Sir, i am planning to buy Creta facelift 2024, my priorities are mileage and torque, as such, i love diesel cars but i have apprehension regarding DPF issues, my monthly running is also very less.. is it wise decision to buy diesel creta as petrol is said to underpowered?

@Anthony sir for a car like Creta the petrol feels underpowered just because it doesn't have the torque like diesel. The difference in torque is around 106 NM whereas the power is the same.
Having DPF in the car will definitely increase the overall maintenance cost of the vehicle but they are built to last and usually last 1.5 lakh kms.
Also, mileage and torque are properties of diesel engines.
Or you can buy the turbo charged engine but that will come at the cost of mileage.
If you are not living in a city where the 10 year rule applies don't buy petrol. For me petrol SUVs are nothing. And people are buying petrol SUVs just because of this 10 year rule.

@@autoinfotech Thanks Sir.. I am living in rural hilly areas where torque is necessary.. But hyundai dealers advised me to buy petrol even after I told them about my needs for torque an mileage.. I don't know why they always advised the customers to go for petrol

Their reason could be many...
Like margins on petrol, sale promotion of petrol because I talked to the owner just now and he said he has not faced any DPF issues in 45000 kms...

I think petrol also gives between 12 to 14 in city. So do you think I should go for petrol or diesel. My monthly use is around 800 to 1000 kms

I don't think you need a diesel.
