Main problem is medical insurance, dental cost, living cost, zero saving for old age. Add to that drugs problem, children growing up are not safe, loneliness and bullying in schools.

If you feel skeptical, one way to settle well in US ask anyone you know ( friend or relative) if they know of any reliable indian contact person in the city/town you are going to settle. Get the contact info. of an indian person like that. Then speak with this indian person who is settled in the town/city you are going to. Then that indian person can recommend any safe apartment complexes where lot of indian community are staying and which part of town the schools have a better rating, which subdivision has the most indian community etc.. A few of my friends have done this way, and they are quite happy.

Being an indian American and having grown up in the US, I can tell u this. It really depends on where you are living in America. In one of the US states called new jersey, at least 1/3 are indian population. In new york city, there are so many Indians living there. In Chicago, there are so many Indians. In these places you will find streets where they are filled with indian stores and Indian shops and you can get everything : sweets and other foods for every Hindu or Muslim festival, indian clothing boutiques, Pooja items, etc.. You name it you'll get it. You can even try to bargain with the shop owner if you think he/she is trying to charge you more for whatever products you want to buy.
And in some communities like Gujarathi and Punjabi communities, they will actually buy their home in the same subdivision and they will be living 2 or 3 streets away from each other in walking distance. And people will invite each other for laxmi pooja, diwali pooja, and exchange sweets, navrathri pooja, etc...
In the south indian community, telugu people are like this. They will buy houses in the same subdivision visit each for Ugadi which is telugu new year, deepavaLi and other Hindu festivals.
And yes, you do need to do all your chores yourself here in US. You need to cook, clean your house, do laundry, buy groceries, ( you can do that online now through Amazon or instacart if you have enough money and get your groceries delivered to your home; but indian groceries, you still need to physically go and get them as indian grocery shops are not listed on instacart) You can get a cleaning lady to clean your house if you wish to but cleaning ladies will charge according to your house size, room size, and it will also depend on the services that are done such as separate charge for mopping and sweeping all floors in your house, separate charge for vacuuming, separate charge for waxing wood floors, separate charge for bathroom cleaning, separate charge for kitchen cleaning, etc...
    I hope this helps

I did not have good job to begin with but later I had good job and I made nice living. I became citizen and sponsored my relatives and they did the same and grew up to 250+ They all happy and made good living. Some became millionaire. आप दोनों ने सारे point सही लिए ये problems है
    1. मिल जाती है live in वाली भी असल बात ये है की afford नहीं हो सकती बहुत expensive होगी
    2. जैसी pay वैसा खर्चा earn in dollars spent in dollars
    3. I heard some saying India की याद आ रही है अगर ये आप की शिकायत है तो ये universal है आप जहां अपनी family से दूर हुए आप को ये problem होगी Delhi के हो Banglore में job है आप को loneliness की शिकायत होगी ये normal है
    4. Parents की problem है no doubt. I think main problem is not कोई दिखता नहीं Indian as such do not have concepts that there are places where parents can go and have fun. Even if they know where to go you will need a car to go there and English to communicate. In nutshell hard on parents.
    5. Point of car is true, it is part of life in US, the phrase you need legs car is your medium to go around here.
    6. Insurance is a concept you have to live with it.
    In nut shell जब अपना देश छोड़ कर कहीं और जाओ तो देश देश में छोड़ कर आओ ये समज आ गया तो life मस्त है वरना भाई रोने के बहाने कभी भी मिल जाते है
I believe if you survive first 5 years in US it will be impossible to leave the country. The percentage of people going back to their native country reduces drastically after they have stayed more than 5 year in US. If you do not have visa issues, that I heard is also a very big issue in Indian community.

