@@gus473 Right on Gus!!! :-) :-) And you know what Gus, I love the retro computers, monitors, and keyboards, I love everything about them. They have class, personality, and style about them. Today's computers are just boring and blah. I once owned a Packard Bell Legend Supreme 1605 computer. I bought it as a bundle package, which means, the computer came bundle with the computer, monitor, mouse, keyboard, printer, speakers, and microphone. Yup, it all came in one big box, cables included. I bought this back in 1996. I bought it over a Sears. I really like that computer, and let me tell you, it was jam up dude. It acted up a couple of times and I sent it back to Packard Bell and they fixed it at no charge to me, they paid for it all. I didn't know to much about computers then. One time, after the warranty had expired, it acted up, and I didn't know how about going about fixing it, so I threw it away. But you know what, if I knew then what I know now, man, I would have kept that computer. Oh well. Gus, your comment triggered a memory, oh my, I have written this long comment here ... LOL ... :-) Anyways, have a great and safe weekend dude. Laters! -Melvin - Friday, January 28, 2022 - 11:13 AM Mountain Time - Eastern Colorado Springs, Colorado

Thanks for the tips! My power plan has only "Balanced", nothing else and no apparent way to find the other options (which I do see on my other PC and other laptop). I'm running 11 Home with AMD Ryzen 7 7730U with Radeon Graphics, 2000 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s), 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD on a new system. I have Shutup10 running, but I don't think that has anything to do with it, or the "Recommended" settings would probably not show either. I am not very familiar with the program and merely duplicated (not completely) what I saw in another video and these settings were not discussed.
If the laptop were any faster, I probably would not notice it, as it is mostly for pleasure and I don't play games on it. Being less than a week old, it's pretty fast as it is. The only thing I use for business is a spreadsheet with no graphics. CZcams is the only streaming I do with it; I have a TV for what a TV is for. Still, I would change the setting to High Performance if that option was there.
    Thanks for the video!

Download a program called DDU (display driver uninstaller) to completely remove the driver from your system and go through its steps. Once the driver is removed, install the driver you downloaded earlier and see if that helps.

Windows 11 looks a hell of a lot like the upgrade model from Windows XP to Windows 7 , what I mean by Windows 11 looks a hell of a lot like the Windows Vista approach. All the changes are rather visual and really annoying because the most used features are either hidden or not clear how to get to them. And if you think about it all these new features are in Windows 10 - I personally didn't see anything new ( except the fact that they want it to visually look like MacOS and maybe the integration with Android/Linux)

Sigh, or you could keep Windows 10 because of the screwed up Windows menu. I agree on binning widgets though. The task bar doesn't need that mess of icons, they, of course, should be on the Windows Menu.

1st thing to, go to recovery and go back to Windows 10. Failing that, install a Linux Distro !
