These videos are phenomenal. The amount of effort you put in between the video and PDF file, along with your patience is fantastic. Natural born teacher. Also, 10 minutes length is perfect for these types of videos.
joker2x I can't agree with you more!
Look, I almost know all YT accounts that teach Russian, but i ve nt found as perfect as urs .. super teacher.. I cant thank u enough .
Wow! I sincerely appreciate your words! And very happy to help!
I love the pacing of this video. Even when I didn’t know the word, it was clearly said so I can search it up without the transcript. Thank you for this!
I’ve been learning for several years, and this was the first time I have understood almost everything you were saying. This was very exciting. Thank you, Max! This was an excellent lesson.
I often rewatch your videos and each time I get a new word or two from it.
Congrats on 5k subs by the way, although you deserve more like 50,000!

Best content loving these old videos. I'm working my through them all.
Thank you for all your hard work in making these videos!
This video is perfect in every way--the effective use of the TPR, the visuals, dynamic presentation and interactive Q and A, not to mention the bilingual PDF text!!! Thank you so much, Max, for the top-notch job! I'm just so happy that I found your channel after months of following a few other Russian language CZcamsrs, which actually had made me discouraged about my learning. Now I'm recommitted and will definitely check out more of your videos.
Best Channel for learn russian .
Excellent video Max! I learned about your channel from Darya and already, I am awed by how effective your method is. If any of my friends learn Russian, I will definitely recommend your channel!

Super well done video! Thanks. It's really helpful to have the pictures for context. I understood more than I expected the first time through.
Madeline!!
Simply BRILLIANT! Thank you so much!
I have already watched this video several times and have learned a lot! I find that turning on the Russian captions helps with comprehension. Of course, in an actual conversation you do not have this option. Therefore, I also watch without the captions. This might be your best video yet!
+language fan Thank you, for your feedback! About the captions... It may make sense, yes. Probably, next time I'll do vocabulary explanations at the beginning, to reach the best comprehension.
Thank you so much! This exactly what i've been looking for.
I'm very happy that it helps:)
Your lessons are well made and easy to follow, you deserve more subscribers!
I'm happy to serve all the people who find my work useful, no matter whether the amount is 100 or 10000. More over I think this community of people is the best on CZcams!!:))
Your vlog is really quite hidden in search results. I have been watching Russian language learning videos for two months now and only came across you channel a couple of weeks ago. Your videos are very well done and so helpful.
I'm doing these videos a bit more than a half of a year so they are not so hmm... famous...yet xD Anyway I'm just very exciting that they may help)
Excellent video based on sound principles of second language acquisition. Thank you so much for your work.

Thank you so much for these videos Max! I would love if you did some more of these bigginner level videos, that seems like the hardest level to get over in the language.
I came up with a new Slavic name for you Первосвет.
However it's more a male name^^
So far I focus on intermediate content, but I don't know what will happen in the future:)

Thank you
great, thanks
I keep watching without subtitles, and I can't figure out what this word is: 'adel' or 'odel'. Is it a bin or container in the grocery store? Did I hear this word correctly? Is it 2 words: а дел/о дел?
+Craig G It has PDF transcript, btw:) Овощной отдел. It's a department in the supermarket. I'm impressed with you diligence! Yes, indeed, we usually cancel "T" sound in such words and double "Д" sound.
Например:
Addelka
Addelenie pochty
Adduvatsa
That makes sense. I knew about the PDF but I was trying to listen without reading for as long as I could. But now I have read it. Thank you for all that you are doing!
You, definitely, chose the right way.
Cool videos!! I'll be recommending for sure.
Hey, I watched this again with my 7 year old. She's an ace at Russian but hardly ever speaks. Always answers in English. Which is frustrating as it's all in there. Anyway - she speaks to you!! She answered all your questions and loved doing it. So we'll keep learning together. Our 6 year old was just watching but hopefully he'll join in too. @@RussianWithMax
VERY GOOD WİTH PDF
super
+Sasha Konotopetz
Çok iyi bir öğretmensiniz, başarınızı tebrik ediyorum.
Diğer yorumlarda videoların pdf lerinden bahsedildiğini okudum. Ben göremedim...

