    I'm lil bit late with my comment, but i loved the video. As someone that have had both products at the same time, i can say both are amazing. However, as you perfectly said, they were made for diferent purposes. Moroccanoil is an amazing night treatment and post bleaching for frizzy hair/ normal hair (I use it as a deep serum. If you have thick hair you can applied in your treatments to bust its nourishing power. You wont regret it!). On the other side, the Kerastase Elixir Ultime leaves a super shine finish, its gentler and runny, but lighter in formulation (its better for when you blow dry your hair and as night serum after blow dry and straigthening procedures.) both smells AMAZING. In case these serves to any one: my hair is normal/fine, wavy, frizzy (level 1-2 porosity cuz I blowdry it in every wash, greasy roots and dry lengts, and is always under the caribbean sun as i live in that tropical area. I need lot of nutrition and hydration on my hair. Love you Johan, such a great video!

      @@JohnJohanhair hi. I just ended up seeing this video after actually buying the Kerastase one. It’s my first time using it and I’ve been enjoying it quite a bit. However I have to mention that I have not used it on damp hair yet. Only 1/2 pumps alternate days on my ends. Has worked on my frizz from what I can see. I’ve used the Moroccan oil and finished the bottle. And I’ve to say it didn’t do a lot like it claims. I felt it was heavy for my hair type and didn’t really see it worth 30 pounds ( Rs 3000 as per INR ). I was confused between buying olaplex or kerastase. But as of now I’m going to use kerastase and may be take the plunge for olaplex once I’m through with this bottle.

      @@sanjanamisar thank you for letting me know , im glad to hear reviews from your guys! Yes I prefere the kerastase in majority type of hair , since as I say on the video the morrocan oil is on the heavy side.
      Using on the dry hair is perfect, works as a serum ! You can use it on a wet hair too before you style it. But if you use on dry hair too just make sure you not use much. Maybe only 1 pumb.
      Since you have the products you can try it and see if it works with your hair :) you can experiment 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I just use bio Argan oil to scrunch out the gel cast. I loveeee the smell of Moroccanoil though! Great video and a great explanation. I have a very short platinum pixie which requires a lot of maintenance. My hair is straight and of medium weight. I rely on serums/oils to add shine, help with breakage, help with dryness, etc. I just purchased the Kerastase Oil and will try it for the first time. I have used Kevin Murphy's "young again" oil, which has also worked very well. Another favorite is "pure polish" by Eufora, with excellent results - it alleviates frizziness, gives shine to dry, fly-away hair, and is good with split ends. (I purchased this product in the US and wonder if it's available worldwide).

      When you use it before flat iron make.surr first you drying your hair and it doesn't feel feel wet from the oil. Maybe first do a quick blast with a dryer.
      Also is all about the amount you use. I would say 1 to 2 pumps maximun would be enough to apply middle and ends and not make your greasy. I would prob start with one pump and use one more if needed. If you use a lot of it will defently make your hair greasy. So only apply a small amount . And if yiu use it as finishing , defently 1 pump would be more than enough.

I have black dry,a little thick, a little bit wavy hair long hair. what I want is an oil which makes my hair silky which gives the blow dry effect at least slightly. that's the dream hair for me. Thank you for watching and for your question. A oil does not make the hair sticky , but if is too heavy might make the hair greasy. Now since you used the rose ,I would say , if you feel the rose oil from kerastage doesn't do much of a sleek result then Moroccan oil Is defo the choice for you. Moroccan oil is heavier so you will get that sleek result on hair. Does that help?

      Majority of cosmetic products use alergens , and in hair products silicon is very common. A high end products usually the silicon is in much lower levels compare to cheaper products and that's why the price is higher and is better for the hair. So less silicon better is. But same time if it was a pure oil and nothing else would be too heavy any oil and would work only as a treatment , no fo styling purpose. Now for alergens is not neseesery a bad thing as long you don't have any alergy in any of the ingredients base on FDA. I have the link here for more information

      Depending the hair and how dry it is. Oil is natural and can be used everyday if needed and don't make the hair gressy. General rule everytime time we wash the hair.

So you can treat it . And yea stick with kerastsge cuz is lighter oil to moisture you hair . But won't treat your hair from hair loss. It will just keep your hair more moisture and healthy

      Can be used yes. With a dryer. If you use flat iron or hot tools make sure the hair is not wet from the products ( if that make sense ) don't use this instead of a heat protection .

      I will agree with the comment, don't cut them and don't try to do anything with them . More you do worst is it.
      The maximum you could do a little bit of a hairspray on them and blend it in with your hair .

    • @JohnJohanhair
      @JohnJohanhair  Před rokem +2

      You can use pure argan oil and in some cultures they do. But you will be able to use it only as a treatment. Means you will apply on hour hair leave it for few hrs and then you will have it wash it. Because is gonna make your hair very greasy and heavy after couple hrs and won't be easy to style it. Does that make sense and helps?
