love this apartment tour. I went to oriental plaza for my curtains, All floor to ceiling. for my three bedrooms and living room and got the sheer lace backs for all the sets as well for 4000 rand. Negotiate when you get there and also if they don't have the fabric you want they walk with you to other stores and negotiate for you. Superb quality and they also follow your brief exactly

I think your apartment is cute and it is authentic. It has your personality. Ur not trying too hard, but it is beautiful. I also moved in my apartment round about the same time and I need to have my shower tiles changed so thanks for the paint idea. Great content!

No, the orchad is maybe not yet dead. All you have to do is keep running warm to hot water through it once every 4 days. Make sure you drain the water out each time, this might revive it

I can't wait for the tile paint because I also want to paint my kitchen wall tiles. Would you recommend putting contact paper on the kitchen countertops?
Contact paper is usually heat sensitive, I’d say go for it if you’ll be very careful not to burn it

WRT the no-shoe policy, how do you get your visitors to take their shoes off without offending them? I always struggle with that at my place, people take offence and see nothing wrong when you explain the dirt shoes carry.
I lead by example😂😂😂 if that makes sense, so I hardly wear shoes. And I leave a pair on the mat which kindly indicates I don’t like wearing shoes in the house and more often than not my guests will take off their shoes.
I am currently in a rented space which is really tiny. Though I also "lead by example" most of my friends just don't leave the shoes, no matter how many times I do it. Okay I kinda get that one.....bra you won't believe some even step on the rug next to the bed on their feet. That one I fail to keep my mouth shut, I just tell them not to do it.
