The whole incident was the wife’s fault. The husband clearly didn’t want to take the child. He hadn’t shown up for a birthday in four years. The wife insisted that he take the child and left to go talk on the phone. You would think she would want to watch how the husband was interacting with the child seeing that he hadn’t spent much time with her. Also, the husband always left whatever he was doing as soon as he got a call about an animal. Therefore, the mother should have been there with them just in case he got a call; which he did.
The mother was caught up in her own delusion. The happy family that she wanted was never going to happen because she married a man who just didn’t care about her or any children he would have with her. He really should have just stayed single or married someone who just liked animals as much as he did. He was more suited to have animal children than human children.

It's even worse that he truly doesn't know about his daughter's death for longer, evilly disagrees, she's dead, along with calling the death certificate fake, disagreeing with his FIL, bringing those evil sea hags into his marital home and allowing them more power than his wife, abusing his wife, and telling his wife that he's taking custody of their daughter because he's a better parent. He's not just brainless. He's vile. He even kicked his own daughter's burial urn over, pushed his wife to cause her to miscarry, and buried a dog's ashes in place of his daughter's. He has never shown remorse or regret. He defends his actions as if he I'd in the right. I studied to be a vet. Yes, we get busy but never to this extent. We don't neglect the human aspect of our career. A happy pet is a happy pet owner, but we are aware of our colleagues, family, friends, and ourselves. He is not human.

He was just so cold to her, imagine home life before the daughters death. Makes me think he actually never liked her and always wanted out. The moment she says let's divorce, he isn't even blinking or worried calls her heartless (no panic).
Also mum asking a ROCK to love her (&daughter) was also responsible. She passed on her hope of him changing on to her daughter, hence paid a higher price.

Those plots are getting worse. Now even a dog is more important than kids. Sorry, this is the worst adaptation of this script. The others at least had revenge, this had nothing like that. And the husband just dies instead of living in hell for the rest of his life. Nope.

It was stressful and cliche, but I still enjoyed it. 😅 I wanted to be mad at the female lead for enduring a loveless marriage, but she put her child's happiness first, so I can't just ignore that and be completely made at her. 😤 Still, it's sad that the daughter endured pain to be with her dad and he left her to attend to someone else at every opportunity. 🙄😑

The mother is to be blamed. She had a child with a man who had no interest in children and refused to leave him. You can’t force anyone to love. In four years the father always found an excuse not to spend a birthday with his daughter and the mother stayed with a man like that. The child can’t leave on her own. The child drowned because the mother forced the father to be with the child when he clearly didn’t want to. She brought the child to the beach and left her with a man who prioritized animals over humans. He never hid that fact. At the very least, she should have been watching them instead of being off talking on her phone.
Her husband had already showed her who he was. She just refused to leave him. Therefore, she failed to protect her child.

At the very least, the mother should have supervised this first outing to see how it goes. You are stuck on the fact that the husband is the father. Not all fathers wanted children or should be left alone with them. If mothers have those type of husbands, they then either need to leave or protect their children from them.

She did tell him that his daughter in the ambulance and that he was blocking the road and preventing his daughter from getting the medical help she need quickly but he refuses to listen to his wife while telling his wife that his mistress and her dog comes first and then pushed his wife off his car and drive off with his mistress and her dog while having the other cars blocking the road preventing the ambulance from passing through to go to the emergency room and before that she called him to tell him that his daughter is seriously hurt but he made the choice to constantly hang up on his wife.
Also through this disgusting and disturbing drama the male lead have never once listened to his wife or put his daughter first. Also as the the wife said he never remembers that he have a daughter until she is dead.
Last the male lead remembers how many times his wife tries to called him to tell him about their daughter which he ignores for his mistress and her dog and the male lead also remembers how how he insults, disrespect and ignored his wife cries for help for their injured daughter and he pushed her hands off his car and drive away with his mistress and her dog without looking back.
Lastly the husband also remembers how he pushed and kicked his wife down at the grave yard with their daughter ashes in her hands for his mistress and the mistress dead dog and how their daughter ashes was spilled on the ground because him.

I agree that this is the worst version yet for all the reasons stated in the other comments but also because every main character dies. Only the FIL and the mistress are alive, but orobably not for long. The mistress will most likely get the death oenalty, and the FIL will ensure that. This ML is vile AND clueless. He not only didn't know his daughter was allergic to pet hair but also that she had been dead for days. The wife weakly did try to tell him, but he just wouldn't believe or listen. This version had a young adult lolita and a dog to distract the ML. He even brought that evil duo into his marital home whel still married and the lolita into his daughter's bed. He didn't even believe his own FIL. That poor old man lost everything because of that vile SIL. I'm betting the qife's cancer was also caused by all the grievances she harbored in her heart for years of neglect, abuse, and abandonment. She was horribly stimulated. While the karma was a bit light for my tastes, the ML did die by the hands of the mistress. Sometimes the karma handed by fate and the heavens is worse than what we experience in this reality. Hopefully in the next life, the FL and her daughter will find a better home/man and the ML either never reincarnates or suffers hell on earth for atonement.

We have pets and love them, but the direction of this story was just dumb. ML was mean. He actually kicked FL at the grave; what was the director thinking? The 1st 2 versions I watched, at least ML loved his wife and child and showed some remorse. Priorities were just messed up, and he was stupid. FL was too weak in this version. She didn't protect her daughter in life nor in death. Early death too easy; one needs to suffer and repent.
