Theon Greyjoy | Light em up (modern AU GOT)

- This storyline is a bit inspired by doublebit’s sons & deadman in the sense that I liked the idea of the Starks, Greyjoys and Bolton’s being mafia families. That especially fits because I’m using a lot of john Wick for this AU, so there you go. All the credit for that idea goes to them!
Theon was kidnapped by the Starks at the age of 9 but they have raised him and he’s become best friends with their oldest son, Robb Stark. Now 10 years after his kidnap the Starks are convinced that Theon’s forgotten about the kidnap altogether, they haven’t kept him locked up for a while anymore and most nights he goes out partying with Robb Stark. But Theon still remembers, he can’t forget the time he was tied up and terrified and one night he has the courage to run away and escape.
Unfortunately when he arrives home his father doesn’t want him anymore. He’s heard the story’s of how Theon spends his time and finds him pathetic, to drive his point home he gives him a beating. Theon, in his rage blows up and burns some of his father’s and the Stark’s most prized possessions as a big “fuck you” for screwing up his life.
What Theon doesn’t know is that throughout all of this Ramsay Bolton has been keeping an eye on him, biding his time, dreaming of all the things he will do to him when he gets his future Reek into his hands. And now that Theon’s officially alienated everyone who could have cared about him, Ramsay sees his chance. He kidnaps him and proceeds to do all those things he’d been dreaming off and more.
Ironically enough, I am writing a fic just like this. A modern au of the Starks being a powerful mafia family and Robb and Catelyn narrowly escaping Red Wedding with their lives. Really interesting video, good editing. Good job! :)
This is incredibly creative. I watched it first before reading the description to see if I could get a feel for the story and I have to say that you did a wonderful job editing the story. The Ramsay part about him watching Theon and biding his time was perfect, especially the "I'm just dreaming of tearing you apart". The end was creepy, but then again most Ramsay/Theon scenes are like that to me. Anyway, great job!!!
btw your comparison between Cersei and Theon's narcissistic personality was very interesting.

I actually have no idea how much of the story is clear in the video, there are a lot of filler moments where I had to come up with material that would sorta support the story and also fit to the music, which was difficult and i'm not 100% happy with it (than again I never am) but there's also a lot of parts i'm particulary proud of :) actually, I cried while editing the last part. I love the Theon and Ramsay storyline (if it wasn't obvious) I am so obsessed wih their dynamics and that includes the torture but at the same time it always makes me so sad, for obvious reasons. cause in the end I just want my sweetheart to be happy! (i'm convinced he will be though! at least as far as that goes in asoiaf)ooh you read that!? thanks :) glad you enjoyed it :) :)

INCBlackbird No, I'm not on the asoiaf forum. I have read some of your other Theon posts and I kept meaning to stop by and mention it but I never quite got around to it :( Anyway, keep up the great work and maybe you'll post some thoughts on Cersei now that you're delving into her chapters
***** I'm actually doing a Theon reread on the forum, analysing his arc chatper by chapter, I will eventually post it on tumblr as well though, probably when I'm completely finished (and as far as writing goes I'm working on the first Reek chapter now so making pretty good progress :)) I'll post a chapter a week. and after I'm done doing that with Theon i'll do it with Cersei, Asha, Jaime, Lancel and probably a few others... I am definitly planning on writing some meta on Cersei as well but I seem to always be occupied with writing about Theon first because he's more important, so it takes a lot longer. same with Lancel, I've been working on an essay on him for months.

wah I am twenty minutes into watchign John wick. I heard it got excellent reviews and was a great movie overall, so decided to dl it for Keanu reeves. And I was sooooo surprised and happy to see little Theon's face suddenly show up!!! XD I mean...until he killed the dog. :C But I am so glad he is getting roles in good movies. And I am just about to press play and watch the rest of your video, but then I remembered I will spoil want happens to him in John wick, so I will shut up and come back to watch your glorious video afterwards!
rabbitmaze I was actually pleasantly surprised by John Wick, I watched it for Alfie and I expected a really shallow action movie. and well... it sorta is but the beauty of it is that the filmmakers knew that and intended to bring just that and therefor they didn't take themselves seriously and the result is a pretty nice movie, the camerawork is also really good in my opinion and they knew exactly how to construct actions scenes. I couldn't help but root for Alfie's character LOL! but than again I had desided long before I saw that movie that he was modern Theon Greyjoy... and he kinda is, the parallels are certainly there! on another note, i wanted to ask if you got my messege?
