    One thing I did not show in the video is the ECU tune. Obviously, when changing intake or exhaust significantly, one should use a fuel controller or tune the ECU with a Powervision-CX (from Fuelmoto).

      How did it work out for you? I am thinking you needed to re-cal computer for different air flow?

    I have the new Performance Ram Jet high flow air cleaner from indian, and i am very happy with it. It was installed last week 03/21/17 on my 2017 Chieftain along with Freedom True dual headers and Freedom 4.5 Outlaw pipes. and Stage 2 cams. Great choice for me considering it is the same price as the regular "high flow air cleaner here" I wou ld of done the same air cleaner as here , but i was lucky with the timing as too Indian released it on a Monday and it was ordered just in time to get to my dealer on the following Friday. Nothing against Chad. He is a good guy who has been busy improving his Roadmaster. Sucks that Indian releases new parts right after we purchase parts. 2 days after i purchased mine they started offering it in black... go figure. Keep dong what your doing Chad, love your handlebar video by the way, not sure even after watching your video i have the balls to tackle that yet. By the way it is "suppose to increase HP BY 4 HP. " hard to tell when all of these upgrades get done at once. I wasn't sure if i liked the new air cleaner at first but the more i see it the more i like it. Really is quite massive. I will be doing a video on all of the endless upgrades i have done on my new Chieftain soon $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ .

      Cams are next for sure... I had been waiting to see the new Indian AC, but after I saw it, it was too much like the old bedpan for my taste. I prefer the look of the original. Been out of town for two weeks... I'll finally get to ride more today! :)

      Chad, I understand it's all about personal preferences. At first when i saw it I wasn't sure about it myself. Now it has grown on me I think it gives the bike a certain character too it. Hope you enjoy your ride and stay safe.

      Michael Rhymer considering the stage 2 cams from Indian or now Lloydz has some as well. What's your take on them? Any more top end noise (valve train)?

    Great video, used it to flow through my install. I will note a few things. The gromets that you need to take off the old mounting bracket unit and reuse are a bitch to take off and put on the new...they do have little metal sleeves in them that you need to reuse also. Thanks

    Just did this install on my 2019 CDH only difference is the throttle body o-rings that need to be re-used are different so had to order 2 o-rings #5813886 and install was perfect thanks to you.

    • @smsgtjoe8411
      @smsgtjoe8411 Před 4 lety

      why did you have to re-use o-rings for 2019? The re-used o-rings were for the spacer, which isn't used for 2019 and newer. However, the on that came in my kit was too big, by at 1/8 of an inch, also, while I was trying to get the o-ring installed, I noticed a hairline crack in the surface that mounts up to the throttle body. Have to wait until Tuesday to see what the dealer will say or do, hopefully, they exchange it for me. Otherwise, I'm out 519.00

      @soga77 Před 4 lety

      @@smsgtjoe8411 the high flow intake as advertised should be compatible with the 2019 and 2020 and in the instructions it calls for the re-use of the o-rings from the original intake which is not compatible with the high flow intake I ended up ordering the o-rings from a 2018 cheiftain which work perfectly no problems then took to dealer for the tune. The dealer and Polaris customer service have been pretty good so far at resolving issues like that so I think u will be fine.

    Chad...thanks for sharing the A/C install. I have been trying to decide on this A/C or the new kit that just recently was released (# 2881779-156). Curious to know if you considered the new option and why you chose this version. Great job on your videos....very informative. Cheers - Kevin

      @ChadsStuff  Před 7 lety

      Yea....I was waiting to see what it was after I heard the rumor of a new AC. Finally got impatient and had some expiring gift certificates to blow, so I ordered the one in the video. But after I saw the new one I was glad I got the old/current one. New one is not my style and too much like the old bed pan. The lack of aesthetics aren't worth the couple extra HP it *might* produce... IMHO

      Thanks! Man! It's been a while. But looking at the vide around 11:54, it looks like the hose provided with the kit is just a bit longer. I can't say for sure, but my official answer is maybe! LOL

    I think this might be a step in the wrong direction. Using the filter, negates the frame AIR BOX in frame which is there for a GOOD REASON! How did this turn out for you?
    BTW, good video Sub'd and T-up!
    Indian engineers would not have gone to all the trouble of incorporating the frame as part of the induction system. It would have saved them a lot of time and money to just mount a filter to the Throttle body with no further engineering acumen !!!! What say you? ALSO WHAT ABOUT re-cal of engine computer?

    • @ChadsStuff
      @ChadsStuff  Před 5 lety

      It's been so long since I did this mod, I'm not sure I follow. I guess you're talking about the cap for the frame part of the stock air flow? My guess is that since the stock air box was kind of enclosed, it needed a little more help getting air in from the front of the frame.... while the high flow air cleaner can suck all the air it needs directly.
      Either way, it's been working great!
      And, yes... any change to the intake / exhaust usually gets an ECU re-program, which I did using the PVCX.

    • @davidfalgout7304
      @davidfalgout7304 Před 5 lety

      @@ChadsStuff I am glad it is working great. If you don't mind I have a few questions. The same questions I would ask should we meet at a rally. Have you ridden through pouring rain? How do you service the air filter, just replace & how often?
      If you don't mind what does the air filter cost. What changes in the way the engine runs.... have you noticed?