Hi Max ! Thanks a lot for the lesson ! The link to the pdf file seems to be broken, is it possible to fix ? Thanks !
thank for your video! But I cannot download the PDF, how can I solve the problem?
He Mix, thank you for the lesson. Though I cannot access the PDF. Can I please request it? Thank you
i cant find pdf text....link on google drive not work.
Cpaciba for your work, and to promot russian cultur!! ;)
Thank you, you are a good teacher, anyway this made me laugh a lot 3:09 :D
Thx! Happy to hear that:)
У меня один вопрос: did you say "я ходил в магазин" because you went to the store and then you returned home (because it was not a one-way trip)?
I have gone' .
Those two emphasize slightly different details.
@@RussianWithMax Thanks! I have all these verbs in my Passive Memory (even though I have watched many "verb of motion" lessons by you and others). When I hear "я ходил / я сходил / я поехал", my brain thinks "I went". When I speak or write in Russian, I use the basic verbs:
To put them into learners' heads unconsciously. Yes, I'll do so... Definitely
Hi. Thanks for lessons. Pdf is not available. :(
My Russian-English dictionary lists "кассир" and "кассирша" for "cashier". Is it more common to simply use "кассир" for both men and women?
If you ever should move to Kyrgyzstan, please let me know. I want you as my Russian teacher :-).
I heard people screaming tonight. I looked outside and saw a man standing on the balcony, ready to jump, from the 18th floor! I opened the door and he could hear my computer, listening to "Russian with Max" and he slowly climbed down from the ledge and went inside his flat....
Who we gonna call? Max's busters!! Teaching makes me feel good! (Main riff)
@1:26 -> it's a german Aldi?! :D
I have a question. Why is it Он был просто огромный! and not огромным? I thought the case would switch to instrumental when its after был.
Both are okay. I tried to simplify the text.
The best way is огромным, that's true, however you may hear огромный too.
@@RussianWithMax ah ok. Thank you very much for this quick answer. :)
My friend thanks for your effort but you must put English subtitles because most the people they are watching don't Russian language very good .
It's in my list to do:)
Where can I find the PDF file?
Kareem Kadhim in the description.drive.google.com/file/d/14mwqfaib-mme9MYHTOQv-I3JrYfrs5WU/view
Nice video! If I go to the supermarket is: Я хочу в супермаркете?
'I go to the supermarket'? Or I understood your question wrong?
Russian With Max No, it’s about «в» и «на» the first is in a closed spaces and the second in opened spaces?
Yes, that's right.
(closed space)
(opened)
What i understand... you say you want to cook a meal you want and you are missing 3 ingredients. You go to a supermaket by bus that is not far from your home...in fact its ten minutes from you house. Thats what i understand for now.
Good job, Max! One thing I'd like you to do is talk Russian all through the vid. The instructions are repeated in other vids as well I guess, so people would get used to understanding what you're saying. English subs would do, you don't need to speak English. How about giving it a try?
Hello, Botond and big thx for your feedback! About English instructions at the beginning in each video yes, I think most of the people already got them, but there are still some new ones who watch the video for the first time and for those brief introduction might be useful. On the other hand I want to speak Russian more but it makes sense when it is understood only therefore I gotta find a way to convey the meaning thoroughly
Okay, I'm being selfish. As a fellow TPRS'er, I'd like to know how to give the instructions in Russian and I know you'd be the perfect model for me. If you talk slowly and have the words in English on the screen at the same time, everyone will benefit. Why not give it a try, Max? ;) By the way, I totally love what you are doing. Bolshoe spasibo!!!!!
I think I did it once, but can't remember the exact video. Anyway, it's a good idea to do so and I like the very idea to reduce amount of spoken English here, but do more comprehensible Russian. Thank you!:)
Wonderful video. But where are the conflicts? Thieves? Putin? Vodka?
@@RussianWithMax Thank you, but I don't speak Russian. Google translate did a good job. I love TPRS and I love what you are doing. I hope to see you at a TPRS conference some time. I saw the beautiful Katya Paukova do a TPRS story about Putin riding a tiger and drinking Vodka 🤣 🤣 🤣 in Boston, MA in 2018.
