I certainly wouldn't use carb/brake cleaner to clean a MAP sensor it would destroy the gel and fine copper wires that pass through the gel inside the sensor I've seen this happen many times. just replace it they are fairly cheap the MAF sensor I would use electrical cleaner or MAF cleaner but great video

Do clean the intake air sensors and EGR. Also do check the lambda sensor working. These are the basic reasons for smoke from diesel engines.
Turbo problem, or check intercooler and pipes tgat connect intercooler and turbo.

Hey bro, its the d4d engine ryt, its there bolted by 2 bolts on to the inlet pipe jst before the engine shut off throttle valve. Try cleaning the MAF, MAP and EGR as well, as primary suspects.
@@dailyhandsdiy yes sir...you are absolutely right.. It is the d4d...should I also clean the intake manifold?? And another question...its clocked around 2 lac kilometer and its engine hasn't been flushed once...so is it wise to use engine flush now ?
Yes bro you can clean the intake manufold don't expect any performance gain but to keep every thing clean that's all. And regarding engine flush, if you change oil every 6k or 7k jst leave it, engine will be good enough. Or could jst buy a cheap thin oil like summer sufix 20 ie 15w20 grade oil, pour it in run the engine for some time like 15 min or 20 mins. Racethe engine to 2k rpm every 5 mins for jst 5 secs and drain. This will take away the sludge and make engine clean. And pour the fresh good oil.

Yup the same....it's a good solvent. if you dont have a carb cleaner in market then this can do the job...but make sure to cover your face and wear a gloves if possible and keep the sensors for a while to dry it properly

Hi there, i don't think its the 90hp model, only linea in 2010 came with 90hp motor..do check if its variable geometry turbo system. And it has a two port fuel filter not 3 same as tata 1.3 quadrajets.

vgt model has a vacuum actuated turbo charger. Turbo size will be high compared to 75hp mechanical turbos.

Please do check the turbo and oil seperator. Also do check for back compression.

Its not depended on the bhp. it purely depends on the way you drive. Some use higher rpms some lower.They might get lower fuel mileage. You need to maintain rpms betwn 1500 to 2500 for best mileage.

No bro maf sits in front of the engine easily accessible but egr sits behind the engine.

Bro please don't spary any thing to egr without dismantling. The soot inside will loosen up and nxt time you drive those junks can either reclogg the path completely or gets into intake choking the head valves. If you are cleaning i would suggest to dismantle the part completely and clean it.

Yes it does, maf sensor will be near to air filter box, and the map sensor, you can see a small tube going from the intake manifold to a sensor which is map.

Bro there is no map sensor in figo diesel. Ford ikon and fiestas came with one but not in figo.

Hi there brother, usme map sensor bhi he vo bhi clean karo. Maf sensor teek se clean karna because sensor body ka design toda complex he. andar sensor ke neeche ek sqr hole he. usme se return spray karna hoga. Aur turbo vaccum pipe teek he ye check karo. Dhua nei nikalthi to maf ki problm hi hoga. ekor bar clean or chek karado fir dekna.
Gadi start hote hi saphed smok karta hai 5 mint tak kya problem ho Sakta hai
One it could be glow plug going bad, second egr valve sticking.

Yes Pickup was increased post cleaning throttle body but cleaning EGR has nothing to do with pickup. But once you remove factory fitted throttle body the rpm fluctuation begins just keep in mind @@chandrajitnandanwar
If map sensor not cleaned, you should...also check the status of lambda or oxygen sensor.

Does Tata Manza has map sensor along with maf sensor my car is producing deep black smoke very lo pick up and also ultra low mileage, mechanic cleaned egr changed turbo core, cleaned injectors from diesel house, intercooler cleaned, changed clutch plate with pulley layed a hefty bill but no change in pickup pls suggest me
Manza has map but not with maf, its sits on manifold, just above the engine left top corner. There are other reasons for blk smoke like bad turbo waste gate actuator, injector, maf or map sensors going bad etc...
So first thing should be the sensors, both maf n map should be cleaned and checked if working correct. followd by egr, then turbo....
Thank you I will check cleaning map and maf, my turbo is changed and injectors are refurbished in diesel house so I will go through these to sensors actually maf is cleaned more than 5 times I will clean maf and see what is the result

Hi brother, there are many reasons, one an egr fault, two a bad maf or map sensor, three any pressure leak in pipes after turbo even intercooler, four if 90 hp engine the vaccume actuator of turbo could be a problem and even a clogged air filter too can decrease the gas mileage. So check these areas first, 80 to 90% gets solved.

ok then clean those sensors and see. And if not working posible reasns are loose pressre clamps on air intakes, intake pipe cracks, egr not cleaned properly or is sticking again.

yes sir... petrol bhi ok he. but its likely to clean sensor path.. so u need that forced flow of cleaner into the sensor body to carry dirt out. some times., petrol jst flows into path, losen the oil and dirt and if does not comes out.. can make a huge mess inside and can make the sensor even worse. so spraying cleaner is recommended. thanks

Bro the chances are loose pipes after intercolr removal, egr sticking, dirty maf and map sensors. If turbo play is inside 1.5 mm then its ok.

Its better stick with quadrajet because its more fun to drive. All those sensors actuated engine performance is far better than tdi. If you dont want any power or jst day to day needs tdi is enough but sure to maintain the engine.

Its because bosch sensors have complex design and for proper cleaning, you should take those grills off and spray the cleaner through the outlet hole of the sensor which is below the sensor part.

Sorry for the late reply Jake. there's an opening below the sensor body inside and you must insert the cleaner tube into the hole and spray. In order to make this part easy i took the particle guard off. you may not take it if you can find the hole with guards on. thanks

To correctly rectify need to scan for troble codes, and try cleaning the maf n map sensors like in the video.

I dont understand bro, its an electronic control egr, and what pipe are you asking abt? it has jst one pipe that goes to manifold. its easily identified behind the engine jst below the intake manifold.
