  • Started at 8:30am and ended at 3:45pm. Went through 2 batteries and filled up the 128GB SD card on my camera so I didn’t get to capture the entire thing but still plenty good footage.

I’m a big fan of the longer videos. I don’t have that kind of elevation change in my local trails so I try to spend as much time as possible on the hilly trail when we go up to famous reading. All that side hill riding you’re doing is a skill in itself lol

Awesome, I’m glad you enjoy them! Wasn’t sure if people want to watch an almost 2 hr video of me billy goating through the woods lol. And thanks…these guys I’m riding with are all very skilled and doing these rides with them makes me better. All that off camber log hopping really forces you to make good decisions quick and develop muscle memory.

I haven’t ridden bikes in over 20 years. This makes me want to get back into it. I cant remember if it’s a workout to do this? I need something that will get me back in shape and has a motor.

Oh yeah…it tires me out doing these long rides in this type of terrain. Lots of core and upper body muscles were screaming by the end of this 40 miler lol.

Oh yeah, definitely a work out, i remember my first time going around the super moto track with my YZ 2stroke 250 at the Byron motor park and i was there all day and the next day, my whole body from feet to head were sore.

Right up the trails in fabulous Beaver County! Looking for a 72-75 XL 250 Motosport w/title if you have a line on one? Thanks.

Are you guys following a trail or just doing your best to get over those hills. Amazing place to ride. Reminds me of around here before the ATVs pissed every one off tearing up there land. Now it’s almost impossible to ride anywhere

      @Garage2Trail  Před 9 měsíci +1

There is a trail on most of it but the leaves make it really hard to see now. The trail these guys ride isn’t ridden in very much so even in the summer early fall it’s tough to see where to go. We are lucky to still have all this in our area . Mostly suburbs and shopping plazas all around here!

Great day out footage also, do you get much snow if any .Is this your favourite bike

Thanks Paul, our last couple winters have been very mild. We can get decent snow at times but I’m really liking the mild winters! It’s def my favorite bike for the nasty hard and technical trails. The Beta is just so manageable and lightweight I don’t get tired riding it. The XR400 is still my favorite all around bike though!

Subscribed. I just bought a 23 xtrainer 2 weeks ago. I have had every type of bike and I am loving the xtrainer. I have only been able to ride it less than an hour due to rain and snow. What tires do you use front and back? I have a rekluse cx ordered, thoughts on rekluse for this bike anybody?

Hi David and welcome! That’s gotta be killing you not being able to ride your new bike. I’m still running the stock tires but have aired the rears down to 6-8lbs and they hook amazingly well for DOT tires. My friend has the same bike and he runs IRC’s in the rear with a tubliss setup and his hooks up AMAZINGLY. I’m seriously considering doing the same with mine. My only experience with the rekluse was on my Bud’s Husqvarna 501. It was cool and very helpful in those sketchy situations where clutch work would be tricky but that was only for a few mins of riding . I haven’t found myself in any spots with the Xtrainer that it couldn’t handle with the regular clutch, but I’m sure the rekluse wouldn’t hurt!

How was your fuel consumption? Been hearing about 30 miles to a tank on the XTrainers.
    Great job on the videos.

I did have to top off about half way through the ride (which went through roughly a half tank) and isn’t on video. Luckily there is a gas station near one of the trail heads and since it’s plated and running oil injection, I can just roll right up to the pump. I then hit reserve on the ride home after we were done but I know these go a long time on reserve because the regular inlet tube on the petcock sits up super high and there is still like a quarter tank at least when fuel drops below it. A lot of the riding we did was slower paced so I wasn’t on the throttle wide open much but there were spots where we could get on it a bit. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback!

I'm sad this video doesn't have more views. There is a few ways you can cut this footage to get more views though; First, cut it into 4 different videos. Title them Episode 1 of (whatever) and so on. Then, make a 5th video of the highlights of the ride, whether that be the times you guys got really stuck, the times you guys were cruising up hills at high speed, etc. Just single out one thing that you can make a highlights video about. Doing all this means you get four videos that aren't as long as two hours but are still longer than the average twelve minute vlog, which would be really good considering the target audience most likely being younger people, and with the average attention spans you see now that would work out.
    TL;DR
Make shorter videos that are still long enough to be entire episodes. Have around four or so episodes for the amount of footage you have (two episodes for every hour). Make a fifth episode including the highlights of the all the footage. Post the episodes in order and depending on how man subscribers you have, post the episodes with a larger period of time between the i.e. two days to a week. I'd say a day for every 2,000 subscribers but really go by feel.
By the way, I hope you don't take this as like "oh this guy thinks I don't know what I'm doing!" I more so wanted to write this because I feel that I have some information that can be found beneficial to any small CZcams content creators. I've collected this information from watching lot's of different social media types & accounts for a number of years and this all just comes from observation. Take my advice if you want but if not more power to ya.
Cool video, have a great day. :D

Thanks man, I really appreciate that feedback and It’s a great idea! I feel my riding videos could always use some help to make them more interesting so the next long one I do I’ll have to give the episode idea a try. Feel free to critique stuff that you think might help anytime! Much appreciated! 🍻
