- Today we are making Grilled Yogurt Marinated Chicken on the Weber Kettle Grill. I've got a mix of chicken thighs and breasts. We will marinate the chicken for 36 hours, then season it with Rich's River Dirt before grilling on the Weber Kettle Grill.
Ingredients
• 1 bunch chopped cilantro
• 1 cup Greek Yogurt
• Juice from ½ orange
• 2 teaspoons minced garlic
• 2 teaspoons cumin
• 1 teaspoon Himalayan Pink Salt
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 3 chicken thighs
• 2 chicken breasts
• Rich’s River Dirt Hot & Spicy seasoning to taste.
Recipe Instructions
1. Put all ingredients except the Rich’s River Dirt Hot & Spicy in a Ziploc bag, seal and mix well.
2. Open the bag and add the chicken.
3. Place in the refrigerator for 24-36 hours.
4. Remove the chicken from the yogurt marinade and discard the marinade.
5. Season both sides with the Rich’s River Dirt.
6. Grill over medium heat (about 350 degrees F) until the chicken internal temperature is 165 degrees F minimum.
7. Serve!

This looks fantastic! I've done buttermilk + Franks hot sauce and spices marinade with great results, so I'm looking forward to trying the yogurt marinade, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Big Red. We've done buttermilk brined chicken a d love that recipe. I like your idea of adding the hot sauce.
Very nice, i like marinating in yoghurt also, adds a really nice taste to the chicken!

was 80 here a few days ago. went to half moon bay, less then 15 miles away from my house.. you would love it there.
I've been to quite a few places out there, but not Half Moon Bay. Just googled it and it looks awesome.
Hey guys this chicken looked great and I know it tasted great with my River Dirt on them lol! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sending Rich. We really like your spicy rub. Will have some other videos out in the near future.
Yogurt marinade...now I have to try this!! Rich's River Dirt is very good....Rich is a good dude too. Excellent swamp cook Jeff!!
Thanks Rob. You cooking for the Derby tomorrow?
@@Armadillopepper I'll have grill fired up making something I'm sure. What's your Derby Day traditional meal...besides bourbon lol
@@BBQPITDOG Last year we did brisket. I'm making brisket nachos today and mahi mahi tostadas. Have a good one Rob!
Just watched the Derby and the final judgment. Absolutely absurd. What a great race and to have the results changed. ..worst call in American sports history. That ruined the Derby for me and a lot of people.
@@BBQPITDOG Totally agree! My daughter bet the winner! I think this will detract from the derby for years to come. I've been a few times and this reversal sucked.
This recipe looks awesome. Reminds me of an Indian recipe for tandoori chicken.
Thanks Little Wolf. I love Tandoori chicken. Have a great Sunday!
This is my first video of yours since subscribing, and that chicken looks so wonderful. I don't have a grill, so would you suggest oven, or stove top, instead? Thanks for your input. : )
@@Armadillopepper Ok, thank you! : )
Can't wait to try. Btw where do you guys live. Looks tropical
Thanks Diane. Florida this time of year.
Looks good! How do you keep it from sticking?
The yogurt coating really helps. You can also wipe the grill grates with veggie or olive oil.
I could see me doing this recipe for sure, maybe mixing some white Miso paste in, I'd probably have to leave out the cumin even though I love it but Miso and Cumin might wreck the whole thing.. hahah.. Cheers guys. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Thanks Jaxx. I've got to try Miso again.
Looks good, but get yourself some good bbq tools. Looked like a struggle.
How about yogurt marinated chicken bombs???????????
Is that a recipe request?
Hey man..... Great recepe but u need to learn how to use and handle fork and knife.......
I'm a breast guy myself 😉
