Reversal considers the Masuda Egg Hatch Breeding Shiny Hunting Method in Pokémon Sword & Shield the most boring way of Shiny Hunting ever created. Because of the amount of menuing, going through boxes and sorting out storage and just biking despite being the easiest way of way of getting a Shiny in Pokémon it just doesn't feel like fun. However, Reversal made 1 condition to hunt for Masuda and that was to cheer 500,000 bits and that is what happened!

Took me 30 hours to Masuda a Galarian Zigzagoon (blessed with 6 IV). Found a random one next day while hunting for another Pkmn lmao

Typically, I find it boring to watch people do Masuda Method but watching someone who hates doing Masuda is pleasing. My very first shiny was a Mudkip I hatched in X in 2014, he came in egg number 63 so yeah, I started on Masuda Method but then I branched out from there, I was lucky that when I decided to dip my toes into shiny hunting, it was gen 6 where there's many different methods to do, I had a lot of fun trying them all & I got at least 1 shiny from every method except radar chaining, it's a lot harder to keep a chain in gen 6 than it is in gen 4 & I suck at keeping my chain even in gen 4. I hardly did much Masuda in 6th gen but then during 7th, I learned how to breed competitive Pokemon so I got hooked onto breeding competitive shinies which honestly carried over into 8th gen but I like trying different things to get shinies. Your Feebas hunt for example is unique, fun, & something I'm not touching with a 10 foot pole because when SwSh were new, I decided to Masuda a shiny Feebas because I had a very particular build I wanted to do with Milotic & it took me 3 hours to fish up a regular Feebas to breed. I might do the over world Feebas in Crown Tundra because I was using storm drain to bring in Kabuto to catch a wild one for my friend who has Sword & I noticed it caused Feebas to spawn a little more frequently so I'm a dirty cheater who will use tricks to get a wild caught shiny Feebas. You're going for the real deal & that, I applaud. Congrats on the Mudkip, here's hoping you won't have to endure this torture again anytime soon.

I don't like Masuda that much but I do it a lot. It's much quicker then Murder Method/Random Encounters.
I find it much better for breeding 6iv H.A. competitive shiny Pokémon. It is much more exhilarating and stimulating to find a shiny in the wild but if I want a shiny and don’t care how I get a shiny I do Masuda method but if I want a shiny I really like and it spawns decently in the wild I always do it there

Honestly Masuda hunts are not as fun anymore
If I want a shiny really bad I do Masuda because it’s quicker but wild encounters are much more fun but I battle competitively so Masuda is the way to go for competitive ready shinies imo
