Japan is a country where wood construction and art meet in such a beautiful way.
I live in a 16th Century, wooden framed building with two feet thick outer stone walls. It's actually an old converted Almshouse. Whilst I love the eccentricity of the place, with its wonderful internal structure and solid beams, there is barely a straight line in the whole building and every beam and lintel is nailed together. But then I look at a video such as this, with the intricate, hand carved connections between the various beams and I am utterly fascinated and impressed. Not a nail in sight and such beautifully simple and elegant lines. True craftsmanship of the highest standard.

古来から皆そうして技術を受け継いできましたね。そしてそれはこれからもそうなのでしょう。
現場では無いところで全て口で説明できないし聞いても理解できない。
積み重ねられた技と心の伝承は全てそうですね。

+Casualguy “Casualguy393” 939 Not much like a US job site, huh? Don't need safety glasses or ear plugs. Not a an air line in sight to trip over. Just come to work and put big lincoln logs together all day. Could you imagine framing a window or door header and installing bow ties instead for plywood spacers? Wouldn't think it's as strong as it is, but I didn't see any bow in it during the lift - makes gluelam look downright floppy.
Their foot wear says NINJA!!!
Yeah, that one guy wore ninja slippers. Toes of steel.

以前の動画に申し訳ないのですが一棟、墨付け→刻み→上棟までどのくらいの時間がかかるのですか？
8か月程度で、それと木材を自然乾燥させるので準備に1～2年必要です。
