I say that say with reverance to Edelman, who was the master of using precise timing, short area quickness & an array of slick moves to ALWAYS be open, even when eveyone knew he was getting the ball. One of the best third down targets in NFL history. Now we see what adding downfield ability to that gets you: 2000 yards and 22 TDs lol

Kupp’s worst game this year was 5 catches 64 yards 0 TD.. Devonta Adams had that stat line or worse 5 times this year. Kupp only had 2 games all year under 90 yards and he scored a TD in one of them.
Hopkins was way more clutch tho he got 3 first downs when they needed it the most in a row. No offense to kupp but hop deserves more respect for giving them a chance and kupp was forced the ball multiple times in the end with a very questionable holding call and everyone saw the whole offensive line basically jump so it shouldn’t even happened. It should of been 4th down.

If you want to be the best, you gotta show up in the regular season AND postseason, and Kupp did just that with a "lesser" QB in Stafford compared to Rodgers

I love listening to Dan breakdown how a player runs or Acts or how a game goes or how a play goes. You can hear the knowledge that he has from his past as a quarterback. It's different nuances that commentators like this can pay attention to that commentators who have never played the game don't have that wealth of knowledge to come from.

Always funny to me when analyst have such a hard time admitting that guys like Kupp are physically talented. It's always, he's so smart, he has such good feet, he runs such nice routes. If you were to say "RECEIVER" and only focus on just that, then you have an argument with Devonte. However, Kupp is a Unicorn that can perform on Devonte's level, but provide absolutely more. He is beyond clutch and the fact he can perform at a high level beyond the Receiver position is what makes him the "IT" factor. The Rams have two of these Unicorns on their team with Donald on the other side. That last Superbowl drive by Kupp sealed the argument for me. Devonte had his chance and you can place blame on Aaron for that, but they can discuss that during the off-season. Why did I have the MVP QB and we simply couldn't get past the 49ers at home? Yeah, MVP QB and best label receiver in the game? Marinate on that one for just a bit. . .

I do not think Adams is that insane of a deep threat like other receivers. People also over playing how open he gets because Stafford makes some insane throwns.
Kupp is so much better than anyone else on his team. He is so much faster and better moves. He catches a ball and jukes people like Barry Sanders. He is just a ball of energy when he gets the ball, run after the catch is off the charts. He just looks a level higher than anyone else. Odell beckham looks slow compared to him and he is considered fast. 1900+ yards, run after the catch, always open and MVP. Not much to argue about he is the best and hardest working wideout in the NFL just a level higher.

Maybe there was some question about who the top WR in the league is. But once Kupp won the triple crown and the Super Bowl, it's was a wrap. In my opinion any player that leads the league in every statistical category at their position is the best football player in the league.
Always funny to me when analyst have such a hard time admitting that guys like Kupp are physically talented. It's always, he's so smart, he has such good feet, he runs such nice routes. I've seen Kupp run past defenders left and right and most of the time he looks more physically talented than those around him.

All we have to say out loud is that Cooper Kupp had Jerry Rice's CAREER Accomplishments in a SINGLE SEASON.... that is bananas. Receiver Triple Crown, Offensive Player of the Year, AND Super Bowl MVP in a single season. Rice was the only receiver to accomplish all that in a career and this man did it in one year. He's the best in the league right now.

Tide is changing for the receiver position . Back to guys who are great route runners and great hands. The NFL knows now that a guy could have 4.4 speed but 10.00 flat hands does no good for the team if you cant catch in the clutch.

You mean when he gets a linebacker and a safety on him while yes in the beginning of the season you are correct however later in the season he was double close to if not the most in the league and had a lot of good slot cornerbacks or cornerbacks in general go up against him the you have the super bowl where he was double and triple teamed every play and still the defense couldn’t do anything

If you were to say "RECEIVER" and only focus on just that, then you have an argument with Devonte. However, Kupp is a Unicorn that can perform on Devonte's level, but provide absolutely more. He is beyond clutch and the fact he can perform at a high level beyond the Receiver position is what makes him the "IT" factor. The Rams have two of these Unicorns on their team with Donald on the other side. That last Superbowl drive by Kupp sealed the argument for me. Devonte had his chance and you can place blame on Aaron for that, but they can discuss that during the off-season. Why did I have the MVP QB and we simply couldn't get past the 49ers at home? Yeah, MVP QB and best label receiver in the game? Marinate on that one for just a bit. . .

Kupp is so much better than anyone else on his team. He is so much faster and better moves. He catches a ball and jukes people like Barry Sanders. He is just a ball of energy when he gets the ball, run after the catch is off the charts. He just looks a level higher than anyone else. Odell beckham looks slow compared to him and he is considered fast. 1900+ yards, run after the catch, always open and MVP. Not much to argue about he is the best and hardest working wideout in the NFL just a level higher.
After OBJ went down everybody else had butterfingers or was nervous or something. No one else was reliable. Everyone knew Kupp was getting the ball and he still produced especially in the 4th quarter. Best receiving year ever.
