I have a Bosch CX bike & a Bafang M620 w/2300w & while this test highlights the overall speed difference it can't demonstrate the huge difference in performance in the woods. The Bafang's torque (220Nm+) vs. 90Nm for the Bosch completely transforms the bike.
A Bafang Ultra's performance (especially a modified one) is really much closer to a pedal motorcycle than a bicycle so if you looking for a ride like an mtb, they aren't for you. As the ebike market matures I think it is segmenting into the light-mid powered, "full" powered & for a very few (mostly with dirtbike experience), the 1500+ watt segments. Unfortunately, it will be very difficult to have a group ride with mixed level bikes because the performances of each type is so different.

Does your beast have same issue like mine? When accelerating bike is being crocked in middle back wheels change position to the left?

Thanks for the entertainment and information. You don't say whether the bikes are locked or unlocked, ie; limited or unlimited.

You really should have mentioned the weight of each bike. I think the beast is 90 pounds? Also I have owned several Bafang ultra bikes with the better innotrace controller, and the sensitivity sucks. Compared to a Bosch when you’re riding on a trail. That beast is strictly for open areas. I wouldn’t trust it on anything technical.

Absolutely correct. In a technical trail the Bosch is much (!) better. And: One bike is legal, the other not.
