It's a great and clear explanation. And it's "post recording" so it's not going to compare to a vid filmed with short focal length. I'll be interested to hear you talk about apps for iphone 12pro that give genuine bokeh with short focal length via the LIDAR. Everyone talks about Focoslive but they got really expensive.

Hi there. Chatting with you in another channels video just now. I actually came across this exact video yesterday while trying to find this option. It all looks the same up until the lens button, whee I don’t see an option for blur, nor a search bar.

There’s a button on the bottom left that allows to toggle between menus…that will enable you to get to the lens button

Try using the brush effect like I do towards the end of the video. That way it will cut out exactly what you want.

I had that problem too…I gave up on brushing the object I wanted to be visible…instead, after I hit “cutout” I chose “remove background”…and yes, even though the results were indeed spotty, I still saved that video to my camera roll…then I took that video to CapCut, and “customized cutout” worked

Essentially, the background was blurred twice…most of it was blurred the first time…the rest of it was blurred on the 2nd edit…if that’s too much blur for you, fortunately you can choose how strong you want the blur to be…when you first select “blur” an option will appear that will say “adjust” and that’s where you can choose the strength of the blur

Capcut blur effect is just too complicated. They should copy blur effect from KINEMASTER, INSHOT or POWER DIRECTOR. all you have to do is select blur from effects and it appears as an overlay over the main clip with handles to adjust the size, width length and position. Capcut blur is too stressful

Hmm maybe I can help. It sounds like you need to extend the length of your blur. With the blur layer selected, grab and drag layer handles to extend. Let me know and we’ll go from there.
