I saw a man on a tractor plowing the field in front of our house, as it was actively raining and his yellow rain coat was covered in blood like liquid that ran down his yellow coat. I felt naseous and waited until my husband got home to tell him. I didnt have pictures so we waited and sure eough it happened again, we thought is was coming from the sky. Each time we noticed this we got more nad more concerned. We spoke to our new neighbors who had lived there all their life. They told us it was where the company who made bologna from beef and pork would wait until it rained to bring the blood and guts from this business and plow it down into the ground. It was their field to do so. In the summer time the flies we would get at that farmette were huge and green and hard, they would all die on our drive way. I now learned that, it was a practice in the old days, but these guys were trying to cut corners as it was in the 80s-90-s that we lived there. Now those in that area cant use their water, the fields have been ruined by this practice. I wondered if this is why I have so many problems physically. Exposed to who knows what during that time. But seeing that yellow rain coat running with blood in the rain was enough that I will remember it always.
