There were lots of great wrestlers in that era. Magnum, you have always been the baby face champion of my youth. My cousin and I would go see you and Nikita Koloff, wrestling at events in the old Charlotte Coliseum. Never got to meet you man. I did get to meet your rival (Nikita)at a company Christmas party that San-Jon Corporation owner. Joe Helenberger invited me to. Oh it was good to hear your voice, I recognized it immediately. Made me smile just to know that you're doing good. On another note my cousin( scrappy ) has his own wrestling operation going down there in Gastonia. Damn we love watching you wrestle man thanks for all the great times God bless you
Magnum was a great wrestler. One of my favorites. It's unfortunate that he had his accident but on a brighter side we still have Magnum around. He's alive and he's okay. That's something to be thankful for
David Von Erich and Magnum TA both were going to be world champions, but for the tragedies.
Magnum recounting his injuries reveals a lot about Greg Gagne and Ric Flair. I’m sure the impact was not missed by Arn, Tully, JJ and the medical team that was nearby.
If I remember right JJ was the one who got the cops or security to sneak them in the back of the hospital to make sure Magnum was okay.
How is that?
I remember when that happened. Wrestling history changed that day.
I thought that beard was a microphone in front of his face. 😂
I remember Greg Gagne wrestling at the Showboat in Vegas back in the 80s
My niece was born on that day.
I was 14 when magnums accident happened, I couldn’t watch wrestling anymore after that……………………I didn’t start watching it again till the attitude era.
Magnum had all the "stuff" to make a lot of people rich just by being on the card. i'm guessing all the wrestlers wallets became liter after he got hurt.
Magnum ta was soft. Look at all the wrestlers that broke there necks came back
The interviewer looks like a bum
Listen to what is being said not how he looks 🤡
He also said he "didn't know he was paralyzed". You do a podcast with a guy and you're unaware of basic history of the guy? Seems impossible.
