Because she wise up and put herself first, Irv dragged her for not wanting to stay for 20 years. Irv never really loved Ashanti, cuz he doesn't know how to love anyone but Irv. Narcissists never change.
But irv said clearly in the interview he was separated when he was dealing with Ashanti. He was married yes but separated.
