  • Here is what a graduation run looks like for the Air Force, thought I would leave this for all the parents of new Airmen. This was the first thing we saw that was part of the two-day event. The next video is the coin ceremony, so if your Airman made it, you will want to see him or her get their Airman coin.

      Thank you for your service. Our son was force out of the Air Force because of the Jab. My wife and I both joined the Army in 1996.

      It was great, and this was the first day. We don't want other parents to be a clueless as we were going to one of these.

    Don't they have to complete 1.5 miles in less than 12 minutes?

    • @ChrisDoesWhat

      The time varies based on your age and if you are male or female, but you can look this up online. Thanks for watching, are you thinking of joining?

      @@ChrisDoesWhat + Yes. Turning 39 next June. This is my last chance to join the military and I want to take it.

    • @ChrisDoesWhat
      @ChrisDoesWhat  Před 5 lety +3

      We wish you the best, both my wife and I were in the Army, we have one son in the Air Force, and our youngest wants to go into the Navy. At 39 in Air Force basic, you have to run 13.14 for the 1.5 miles, 36 pushups, 42 situps, and your waist has to be 37 inches or less.

      @@ChrisDoesWhat + Awesome! I really appreciate that and I thank you for your families service to our great nation...hopefully I can return the favor with my own term of service. Maybe even go career. It's been long overdue and something that I've always wanted to do.

      @@nocturnalemission6822 Your welcome and hope you can make a career out of it. I got discharged after I could no longer run, guess breaking 22 bones will do that to you. Our family has a long history of serving in the military back to the civil war. Both my parents and my wife's dad were in the Navy during Vietnam, and my grandfather was in the Marines during the Korean War

    I've got a BMT Question. During BMT Graduation Parade, what happens when an Airman's cover comes off? Obviously, you have to ignore it until the parade is dismissed. But, I was just wondering how you get it back. TXS.

    • @ChrisDoesWhat
      @ChrisDoesWhat  Před 6 lety +2

      No a clue, my cover never fell off during anything like this when I was in the Army, I think that when you head is shaved it helps hold it on.

    • @scottlegend9614
      @scottlegend9614 Před 5 lety +3

      if your cover flies off you have to hope that you can find it after you've been dismissed to your family

      Didn't know of a limit, but everyone has to be cleared by the air force to enter the base. We had 8 people in our party that watched.
