    If Royal Enfield were to put the 650 motor into a Himalayan type chassis, you would end up with a much heavier bike than the Himalayan 450 for only a 7HP advantage over the Himalayan 450 - sure, if you want to only ride roads a Himalayan 650 may appeal, but once off road you only have to drop a Himalayan 650 once to make your wish you had given up the 7HP for the lower weight, although your chiropractor will always encourage you to go for a Himalayan 650...

    • @Twenty3Rides
      @Twenty3Rides  Před 9 měsíci

      Thats so true.. Glad they didnt go ahead with what everyone was expecting, a Himlayan 650. Coz a lighter touring bike is always much better.

    Thank you for the review, the only advantage here in Oz is that the Himalayan won't be available till late January-February 24. so hopefully the issue of not knowing the reliability would have been sorted out by the northern hemisphere.

      @@sakalasiva Tubeless spoke wheels .. Are stronger than alloys wheels, Donot get bent from string offroading impacts, worst case is a spoke may become loose which can be easily tightened.
      Alloys on the other hand can bend or break easily after a string impact in offroading.. And the air will leak and ride ends.
      All this scenario is applicable for riders who do proper and frequent off roading

    I am also an owner of Himalayan BS4 it is vibe free till 100-105...Many people who complain about vibrations is because they don't use good engine oil, if u stick to RE's shitty liquid gun oil...It will never be vibration free...Post 110 yes you start feeling vibration thats for sure...And yes the engine struggle to speed up from 110 onwards... I would say YES. The bike has an "econo" mode that somewhat deadens the throttle to be less responsive. That would be a wonderful feature for a new rider. I say this because as new riders gain experience, confidence comes along with it. Most of the time the new rider is "ready" for more power after they have ridden the bike for some time. It is a win win situation because you don't have to buy a bigger bike with more power. You can just take it out of the econo mode.
      Cheers an Happy Motorcycling!

    There are 93.2082 miles per hour in 150 kilometers per hour. To convert KMH to MPH you need to divide KMH value by 1.6093. In our case to convert 150 KMH to MPH you need to: 150 / 1.6093 = 93.2082 mph As you can see the result will be 93.2082 MPH.

    I saw a bunch of videos about the new Himalayan, but no one said about the size. Guys, is it a small motorcycle or not? I'm not talking here about engine size, but frame size. Any good for tall riders, or is it one more model like the KTM 390 Adventure which is clearly made for the Asian market?

    • @Twenty3Rides
      @Twenty3Rides  Před 9 měsíci +1

      This should be just perfect for 6feet frame.. I am 180cm and i feel near perfect.. Better than the adv 390 which has a screwed up riding geometry with rear set footpegs..

    KTM is not the kind of bike on which we need an exhaust to be entertained. Leaving that aside, new Himalayan will be an excellent rival for the KTM 390 and BMW gs310 Advs. it will be eating into KTM sales for sure and exhaust sound will not be the reason for that. Good job RE.

    Would this be a better option than the ktm 390 offroad n on road?

    • @Twenty3Rides
      @Twenty3Rides  Před 9 měsíci +2

      On Road - No.. 390 is faster on road. Overall it might be better than 390 adv for folks with a touring mindset.. who like to ride and soak in views.. And not be hurried by the urge to change gears and throttle hard.. Mind you Himalayan is not slow but offers a ride experience for folks who have a matured mindset.
