My review of the MEV Fire Bible from Life Publishers. Note - at 1:18 I said it has a sewn binding, but it's actually glued. See the written review at BBG: biblebuyinggui... Purchase from Amazon: amzn.to/2xxsvvJ
I have 3 Fire Bibles. I really like and recommend it. I might get the MEV one next. I also have an Expositor's Study Bible and the Dake Bible, but I much prefer and recommend the Fire Bible.
Great Bible for in-depth study. I have both the MEV and ESV Fire Bibles. Love them both. The Theme finder Index is such a jewel. The Articles are extremely helpful. The Article on Effective Praying is worth taking time to dig into. The Outlines at the beginning of each book of the Bible are also very helpful. Definitely worth purchasing. Great Review!
I was shocked when I saw the red letters in this Bible! Haha. I like a darker red as well. I kind of like the simplicity of this book without color and just focuses on the words.
I bought an MEV FIRE BIBLE for a friend. I was a little disappointed in the paper. It was much thinner and a bit too transparent for me. Of course I’m comparing to the ESV FIRE BIBLE. Good review Randy.
From what I can tell, if you want an MEV study Bible then this is your ONLY option. I have not found any other. I'm not even Pentecostal but I may pick this up at some point just to have a study Bible in the MEV translation.
There is a Spiritual Warfare Study Bible available in MEV. I have it and this Fire Bible. I'd recommend either one, but definitely love The Fire Bible! So much packed in there.
Please can you confirm that the Holman Study Bible does not have charismatic/Pentecostal commentary? How does the Holman Bible treat the gifts of the Spirit? If the MEV Fire Bible more appropriate as a study Bible for Spirit-filled Christians than the Holman?
The Holman is from a Southern Baptist viewpoint. The Fire Bible is more appropriate for Spirit-filled Christians than the Holman. This includes the Fire Bible from all the various publishers including the MEV, the Life in the Spirit Study Bible from Zondervan, the Fire Bible from Hendrickson, etc. It's available in NIV, KJV, MEV, and ESV.
Thank you so much for your feedback, very much appreciated! 👍 It would be nice one day if the Charismatic/Pentecostal community published a study Bible with as much information as the Holman, but with 'Spirit-filled' notes (so to speak).
@@Visonista I’m a Pentecostal pastor and I love the Dake Bible. Do I agree with every note? No. But that’s the case with most study bibles. The Dake is a good Pentecostal study source.
@@chris2fur401 Thank you for your recommendation. Since posting that comment I have now given out several 'Fire Bibles' and these have been well received.
Hello which bible puts more emphasis/focus on holy spirit in terms of his presence, power, person and work the fire bible or the spirit fill life bible? Plz reply asap and let me know blessings bye
I have loved my Life in the Spirit Bible for 20yrs and its starting to fall apart, but It’ notes are toned down a bit and are VERY GOOD. BUT THIS NEW FIREBIBLE has Dr. Stamps ORIGINAL UNCUT NOTES just as he originally intended them for future Pastors in the Missionary field. I just talked to my(Assembly of God)Pastor and he told me that he endorsed the M.E.V. He also told me that when I place the order to get two and the Church will reimburse me cuz he wants to get one for someone else. So if he being a pastor for 26yrs is willing to pass them along to his flock that’s the best recommendation I know.(aside from Jesus himself) hope this helps you fellow family member. Peace to you.
The MEV seems to be gaining in popularity among the pentecostal movement.
