Al Murry is a smart guy, he has a degree in modern history from Oxford University. This is his stage act "the pub landlord" where he plays a loud-mouthed, opinionated landlord.

I really wish someone had shouted, "Ireland!" just to see his reaction. He did a series a few years ago called Why Does Everyone Hate The English and he visited several countries, Ireland included. Al is a great guy.

A great reaction choice! Al Murray, as others have mentioned, is a British comedian playing a character here called The Pub Landlord. A typical character you might meet running a British pub. He has done comedy tours as this character and had a TV comedy series too.
Some of his other great clips include "All jobs are terrible", "Al Murray vs Americans", and "Why is it called Great Britain".
What you might not notice from short clips is that he talks to his audience, learns their names, gets to know them, and brings this detail into the comedy later.
