The quality of education in Asia like the Philippines, Japan and Korea are extremely high.. I brought my Daughter here in Europe to live with me and study here but what happened was she dominated all her classmates in all subjects until she finished the elementary. In secondary again she dominated again all her classmates until she got bored because she do not find challenge at all. Until then she insisted to get her covid passport and went back to the Philippines to continue her study in secondary when she was got enrolled she immediately joined quiz bee contest and she won the first place. Here in Europe there are few knowledge base competition but more on sports like football. She also joined dancing and singing contest here during public fiesta and she always take home the trophy.😁 Asians are more serious in education when it comes to learning process the only thing went wrong to Asia is the government system. Asian people are workaholic disciplined workers but why we are still behind the westeners system of government?? Because of corruption...new generations are the hope of the future they are the nation builder.😊

In my (state) high school in PH (a while back), almost every year we had a camping or out-of-town trip. Other activities we used to have are intramurals sports activites, so one section vs. another or one batch vs. another. There were also inter-school sports activities/games. We also had school fairs, normally around the foundation day of the school, with food and game booths and a ride. Fun times.

    -May JS ang Pinas
-Graduation may program na maganda iayakan chaka may pa medal
-Ibang teacher di nagbibigay ng pointers to review. Bulagaan ang tawag
-Christmas party tapos ang exchange gift nyo lagi picture frame. Hahahaha
-intrams lahat kasali may pa cheerdance o kaya featival dances

At the same time, you hear about student suicides because of the extreme pressure they are under. Europe & the US has high standards of education too, they are far more innovative! Where great things are invented like: Science, aerospace, medical, medicines, transportation, industrial revolution, technology so on and so on. Books are free, school meals are provided for under priveleged pupils and students. But they only spend 5.5 hours each day 5days a week at school.

I admired the education in Korea. The only thing that I don't like is how much time students spend in classroom. It is not healthy if the students stay until 11pm to study.

  • @GriseWeisshark
    @GriseWeisshark Před 2 lety +18

In the books part, I think her experience is from the public school. From where I studied from grade 1 to 4th year HS, we are given books by the school themselves. Those books are part of our tuition so they are completely ours and doesn't have to be returned.
There are also field trips from where I studied. You pay for it so and it is not mandatory so if you can't afford it, the teacher might give you an alternative activity to do instead. After the trip, we usually do projects or reaction papers about it.
Japan and Korea really takes education *seriously* , huh. Studying until 1am is not healthy for a student. If it were in this country, that school would get sued.

So fun! Still fresh in my memories even if its a decade ago.

    July - nutrion month
August - buwan ng wika(we're not wearing uniform instead maria clara for girls & kamiso chino for boys) for the whole month.
    National month
there are lots of school activities but it depends on the school especially in private schools.

I don't know about public school trips but in my school, we had a lot of field trip especially during elementary, yung high school ay bihira lang since there are a lot of accidents that heppened that's why pinaghihigpitan. During elementary halos every school year, nung highschool ako mga 2-3x lang siguro nang yari sa amin na nagkaroon kami ng field trip but when it comes to recollection and retreat we have it every year. Retreat starts when you are in jhs (grade 10) then shs (11&12).

In my high school life I can say that yun ung pinakamasayang part ng buhay as a teenager.
Lahat ng subject may katumbas na month then laging isinecelebrate ndi nawawala ung dance contest, quiz bee, slogan and poster making contest.
At first month of schooling may may welcome party para sa mga new enrolled parang acquaintance party ganon
Meron din friendship party, valentines party, Halloween party and may despedida party, may graduation party and syempre ndi mawawala ung JS Party!!
Intramurals and cheerdance! Ang saya as in sobrang saya
    Nakakamiss maging high school 😊😊

It also depends on what school you enroll in .Sa akin yung mga elems day ko ( grades 1-3) yung uwian namin 7:30- 12pm tapos yung upper elem ako yun school namin 7:30- 3pm tapos yung JHS ko 7:30- 3:30 pero ako after ng mga class namin late na ako umuuwi dahil may tutor ako ng 30-5:30 . It really depends on what school you go to . Again this is just in my experience sa school ko .

In the Philippines when you are enrolled in a private school, such as Siena College or Dominican College and other Private schools, we have a deisgnated P.E. Uniform and a Daily Uniform, Some private schools don't even have air conditioning units, so you'll be stuck sweating especially for high school students who are wearing a long sleeved attire. Field trips are mostly done in Historical Places such as Cavite or Bulacan, then a side trip to the mall or a shopping center such as Duty Free in Pampanga, then another side trip to a manufcaturing plant or to theme park either Splash Island or Enchanted Kingdom. If you can't pay for the field trip, you will be left in school, trying to accomplish unbelievable amount of assignments.

    6:30AM morning cleaning(optional/schedule cleaners)
    7:00AM flag ceremony
    7:30-9:30 2 subjects
    9:30- 10:00 recess/break time
    10AM -12PM 2 subjects
    12PM- 1PM lunch break
    Then 3/4 subjects until 4PM
    4PM - 4:30 optional/schedule cleaners again.
    Then flag retreat sa friday.
About naman sa school uniform depende din sya pero kung nasa City ka mostly strict ang school like black shoes lagi.. yung rubber shoes pang P.E lang namin tas pede kang mag slipper kung maulan pero need mo padin school shoes pagpasok sa room or wear your shoeput/footsocks lalo na kung may strict adviser kayo. Bawal din black socks sa girl as far as i know. Tapos yung length ng palda below the knee as always, Sa lalaki naman bawal mag Tshirt kung di P.E time then pants, yung short pang elementary lang. Tas pag highschool kana may necktie/ribbon na yung schoolblouse mo, (pansin ko lang).Tapos andaming school rules, no to make up(yung light tolerated)pagkukulay ng buhok.
Basta sa probinsya namin may foundation day pa kami tas magpaparade then my pa ms.school representative pa yan ilalaban sa kabilang school. Haha..
Cute ni Ate magsalita ng tagalog..

Yung sched talaga eh school namin 10 subject (high school) 7:30am start first 2 subjects 9:00 ten minutes recess 9:10 start 3 subjects until 12:00 1 hour lunch pero di ka makakalabas sa campus di kagaya ng ibang school 1:00 pm start first 3 subjects 3:00 15 minutes recess then the last 2 subjects until 5:00 o’clock 11 hours inside the campus 😔 10 subjects every day 1 hour per subject (sometimes extended) wala kami magawa mga sisters kasi may-ari (iniisip ng iba kapag private school ka di mahirap yung mga pinapagawa sa school) we have 8 sets of exams every school year every month may periodical exam kami 1 day puro testpaper nakikita mo dagdag mo pa stress sa pag compile ng lahat ng scores mo para ra portfolio (4 portfolios per subject from 1st to 4th grading) plus compilation sa mga written notes for clearances😔😔😔 ang advantage lang sa school namin di kana mahihirapan sa reporting kasi PowerPoint na ginagamit namin hirap naman kasi sa public gagastos kapa para sa cartolina plus penn tapos ikaw pa ang susulat sa report nasa public na nga lang gagastos pa yung tao🙁
