"grappling" device (gaing wide use in the US by law enforcement) would be much more useful in chases where getting close enough to deploy it would reduce the damage to fleeing vehicles and other vehicles on the road....
Would that be useful on narrow roads as well and would it still be safe for the potential other vehicles around?
If yes, quite useful and effective.

Who is using the Grappler Device in the US?
I only saw some demonstration videos, but never used in a real chase, because it is too dangerous.
Since it graps just one wheel it can get the police unit using it off the track in an uncontrolled manner.
Very dangerous at high speeds - instead the TVI or PIT maneuvre can be used more or less safely by the police unit,
only how the suspects car will react to it - if he isn't going straight or hectically trying to countersteer - can differ and also what happens next, when it's going into the ditch.
The Grappler Device is good in theory, but bad in practice.
And only if ASP or GSP going to use it, I'll change my mind.

I won't disclose which county I come from but you would only spend the night in jail until you are sober, there after you have to wait for a court date for the judge to tell you how long your drivers licence has been suspended for. You will get a fine but even if you don't pay it they will use a collection agency to try and collect the fine. After two years the collection agency has to stop calling if you send a Cease and Desist letter. It's absolutely crazy the things that go here.

@@gtboard No I don't come from Sweden and I never drink and drive. I had lived there in the past but even Lättöl made me nervous. I got stopped by the police and took a Breathalyser and was all clear. It scared the shit out of me.
In the end this guy drove into the police unit... I don't know, but this is more than just a DUI.
He tryed to evade police for 15minutes, that's a felony and not just a routine control where you been tested positive for DUI.
I don't know which country you from, but for sure it isn't the U.S. and neither it is Germany - even tho both our justice systems and penalties are a joke.
Är övertygad om att personen i bilen de gnäller på (ja jag förstår att de är stressade, tur att man inte hör vad de säger 😁) gör allt för att släppa förbi polisbilen inom lagens råmärke samt på säkrast sätt och snabbast möjligt.
On the one hand police car was following too close *at a certain point* and he felt unsafe to brake and give way.
On the other hand he had a long time to think about what he can do to do so... since it was dark and the blue lights were visible for a long stretch.
Imo this driver wasn't paying attention at all and when tryed to _whatever been in his mind,_ he was making it worse and worse.

Det går jättebra att tydligt ge tecken, köra in till kanten och stanna om polisen behöver komma förbi. Mycket lättare att köra förbi en stillastående bil än en som kör mot en avsmalnande väg

@@iamjesper Det är ju ett visst mått mellan mitträcket & filen. Hela min Volvo fick plats mellan en bil som var mitt i filen & mitträcket när det tog tvärstopp en gång (jag låg för nära). Så utrymme finns.

In Sweden do the crimes they commit stay on their record for life?
Ten years if not worse like murder then its longer I beleive.
It depends, if your not convicted of any new crimes within x number of years, your record is expunged. However, if you keep commiting crimes, it will stay on.

Since I always lean my head to the left or right when the dashcam car is cornering,
I almost fell out of my chair at the beginning of the video when he had some problems with the camera.
But otherwise the focus was great most of the time, even bumps in the road were only noticed by the up and down of the hood.
Unfortunately, you couldn't see the arrest at the end or the box in maneuver, which is a shame,
but I'm actually only watching because it's totally relaxing to watch others driving.
The faster the better and with a bit of action, drinking coffee, just wonderful!

Completely understandable. I think it requires a couple of bucketloads of patience and restraints to be calm after chasing someone for this amount of time. I think these kind of people deserve a much harsher punishment then they got.

Av alla polisjakter från Sverige jag sett på youtube så slår det mig att poliserna över lag har ett väldigt oproffisionellt snack.
Jag upplever att dem ljuger om hastighet och trafik intensitet. Inte så farligy i den här videon men machokulturen är definitivt ett problem hos poliskåren
Poliserna vill ju perdedinition ta fast prottslingarna så det är på ett sätt förståeligt.
Vart får du att de ljuger ifrån? Ser du hastighetsmätaren?
Det blir lätt adrenalinpåslag i sånna här fall, de är bara människor.
