Just upgraded from the crock pot brand pressure cooker czcams.com/users/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg which worked great for the past year but I ended up hating the non stick. The metal trivet it came with scratched the non stick and the trivet corroded. We are really happy with our Insta so far and use this all the time for ribs, chicken, black beans, sweet potatoes, etc. The stainless inner pot is easy to clean and even though both brands function the same the overall quality of this one is better. This is a kitchen must have because it cooks things that used to take hours in 30 minutes!
Thank you for this video! I just got an Instant Pot today and I am excited to use it!!
Omg. I love your instructions. I was going to lose my mind cooking this meal.
Love the instant pot, I enjoyed your video. I use a small brush to clean around the base. I also have a pair of white wool gloves from the dollar store and it is much easier to take the pot out and grab that wire caddy it came with and for a top I use a 9 inch glass pyrex pie plate works good for me and I can pick it up with my little gloves. Hope you like my tips
Thank you. Serving family tonight with it. Cannot wait. Lovely video.
Great explanation of the process :) I do love my spaghetti saucy
I love, love, love the suggestion of using beef stock or broth instead of water! That's genius! I fixed mine exactly as in video and mine was great. If too soupy for some people then add less water or broth. DUH! It's ain't rocket science, people. The sauce thickens as it sets up anyway. Great video and thanks for sharing!
Thank You 😃 for the little info bit on the sauceyness , I have a brand new in the box 8 quart I'm collecting recipes this one looks delicious !!!
Tomato soup???!!! Genius!!!! Thanks for sharing! I have to say, I really enjoyed this video. You're easy to listen to! A nice mix of informative and funny. :) thank you!
Thank you very much. I like the idea of the tomato soup addition.
I love how REAL you are! Thank you!!!
New to the instant pot. Got one for mom and dad as a 2022 Christmas gift, found a great deal and gifted one to myself and family as well. Really no problem finding recipes. Some are too exotic. Often times they lack the #1 ingredient... Common sense ! Found it here, thank you !
Hi Beth
Thank you for your video. I really enjoyed your sweet and calm manner while cooking. Good job!
Ditto! Thanks!
I'm going to try this. Lately I have been staring at my 100$ macaroni and cheese maker I think it is time to try a new recipe. Thanks again
You were detailed, and it was fun - thanks! :-)
Looks fantastic. I'm making pasta and meatballs tonight😍
Hi The Wolf. Nice instructions. I wish I knew about cooking pasta directly in any pressure cooker eons ago in grad school, when I had a broken leg, 3,000 miles from home, in the middle of a Maine winter. I would have made a lot of it. Lorna Sass, well known for her PC cookbooks (although she did not like the electric ones) always recommend adding a splash of fat to things like beans (oil), rice (butter or whatever); and I would expect the same goes for pasta, expressly to limit foaming. I always have added some fat to recipes in both my stove top and electric PC's, especially all my dried bean recipes and I've never had any of the well-known foaming issues you mentioned.
Thanks for sharing!
that looks soooo good thank you cooking this tomorrow lol
I thought you did a great job. You have a wonderful way of presenting. For my taste, the pasta was a little too watery. But, I'm sure a lot of others that will like it that way. I'm making pasta and frozen meatballs tonight; I've never done that before... however, I'm cooking the pasta separately in my 3 quart IP. Keep up the good work. Everyone isn't meant to do videos... but you are.
Thanks for the tip to flavor the water. I actually have my homemade spaghetti sauce in the Instant Pot on “Slow Cook” for the moment. When my lunch company arrives, I’m going to hit “cancel” and add the pasta with NOW - thanks to you - flavored water ! I have Better Than Bouillon “Chili” flavor which I think I’ll use. Thanks again for the great idea !
Such of a great video nice and slow easy to follow
Nice explanation!
Thank you ❤️😊
I smashed the like button as soon as the stock hit the jar.
A DJ showing how to make spaghetti. Brilliant!
Nice video...I enjoyed it..
Looks good but I wouldn't want my spagatti so liquidity.
at 2.56 ty so much for rinsing out the sauce jar!! I would had to track you down if you wasted that sauce lol j/k
Vraiment c'est fantastique
I got my son a insta pot for xmas looking for easy things he can cook . handle ...lol. I rinse my jar too or can wen using liquid .
What size jar of sauce? Why are water? Won't the sauce cook the spaghetti? I like a thicker sauce, not soupy.
Thank you. K. S. Diehl 🙋 🐈 💙
Bracelet much???😂😂😂 sorry reminded me of ...me!!😂❤ thank you for the recipe worked great!! ❤🎉😊
I am going to cook a lot of spaghetti so I will separate spaghetti and others. By that I mean I will do spaghetti and water in the pot only first. How many minutes of high pressure do you recommend for only spaghetti and water? thanks (in the package it says min cook time 11 min)
Yum tx from Minnesota patty bell
Half the beef stock and you should be fine. I made this, this weekend using 2 cups water and 1 can of diced tomatoes with garlic, oregano, basil seasoning. 6 minutes but I think 7 minutes would have been better.
U made it look so simple
What size instant pot are you using?
I probably need two cookers because I like a small amount of thick sauce. The spaghetti would be in one and the sauce the other. Everyone gets to eat their desired spaghetti and sauce combination.
For those who grew up before the iphone and social media like I did, as kids we liked to play pick-up sticks! I thought of that as soon as you laid the pasta in the pot. I will be trying this meal in my IP.
Best frozen meatballs? Cooked Perfect ANGUS. You'll never look back.
if you use raw meat, how much time do you add?
How much pasta? 16 oz?
Did you press pressure cook or meat/stew? I don't have a manual button on mine.
