You can download 'Ola' and 'Uber' app when you come to New Delhi for cabs. Also, Sector 57 is prettty far from the centre. I would suggest to look for some place in South Delhi, since everything/most tourist attractions are nearby. And you can use metro trains when you come here, it's very helpful since you can travel almost in all corners of New Delhi or Gurgaon or Noida in very cheap prices. You can download 'Zomato app' for food recommendations.

my roommate from India (Visited for a week,) he said I can live middle class down there, even as a low class american, but yes planes to india are expensive thats why take it to a nearby country where itll be cheaper and even if you combine visa passport costs.

It's literally so easy.
People over think traveling,and it ends up being the opposite of enjoyable.
All you need to do is book a plane ticket.
Then your set.
The rest is really easy if you know what your doing,you can find a hotel,or a place to stay and eat.
The hardest part Is being on the move constantly.
All good but i trusted the tuck tuck taxis. They are cheaper than uber if you talk down the price and way more fun. Cheapest option if you go three people on a motorbike. Not everybody wants to scam you❤

Hostels are a lot cheaper than hotels and are generally more relaxed. You have to share a room but that means it's a fraction of a cost. I never spend more than €10 a night anywhere outside of western europe and north america.

Do you run into poison Ivy alot? Im horribly allergic and its one of my biggest fears about traveling to these beautiful places. I love both of you guys you are inspiring me all the time and have watched all your videos for atleast the past 3 years and all of Stephis. Ive bought a hammock and a 0 degree sleeping bag as a start. Cant wait for the weather to get a bit nicer so I can atleast do a weekend trip. Sending good vibes to both of you!

how do you guys go about finding the things you decide to do/see while traveling? like do you ask locals, google stuff to see, use social media to hear about places? how do you avoid doing “touristy” things?
instagram rags for the location that you’re in is super useful! we ask locals when we’re really stuck, & we watch a bunch of travel vloggers who have already done all the research for us

Thanks for the advice. Love you guys videos. I like to use airbnb when finding a place to settle, I find it to be cheaper and I trust it more than booking a hotel. Same scenario as the taxi:uber situation. Shoulder seasons are my favorite times to travel, how about you guys?

I'd be walking everywhere as much as I could. I can imagine how taxis or Uber will overcharge by taking you miles out of the way just to get to your location. Not sure how often that happens. My main concern is the language barrier. I know that a lot of places have English going on, despite their national language, but what about the small "restaurants" or anything like that? What do you do about the language barrier?
When your are back packing do most people speak English and are the information signs as well or are they in a native language?
tourist signs are english and most people know enough english to help you along your way. we also use sim cards for situations where we can’t communicate & we load up google translate
