This has got the be one of the best audio books out there. Wasn't dramatic but it felt like it was, because everything I heard came right off the page. Man, this must have been one hellish time for the brews. I would never want to die, but I think it's about being prepared to if it comes down to fighting for what one believes in and what they know is the right way.

This book as removed from the Bible tells much as to how WE the children of God should not fear EVER to bring forth war AGINST those who hold others from God .. whoever decided this book with all its stories of BRAVERY not fearing to die in the honor of God ! Dr Lumpkin has published a Universal Bible that includes some of the forbidden books. During the canon of scripture there were books approved that are not included in the King James Version and all the versions that followed. King Antiochus sounds like one of the Roman rulers. No wonder they wouldn’t include these books in the Bible so that they don’t expose their enmity with God. These are beautiful readings. My only suggestion would be to note the difference between WROTH and WRATH, the incorrect use of which is found in the reading throughout, but not in the text. WRATH is the NOUN. Because it is uncommon today it is often misused - but worth getting right here given the generally excellent quality of this work.

All of the books are read by very good readers, they are unbelievable, love them. My father always taught us to read like this, n i remember in grade school my teacher constantly called on me to read. There's a reason we have punctuation marks my dad would say. My father was very good in his history and the bible and i loved when he would read to us, and as we learned to read my father taught us and we read the bible with all the names and he made sure we new how to pronounce them correctly.

This has got the be one of the best audio books out there. Wasn't dramatic but it felt like it was, because everything I heard came right off the page. Man, this must have been one hellish time for the brews. I would never want to die, but I think it's about being prepared to if it comes down to fighting for what one believes in and what they know is the right way.

These are beautiful readings. My only suggestion would be to note the difference between WROTH and WRATH, the incorrect use of which is found in the reading throughout, but not in the text. WRATH is the NOUN. Because it is uncommon today it is often misused - but worth getting right here given the generally excellent quality of this work.

All of the books are read by very good readers, they are unbelievable, love them.
My father always taught us to read like this, n i remember in grade school my teacher constantly called on me to read.
There's a reason we have punctuation marks my dad would say. My father was very good in his history and the bible and i loved when he would read to us, and as we learned to read my father taught us and we read the bible with all the names and he made sure we new how to pronounce them correctly.

Even though I don't regard 1 Maccabees as scripture, I do love the historical content to it and how it gives you extra information, when you compare it to Daniel 11:21-35.