"Pressure cook " button is a manual button, press on it and whatever is there you can adjust to desirable amount of minutes by simply pressing - or +
I don't have a manual button our mine either, so I used the pressure (high), and half of whatever time it states on the box, for how long to cook. Turned out great, except, as noted above, the "build to pressure" for me took 27 minutes. Judge your prep time accordingly.
Please Tell me where u set
Manual+ hi+ 5 minutes
But do you select presure you do not mentioned
If I wanted to add mushrooms, would I put them over the meatballs?
This was the best spaghetti I've ever eaten 😋😋😋 so damn good there is nothing left . Thank you so much please make more of your awesome videos
No. It's okay to put the meatballs first if you want your spaghetti watery. But if not, put the pasta first, broth, meatballs and then sauce. I found that to be better.
I've had my Instant Pot(s) for awhile but still haven't made spaghetti. The sauce always looks too liquid and it seems like the spaghetti will be just too starchy. I do have to give you a thumbs up though....I don't think I've seen any other IP recipe videos with the IP on a desk top.
I'm truly amazed about people using stuff from cans, bags and boxes in the instant pot. I bought it because it preserves the taste of "real" fresh ingredients far more than by regular cooking. I can understand using the pasta as a refined ingredient. But why not use real fresh meat, tomatoes, garlic, parsley, etc.? It's only a little bit more effort, but eliminates all those empty cans, bags and other waste. Not to mention the huge taste difference, exactly what pressure cooking is ment for. This refined food obsession must be an American thing; please inform me otherwise.
You never said what was in that can you poured in. I'm assuming it was a can of tomato sauce or is it tomato soup? There's a difference in those two ingredients, so please tell me which one it is before I try the recipe. It looks good, but I don't want to mess it up.
She did say. It was tomato basil soup, her "secret ingredient". You might need to rewatch the video.
Very well done video, except you didn't try it at the end :(
Tried this, but you failed to mention it can take upwards of 30 minutes (more or less), for the pressure to rise. I know that is based on what you're using, and I only used half of a bag. Also, based on that comment, you don't really specify how much of the bag of meatballs to use. Otherwise, it turned out great! Also, using an entire box for our family of 3 was wasteful. I threw out about a third of it after one week. I'll cut down a bit on both the broth and pasta enough for 4 people, that way we'll have a little left over instead of a lot.
For my taste its too watery. To much liquid
jser82 Yes. 2 cups would have been more than enough liquid to keep from getting a burn notice. Four cups...way too much liquid. Unless, of course, you like your sauce looser, then that’s fine. Just saying how I like it. Still a good recipe, 👍🏼
HELLO BETH..... YEAH,....KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOIN....!!! I MAKE A BIG POT TONIGHT,...QUICK,...EASY,...ONE POT,....6 BOWLS DONE,....EVERYONE ADDS THEIR OWN HOT SAUCE OR CRUSHED PEPPERS TO TASTE,...SHREDDED CHEESE,...CRUSTY BREAD,....CAN'T GO WRONG......!!!
I wanted to see the end result....I hate when they don't show us the outcome on a plate!!!!
this looks like a tomato based soup with noodles and meatballs in it
Sauce goes LAST.
Why don’t you plate it.
Spaghetti soup???
What is that? Spaghetti soup?
Looks good to me.
After all that you get literally one second of what it looks like cooked. Jesus Christ.
NO,....DON'T THINK JESUS HAD SPAGHETTI BACK THEN,...JUST FISH,....AND BREAD,..
Thanks. But it's soupy.
Whyyyy are you pouring tomato sauce and soup and releasing the splattery steam so close to a giant stack of books? 😬
Well ... recipe needs adjustment, because what is supposed to be sauce is soup. I can only imagine how much this soupy sauce would spray around while eating....
I thought i was the only person on earth that pours water or stock into sauce jar to rinse out all the goodness!! Most dont it seems. Wastefull!!
@@pinkbutterfly6878 yep. I do that too!
You pay for it so rinse and pour into cooking. Mosy recipes need water added...so..Rather than down sink or into recycling or landfill
The sauce was way to watery
To much water
At the 2:25 reading, you add a can and then say it is your secret weapon...still a secret to me! Why didn't you give out your secret weapon ...can't make it until you do so!
It was tomato and basil soup. She showed it at the beginning of the video.
I really do not like it look like spaguetti ball soul, no to much like rey with leas liquid noooo
Yuck
Too much liquid. Less broth. Much less.
Way too much liquid.
way too liquidy
Too much liquid with this recipe. Looks more like spaghetti soup.
Please take that jewelry off before you cook.
You profess to not be an Instant Pot expert; and you're also NOT Italian🙄
What you made was some kinda S--O-U-P ! It certainly had no resemblance to S-P-A-G-H-E-T-T-I .... other than it had pasta, meatballs, and some tomato products in it.
4-cups of liquid!😵 Unbelievable!
If they tried to serve this to me at an Olive Garden or in a first class Italian Ristorante.... I'd personally carry the dish to the kitchen and pour it on the cook......
Awful. Just Awful!
Stefano
i don't think you would personally carry the dish to the kitchen and pour it on the cook cause you would get your ass kicked and if you think Olive Garden is good spaghetti than you really need to get a clue
@@warrencampbell6454 You don't know me, Warren, so it is easy to see that you don't know what you are talking about. Not only would I, but I have done so, and on more than one occasion .. And yes... Olive Garden's spaghetti is much better because 1) it is made in accordance with a true Italian recipe, and 2) it is not a S-O-U-P-Y concoction masquerading as Italian spaghetti. From your comments, Warren, you obviously don't know the difference.
Perhaps you have a more discriminating palate when it comes to dishes like Haggis
