Been a VNV fan for 10+ years, even have the logo inked on my forearm. This was my first ever vnv gig and I got in early so i could be right at the front. Mind blowing experience. Me and my Dad bonded over Ronan's music and he just passed in February, so i almost felt like he was there in spirit yhat night. Ronan's music has hit me deep in my soul in ways no other artist ever has. Thanks for recording and sharing this, my memory also sucks so heving this to go back to until he comes back to utah is amazing. You're awesome.
I saw them for the first time during their last tour and it was amazing. What really struck me was not only the beauty of the music but also how special Ronan is as a human being. The way he establishes an emotional connection with the audience is so beautiful.
This was my first VNV show. They were supposed to be in SLC on my birthday, but Ronin had a bad allergic reaction and they had to cancel. But they came back and it was WELL worth the wait! I went with my fiancé and it was super EPIC! Really made my whole decade!
I've seen them 2 times before. They always put on a great show! Sucks they missed ur bday buy so happy they came back and glad Ronin is ok.
Thanks! I had a very long journey both physical and spiritual. I finally, after almost 40 years fixed my life and found happiness by doing the right things in life. Morally and logically. And I never realized everything Ronin writes were going to be the things I believe in or live by. Like he has been singing about the parts of me I never knew would exist. I just knew I liked his music a lot. The further I came on my journey, the more obvious it became that I was drawn to his music for reasons my inner self knew all along. Then after years of wishing I could see them in person, the year I finally came around to doing right by the people who depend on me, he just happened to be touring in the US finally, and the closest show to me happened to be on my birthday. I was in tears. I took it as the biggest sign I ever could have received. Sucks that I couldn't see him on that day. I'm also glad he's okay :) But after April rolled around, I was in an even BETTER spot in life and the last of my biggest demons were finally worked out. So it all came together in one big ball of poetic "you made it son." I'm sorry lol. I'm actually getting really emotional and tearing up writing this. I freaking LOST it when he sang Nova. Just broke down like a child lol. But in a good way lol. Anyway, thank you for reading this far

Be proud of your accomplishments in life! It does sound so poetic!

It's crazy that I would have never found a very unique band if I had not heard one of their songs playing during a computer game's release trailer and again during the credits. This is a very overlooked band for sure! I hope they tour in the US again soon!
They seem to come every few years, from what I remember. Ya there are so many good bands out there for sure. It's hard knowing them all, even though I wish I did! I also wish I had the time and money to go to way more shows in general.
I LOVED when he broke out into Cowgirl by Underworld during Immersed and his story about Illusion ♥️
His story and then singing illusion made me tear up.
Thank you for posting this! I was there but we were a tiny bit late and missed the opening song. I also want to know what the heck someone said to Ronan during Nova, where he was like, "Shut Up!" LOL. SUCH a good show! So glad I FINALLY got to see him live after loving him for 22 years!
You are welcome! I luckily was on the front row so i didn't have my cell up where he'd tell me to stop recording, even though he kinda did tell people too... i get it... but i also am one that I is very forgetful, so recording these shows helps me remember. The guy a few down from me kept yelling something. It wasn't his first time saying it. I dont even know what it was but after a few times is when Ronan told him to shut up. Like stop ruining this moment. Lol.. ive seen them twice before. They always put on an amazing show!
@@vickiediamond8575 I just love him so much! His lyrics are like poetry. He's one of the few from my Industrial Days that I still listen to on the regular because he treads this fine line of horror and absolute beauty, life and death, anger and hope. I adore him. So much better live!
When he tore that dude down for trying to mosh, I was three rows back and to the left. I was like OUCH! Would not want to be that guy lol.
I'm not sure that he was trying to mosh. I think he was drunk out of his mind. I know who it was and he was slightly behind me when it was said.
@@mikebeenft6728 Is that the guy he told to shut up?
To the dude who screamed "WE LOVE YOU" nine thousand eight hundred and forty-seven times through the entire show, I was right near you in the crowd and it was a horrible addition. Ronin got the message after your 300th time. Please don't do that to people again. It becomes nails on a chalkboard after constantly saying the same exact thing for 3 hours. At least yell something freaking else every 12 times.
