    It might sound silly to some but I am not entirely sure about this. How does google gather/estimate conversions? Do we need to set conversions in our Google Ads account or Google learns by itself which users are most likely to convert? Right now we are using the Manual CPC for several months and we would like to become more automated on conversions. Thank you for the great content!

    What would you say is the best way to decide the initial bid per keyword? The default starts at 0.01, and it can take ages for ads to start showing if you are increasing it daily. But then I wouldn't want to set the default to something like 2.50 from the off as you may end up bidding well over what is required.

    • @PaidMediaPros
      @PaidMediaPros  Před rokem

      In many cases we default to the first page bid minimum. If we’re not seeing decent impressions then we slowly increase bids. It’s going to be different for every account depending on competition and search volume.

    Most of our conversions are from website chat and there’s no way to track these conversions … so this gave me a very high cost per conversion as it only record web form submission and phone clicks so what to do in this case and also for legal niche what is the best bidding strategy you recommend?

    • @PaidMediaPros
      @PaidMediaPros  Před rokem

      Hello, that's a frustrating situation. Have you looked into creating Google Analytics events for when people engage with the chat? Many platforms will allow a GA integration that you can then create a goal for then import into your Google Ads account. If not, then you're likely best off using some form of manual or enhanced CPC so you can control how competitive you are for certain terms. You'll still have to rely on intuition to know which keywords are driving chat leads, but this will help you make sure Google isn't lowering your bid on converting terms. Hope that helps!

  • @jefffairchild1854

    So then after i have a bunch of conversions, would you say ROAS is best overall for the average user?

    • @davidmathews9628
      @davidmathews9628 Před rokem

      That actually depends! If you have a revenue value assigned to each conversion then using maximize conversion value you can optimise towards a certain ROAS percentage, however if you have only conversions with no revenue value assigned to each conversion, I would recommend using maximise conversions & optimising towards a target CPA, I hope this answers your question!

    "30 conversions in the last 30 days, if not 50" regarding using a TCPA strategy. Is this still the recommended barrier to entry or has the algo developed enough to use even less data to find real value using TCPA? asking again

    • @PaidMediaPros
      @PaidMediaPros  Před rokem +1

      Hi there, that's still my personal rule of thumb. Google claims their algorithm is advanced enough that you don't need any conversion history at all for it to work well, but in my experience, the more data you have, the better off you'll be. So technically, theres no standard that needs to be met, but I don't personally use that approach in my accounts. Hope that helps!

      Hi Ali, to my knowledge, ECPC can raise bids as far as 100% or 2x your original bid, including any bid modifiers you have in place. I'm having trouble digging that up in support articles to confirm, but that's the last level I remember. Hope that helps!

    What if my CPC/bid for that keyword is $10 and i set a daily budget of $10.. does that mean after 1 click the ad will not be visible during that day anymore?

    • @PaidMediaPros
      @PaidMediaPros  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Conrad, it could mean that, but there are a number of factors at play. First, depending on your bid strategy (manual, enhanced, etc) you may not pay the full $10 or you could pay slightly over it. Additionally, Google allows itself to spend up to 2x your daily budget on any given day. So more often than not your ad will stop showing after 1-3 clicks, but that won't always be the case. Hope that helps!

      Hi,
      That is a brilliant question!
      Google ads has made an update in which you can only select that option once you have published your campaign & not while creating the campaign!
      Once you have published your campaign, follow these steps:
      campaign level settings > bidding > Change bid strategy > "select a different bid strategy (not recommended)"
      These steps should help you find what you are looking for!

    • @markbolam1383
      @markbolam1383 Před 2 lety +1

      its quite simple really its when certain search words you dont want your ad to appear. say for example you sell black writing pens only and a customer uses the google search term to look for blue pens. you add blue pens as a negative keyword so your add doesnt show when they type blue pens. it helps to narrow down who sees your ad

    Would maximize clicks be a good strategy if you set a low (ish) maximum cost per click, then retargetted all your landing page visitors?

    • @PaidMediaPros
      @PaidMediaPros  Před rokem

      Hello, that can be a good strategy depending on your long term goal, yes. If you want conversions, the Max Clicks strategy won't focus on that, but if you're simply looking to reengage users, then it could work out well. I would only caution against setting too low of a Max CPC with a small audience. Just make sure you're competitive enough to show up in the auction, otherwise you should be all set! Hope that helps!