Rajat Bhai to be honest with you mujhe US bilkul achha nahi laga main tourist visa par gaya tha but sirf 24 din me waha se wapis bhaag aaya mujhe waha sabne kuch din or waha rehne ke liye bohot kaha but Mera waha Dil hi nahi laga because waha ke culture or hamare culture me bohot jada fark hai. Jisme adjust karne me mujhe bohot jada problem ho Rahi thi.
Waha har koi apne kaam me busy rehta hai waha life ko enjoy karne ka matlab sirf weekend hota hai. Work day's me waha kisi ke pass dhang se family me bethkar ek sath khane tak ka time nahi hai jo chij mujhe sabse bekar lagi. Mere dadu (grandfather) kehte the insaan chahe Sara din kuch bhi kare kahi bhi rahe lekin raat ka khana poori family ko hamesha ek sath bethkar khana chahiye isse family me ek dusre ke liye pyaar bana rehta hai.
Jab main Chhota tha to mujhe bhi abroad Jane ka bohot keeda tha but trust me 17 desh ghumne ke baad main yeh baat bol Raha hoon. Mujhe mera India jada achha lagta hai. Yaha jaisi mauj duniya me kahi nahi hai. I think US ghumne firne ke liye or paisa kamane ke liye thik hai but waha rehna I don't think it's good idea baki sabki apni soch hai.

If you are living in Dallas, TX USA from India have a get together then life will be enjoyable in the USA. Try to coordinate with each other all Indians living in and around your locality as well as Dallas. At least have a getogether once in a month or try to meet with each other on Indian festivals. Then I think you all like minded Indians will not feel Home Sickness in foreign land. It is my suggestion to all NRIs living in the USA as well as any country of the world.
My son has been living in Dallas Texas USA for the last nine years and is facing the same type of problem there as you narrated in this video. Both are working in Dallas Texas USA. Try to make a list of all Indians living there and getting to know each other.

After living in this country for about 30 years, I've come to realize that where you live matters most. Especially in places like NJ, specifically Edison, you have access to numerous resources that can enhance every aspect of your life, whether it's social connections, job networks, or religious beliefs. It's worth noting that NJ is the highest taxpayer state in the USA, which means you get what you pay for.

No salary on time, duty hours are from sunrise to sunset. One day off in a month and one month vacation for three years. Six persons forced to stay in a single room like chickens. Company sponsors hold your passport and sometimes they don't give even for renewals. If you complain about duty hours or accommodation or food, you would be put next available flight to India.

No sir, Kuwait is good for only uneducated people. There is lot of discrimination to foreign workers. There's no labour law. If there's one, it favours to locals. Foreign workers are treated as second class humans. Even highly qualified Indians get one fourth salary, of what locals get for the same job. That's why most well educated / technicians (Indians) migrate to other countries.

So the search is for better place, more money, more knowledge, better living and an inflated Ego. This driving force is with our ancestors, now it is with us and will continue with our future generations too. Let the show run in this way. But be happy, and God bless you.

You have not mentioned school taxes even in your previous 6 month old video with the state tax and all... as the school directly doesn't take a fee, but being a homeowner, you need to pay school taxes here in Pennsylvania in addition to state and all. That's a huge extra... it's as good as an extremely high monthly school fee. Nothing is free. Schools need funds, and it comes from the residents. Plus, if you have a little one like us, Preschool has a very high fee, which is extra, which you did mention.

Biggest problem in America is Medical services. One must have Health insurance to get treated even for common ailments. In India, Medical treatment is far cheaper than in America. One of my friend's new born baby was in Hospital for 15 days and his bill was $ 200000, so that was shocking for him and even health insurance couldn't coved that much he had to shell out $ 48000 from his pocket.
After learning the reality of US life from my sister and other relatives and friends, I think if a person is rich here in India, there is no need to dream of going and settling in US just for showing Off and underestimating your relatives and friends.

America is not what it was 20 yrs ago. Nowadays there is more violence, shootings in schools and public places, more Racism, divisive politics etc. On the other hand, India has grown by leaps and bounds during the same time. Better Infrastructure, Ease of Living, Material comforts alongside solid social networks. But people migrate for various reasons, Good luck in their adventures. America is America, India is India. You pick and choose 😊

We are living more than two decades. Best government system. People grow here and bright future for everyone. I am giving USA 10/10 stars.
