- This is indeed a beautiful university, but also filled with some of the brightest young minds in Europe: if not THE WORLD. Yes correct, I think this place is giving other unis a run for their money - Cambridge, Oxford, Exeter, Yale, Havard, USC, UCLA, Stamford, Edinburgh etc. - they're not on this level. This place is full of potential and aesthetic.
Located in Zurich, ETH, is a top tier institution; and Léo and I are showing you its numerous attractions.

You mix images from the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich. These are two different universities. ETH is the ugly university, but the more famous one and it is world class especially in mathematics, chemistry and computer science. The University of Zurich is beautiful and is best known for economics, cultural studies, medicine and law.
How is eth ugly? The first place they entered in is ETH
I actually find it's simplicity better than UZH
If you actually watch the video and go beyond the title you'll see we clearly mention both universities ;)
@@leozinho2r So why is the title wrong?
ETH looks way better then UZH
Honestly, this video is so enjoyable. When I noticed you only had 600 subs I was shocked, you deserve more. Much love!
amazing stuff. thanks
Really nice man
As a ETH student, I also enjoyed its beauty and appreciate that others do that too. However, if comparing the ‘beauty’ of both the environment (city view) and campus, I still think EPFL/UniLausanne can win ETH/UZH, because Lausanne is just so beautiful a city…
I am from Canada
I can speak French by default , I am currently learning German right now since I want to attend eth
In terms of overall in your opinion EPFL or ETH?
@@rexlapis1075 Are you wanting to attend for Bachelors or Masters? Bachelors are usually in the local language (French/German) while Masters are usually in English
@@leozinho2r
I am learning German right now
I am already 5 months into it
And it’s bachelors
We are visiting Zurich this summer so my son can visit the campus. His gf and I will visit the zoo so he can experience the tour/any interviews without worrying about us. He's already C1 fluency in high German. I personally hope that everything works out, that he loves ETH and can get in for grad school.
FYI, your thumbnail shows one of the libraries of the university of Zurich (UZH) and not ETH
Both EPFL and UNIL are really pretty in different ways. EPFL’s chemistry buildings are really neat in this weird 1970’s sci-fi way. Highly recommend.
My dream university 😊
Yeah mine too
mine too
Ill go there, are you from switzerland too?
literally jaw dropped, god I wish I could go to class somewhere so beautiful.
The stress make everything look ugly. At least for me.
That elevator ride was the best! How is the music scene in Zurich? Particularly jazz and EDM?
My favorites as a statistician......Stanford, UC Berkeley, ETH Zurich, Columbia
Check out California State University, Channel Islands
A mix of new buildings and old buildings that was the former state hospital for the insane.
It is beautiful. Seriously.
I‘ll start next year at the ETH with my Physics Bachelor program. So excited!!!
good luck gonna be a hell of a ride believe me
@@martialsaxer7920 Thanks, have you studied there?
@@GrandAdmiralMitthrawnuruodo yes K study Health Schience there, currently in my final year of my bachelors:) it is tough but its worth it!
@@martialsaxer7920 Good to know. Good luck with the bachelor. :D Hope you still find some spare time.
Congrats, dude!
so cool! XP!
I will come to ETHz in the future, really love it, amazing university!!!!!! Also I want to apply same major like you, about neuroscience!!!!
The law library belong to university Zurich, not ETHZ.
The library was fascinating
So gooood 🧠🧠🧠
That Library just could have been Santiago Calatrava design, even though there are new architects designing in similar way.
The Central Library of Calgary, Alberta is stunning too. Have a look.
The library is actually an important work of Santiago Calatrava, see de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bibliothek_der_Rechtswissenschaftlichen_Fakultät_der_Universität_Zürich
تجنن الدولة والكلية تهبل❤
Can we visit the school and its library? Do we need student card or registration?
Nice, but have you ever been to University of Mannheim?
Im swiss and i totally will go there after the military
u are so underrated
👏🙏🍀
Nice
It's really nice, but I don't think it even comes close to the beauty of Oxford or Cambridge
Caltech, Princeton and most importantly EINSTEIN.
… who earned his Doctoral Degree from University of Zurich… (which is the beautiful one (interiors) shown in the clip. ETH (that´s the exteriors shown in the clip) is it´s neighbour.
the thumbnail looks like erens final form to me
Is it possible to visit the uni ?
Yes for sure! All these places are open to the public :)
what language are classes taught in?
Bachelors are usually in the local language (French/German) while
Masters are usually in English
I got into ZURICH..But cant afford my living costs..and picked the CORNELL University to study..
But does cornell not have very expensive tuition?
It’s my dream university but too expensive unfortunately :(
how much does it cost?
Not really. The yearly fees for undergraduate studies at ETH Zurich are CHF 730 (about $ 750) per semester regardless of student's nationality.
Remember that even students need to cover their cost of living. But a student could just about survive for a year in Zurich on the $ 24'000 fees per year charged merely as fees for foreign undergraduates by any university in England―not to mention the $60'000 to $100'000 needed by foreign students at any comparable US university.
@@benedictdesilva6677 Yeah the university fees aren’t high but the cost of living there is really too much
@@federicoboldrin38 Not necessarily―when one considers that *tution fees alone* in the UK are around $20'000 and $60'00 to $10'000 in US, with the cost of living in those countries having to be added on top of those values.
$25'000 a year in Zürich will cover both *fees and cost of living* very comfortably.
Cute
I actually liked Honggerberg more
Albert Einstein’s university.
Insane building! i wonder how long it took and how many lives of workers been ended for it
Took about a year and all workers are safe 😅
1:07 That is called a funicular.
It's alright. Not as beautiful as Stanford though!!
Are there any scholarships to get to this university????
As a swiss citizen you pay rather small fees per semester around 800 swiss franks. Otherwise there are scholarships but they're only given to the students that are most dependent. Also it is probably not easy to get one because I imagine a lot of people apply for these scholarships but it's sure worth a try.
@@benediktgilgenreiner2894i believe that any person from a country in the EU also play this low tuition, not just swiss students.
Isn't this where Einstein studied
He studied at UZH - University of Zurich (which by the way is the one the beautiful interior pictures are from. ETH is it´s neighbour - the exteriors shown are ETH)
