- www.danscourses.com/CCNA-3/eth... - In this video, I demonstrate configuring EtherChannel on Cisco 2960 switches. In part 2, I configure PAgP, and EtherChannel manual mode. I also discuss Spanning Tree Protocol STP and how it works with EtherChannel. The demonstration is done in Packet Tracer 6.2. The demonstration is Part 2 of 2 and is meant to be a general introduction to EtherChannel for the Cisco CCNA.
This is video is better than anybook on this topic.
New Network Admin here. We have no ether channels set up and I'm looking to add redundancy to our 100+ switches. Also this will help address bottle necks. This is helpful Thanks
Thank you! You take the time to explain why you're doing certain things and have good pacing throughout the video, helped me a lot.
Simple, clear and right on point. Just awesome, thanks!
Dan.. you are the best teacher on CZcams.. Thanks for another well put together video!!!
Definitely best teacher I've found in networking. I just played a video from my Cisco ebook regarding QoS, and went, 'i know that voice, it's Dan', so Cisco uses videos made by him, or he works for Cisco, I don't know, but I'm glad the Cisco content has stuff by Dan,, great teacher, great pacing, fine voice and inflection (i.e.not annoying to listen to, like some others)
Thank you, your video make me know Etherchannel better, am finish my home work because of your video. Thank you
Love your courses, doing CCNA 3 and it helps me tremendously with my packet tracers!
Great video! Really clarified the concept for me. Currently taking a CCNA prep class
Very well done! I'm doing my CCNA training atm, looking to test out maybe next week and I stumbled on this video. I like the idea of bunching these up in one how-to since they are all super close relatives of each other. But I didn't see you set up the native vlan. I liked this lab so much I duplicated the idea and added a router on a stick to one of the switches so the vlans could communicate with each other. I love Networking!
For those trying to configure the etherchannel and getting a loop, try making all trunk ports in "switchport mode trunk" and not rely on DTP. (I think this is a Packet Tracer issue). I had the case were the packets are looping and I tried it and it works.
Dan thanks a lot great vid !!! You gave light in this topic!
Super excellent guide. Thank you!
You're the Man Dan!!! :-) :-) :-)
wonderful explanation Dan.
keep videos coming. keep the good work
Good, channel recomended 😎😎
Best of the best tutorials
i really apprecited this video
Very good video Dan, keep going (y)
Thanks for the video. Thats so good
Very good video!
Thank you so much!
your video is perfect
Thanks so much for continuing to make this great videos! I am a very busy wearer of all hats in my job as network, server, end user support, etc... admin at work. I now realize I have some of my port channels setup wrong with both ends active. They still have been working though. Guess I should change them?
Nice lab! When I did this lab, the Gi0/1 was in BLK mode. The other thing I saw when I ran show span on all three Switches, all 3 stated that they were the root switch for VLAN01. Why is that??
really helpful for my campus exam
great work brooo o like it
Packet Tracer 7.1.1 seems to be buggy with this.
I had to close & re-open Packet Tracer to get the PAgP port channel to come up, at which point the LACP port channel stopped working.
It does all work in GNS3 using Cisco IOSvL2.
very nice tutorial..I am having problem, I can't ping the other computer. when I type the command, show etherchannel sum, it shows the 2 used port as both letter I instead of I and P
Thank you.
When I input "show spanning-tree" on S3 finally, it showed as follows,
Interface Role Sts Cost Prio.Nbr Type
---------------- ---- --- --------- -------- --------------------------------
Po3 Desg FWD 7 128.28 Shr
Po2 Desg FWD 7 128.27 Shr
No one was in the BLK state, and the role it showed is different from that in your example. what is the problem?
Thank you.
i noticed with the latest version of packet tracer that when doing the manual etherchannel config between S1 and S3 when i use the range 17-20 on S1, Port 20 never takes the config that its a trunk like the other ports do...
Thank u 👍
Hi I am trying to do a very Basic Etherchannel network. Between 2 Switches with LCP Protocol. I have done configuration exactly the same as you but, the PCs do not ping. I am running Packet Tracer 6.2 on Linux. Can you please help?
Your videos are well explained. thank you
Got a question though, how come at 11:06 Po2 and Po3 are Shr type? Doesn't that indicate a duplex mismatch? Or is it a packet tracer bug?
Thanxs again
Yes I think it is a packet tracer bug because it would not be a half duplex connection
Thought so, thanxs for confirming!
So there is no need to turn off the interfaces before the configuration?
Hello Dans. STP is not working for me in this case, I do not know why?
I don't get why the PO3 lights are all green just because Vlans are on it, even though stp has blocking on at PO3 switch 3.
Sir,LACP doesnt work.the eth-channel ports at SW2 are on orange mode.why?
+Onurhan Yalçın just follow dans's command sir, the trunking mode, the trunk allowing on the port-channel interface must be configured, and then the sw2 you must configure with passive mode on the selected interfaces.
Hi there, how's it going Dans. I saw that don't have available Packet Tracer 6.2 to Linux, right ? danscourses
Channel - ROBERSON OLIVEIRA There is a version of PT 6.2 for Linux also you could easily do this in PT 6.1 also. Maybe I should duplicate the start file for PT 6.1
danscourses I have installed PT 6.0 in my laptop with S.O linux.
Please can u configure RSTP and PVSTP ?
i have done same configuration but not ping any pc what i do now ?
good
In addition to the configuration
the pc's in vlan 20 could not ping eachother i followed everything
give an ip address for interface vlan for each on switch
hi, I have problem, when I compele config,
I disconnect port g0/1 and g0/2 between S1 and S2
I don't ping
