no it was composed by Barry and Robin Gibb for the Beegees. it was sung amazingly by Nina Simone. this version too is excellent, agonizingly heartbreaking and soulful, and this version has a great beat.
Yeah. Then it was stolen by The Bee Gees and then they turned Janis Joplin on to it. And Lizz Wright heard it and thought “ if I slow it down a little bit...” Then these guys heard it.
