- According to reports, the last home John Wayne ever lived in was in The house is in Newport Beach, California, on the edge of the water facing Balboa Island.
He lived there for 14 years until he passed away. Before that, he was living in a large five-acre ranch in Encino.
John Wayne’s net worth was estimated to be around $7 million when he passed away in 1979. Due to inflation, that would be somewhere closer to $25 million in today’s dollars.

Back in the 70's we were going by John Wayne's house in my relative's sailing boat and Wayne was standing in his yard with a few other people. Even though he didn't know us he noticed us going by and waved to us without us waving to him first. I thought that was pretty cool.

I got to see John Wayne once. I stood about 10' away as he walked by after speaking at a rally for President Ford in Santa Ana, CA. Glenn Ford was also there and spoke at the rally. Two great actors.
In Newport Harbor/ Balboa Bay. As a child I remember him sitting outside and waving to us as we motored by. What a wonderful remembrance

Duke never lived in the house shown in this video. This is the San Raphael ranch house used in his movie McLintock and its located not far from me in Lochiel, Arizona which isnt too far from the Arizona US / Sonora Mexico border. I think its a state park now.

We passed John Wayne’s home on the water in Newport Beach several times; it seemed very modest and cozy.
The house in Newport Beach was bought from John Wayne by Dick Dale King of the surf guitar. On a trip to LA I got to see the house as a friend of mine shared the house with Dick Dale for a time.

I Read a story about whenever he did a new movie someone would make a few coffee cups with a picture and the name of John Wayne on the cup's and John Wayne would give them to his Best Friend who he helped out a few times with starting up a few business places that sold John Wayne sattles for horses and cowboy hats and boots i think John Wayne movies will live forever he was the best at what he enjoyed. How are we supposed to believe you are a credible channel when you are showing a house in the desert that has nothing to do with your story? Also the interior pictures are stolen from another story but are true of the interior. , you should know what you are saying is correct before posting it.

Well that was a waste of time. The computer voice was so annoying, I turned the sound off when it started repeating for the THIRD time. And not a single word about the McClintock house, unless it talked about it when the video showed the Newport Beach house.

Well this was a waste of time. Talking about a beach house and showing a house in the desert. Robotic voice was irritating. Was looking to se old footage of him living there not a drone inspection of the roof. I didn’t even get half way through and I suggest others don’t even waste that much time.
