What was it like to be a teenage girl growing up in Britain in between 1950s and 60s? Was life really a whirl of pop music, miniskirts and women's lib? Teenage Kicks tells the stories of eight girls as they navigate growing up in Britain at a time of huge social, economic, and cultural change. Teenage Kicks is based on research from the Girlhood and Later Life project at The University of Manchester. It is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council.
