cancle a show that has touched so many people and has so many fans across the world its just so stupid i feel like 2018 is the year wear they cancle good shows smh but shadowhunters will live on and of course MALEC will live on

harry and matt could easily carrying on a malec spin-off in their backs. they easily took the spotlight of clace and it felt a lot like they was the main ship of shadowhunters but since i already lost my hopes, at least god or some other higher forces, let them be cast in another show together since matt talked about it at 7:24 i would k*ll for shumdario in investigation/crime show (if it is a bit similar to sherlock holmes where one have a higher IQ even better). either that or spy/CIA agents (i just watched the movie "This Means War" yesterday and i loved the main characters relationship and the action scenes). fantasy and criminal investigation shows are two of my fav kind of shows so i would love to see them together in my other fav genre

6:35 i don't know if it's my impression but they both seemed nervous in certain parts of the video, notice that matt avoided looking at harry for a while, and the moment matt looks at harry, harry turns his face with a nervous expression. (remembering that i'm not mentioning shipp, it was just something i noticed)
I noticed they did that a lot while doing interviews and such together, Harry especially really avoided eye contact with Matt more so than Matt but they both did it all the time, idk why but it’s just something I noticed when their together
It's not your imagination. It's the chemistry and they were trying to hide it. Matt made it obvious in so many interviews that they were on while Harry did his best to hide it. I honestly think they developed feelings towards each other but due to reasons they couldn't act on them

No one in any convention has asked them why the show messed up the gay relationship? If the problem was them not being comfortable being intimate with a man (since they’re both more likely straight ?) or it had to do with the network or producers but being LGBT friendly ? I would’ve preferred seeing affectionate and intimate moments then a long straight sex scene with Jace and a rando (in the same episode Malec 1sy time and Alec 1st time ever was fade to black!!!) I have seen tv shoes authors straight actors playing gays and this is the 1st time I see such a bad rep. I was shocked !
bad representation??? wtf Malec won a GLAAD award (if u don't know what it is a prestigious lgbt award) and was always praised by the good representation they had on the show (with the exception of 2x07 that was a mess but they at least heard the fans and tried to correct it later), especially bc the way they portrayed a Bi character. they definitely didn't went to the stereotypes that a lot shows unfortunately do with their lgbt characters. Said so, i do agree that there was a lack of intimacy in the lgbt relationship compared to the straights but i dont think was necessary matt and harry fault bc in a lot of cases it would depend of the directors and showrunners's decisions (if the channel wasn't also a problem too bc they was abcfamily before and once sh premiered they changed to freeform) But i wouldn't call it bad representation. good representation can came in many forms. It's not only about the sex and intimacy and a lot of time the way the characters are portrayed is more harmful to the community. ofc the ideal would be the having both but it's rare the show that does that. majority of the time they just focus on being too sexual and there is no deep with the characters and/or the couple is toxic and problematic in a romanticized way and/or one of the characters is too stereotyped
if you ask me, by some of answers of the season 2 executive directors (season 1 had a different one) kind felt to me like they was scared that people would fetishize malec but i can't be completely sure bc no one directly asked them that. Anyway, another thing that SH did right and many shows usually fail is that their sexuality is not their only story (is not what defines them). For example: Alec is much more than the gay character. Just search for "shadowhunters good representation" and you will see articles explaining better what i said about the show actually having good representation even tho that fails in the intimacy department. And i do agree with you that it's a pity that someone wasn't frontal and asked matt and harry about that (as far as i know)
