- Using the Modifier "Again & Again & Again", obtained from the "Hotel Hell" Badge, makes Ambush attack endlessly. In this Video, I try to beat the game with this Modifier equipped. Can i do it?

Using crucifix on ambush throughout any point in the run (with the again and again and again modifier) will cause him to no longer spawn, you can use this to your advantage if you have one in the rift for some extra knobs.
I did mention that in the Video
Ambush actually never despawns in Again & Again & Again, it just waits in a room and if it deloads I guess it just floats there until going through the door when attacking again. Ambush only despawns if you use the crucifix, and Ambush just plays its arrival sound any time it attacks and is just prohibited from attacking during the Seek chase, doesn’t despawn. That’s just something I learned.
I did this and 2 spawned each time instead of 1
If you use the crucifix on Ambush on Again & Again & Again but then an Ambush naturally spawns, (after you use the crucifix on the guaranteed one at door 7) then that Ambush will actually start attacking endlessly too. The modifier changes how any spawned Ambush works, so you either have to get more than one crucifix in a game or get lucky.

Ambush does spawn in door 100, but Rush and Ambush are not meant to be in Door 100. They won’t make it very far in before they fall through the floor. In Rush’s case, all the lights will break and you will be left in darkness with Figure. Ambush won’t even rebound at door 100. I learned this, and beat the Again & Again & Again modifier.

Make sure to save flashlight battery from the greenhouse then I guess, or rely entirely on audio for tracking figure.
Pro tip : Ambush and Rush WILL only go for the door , it won’t circle around in large rooms

Since the Hotel + Update, Ambush can sometimes take random path, but it will still take normal path, so that's why Ambush caught you through the wall.

Funny fact: in door 50, if you hide in the closet to avoid ambush but decide to not come out, ambush actually won't spawn until you get out of the closet (I died to second seek due to lag in that run)

Rush kills with a hitbox that is blocked by objects such as luggage carts and beds.
Ambush is if you see his mouth and are not hiding then you are dead.
Edit: Also with Ambush getting you through the wall- yes rush and ambush mostly go through the halls to get to the next door; they clip through the walls slightly in corners and/or glass windows. Best seen in that one room where you go in through a corner door and crouch under broken glass. (room at 9:42)

An explanation for Ambush getting you “through the wall” is probably because Ambush can see through doors and Ambush kills you with line of sight unlike Rush who kills you with a hitbox.
Edit: Ok my bad they both kill with line of sight, Ambush and Rush can also go through walls so that’s how Ambush got them.
I think he just somehow got into the Room I was in
Rush also kills with line of sight, if you hide behind a wall he won't be able to kill you. the only difference between the two when it comes to killing people is that Ambush's line of sight extends further

i slowed down the video and i saw ambush’s aura come from behind him so he came through the room
You shouldn't have been so careful in going through the 100th room, if you go around the first corner the ambush won't get you

I think how this modifier works is ambush is always loaded and every time he rebounds it plays his arrival sound, also the ambush that occurs in this modifier is different than normal ambush and will always only rebound once, so if normal ambush spawns things can start to break (btw I made this comment before watching the video so some things might be obvious)

Remember, Ambush have extremely large hitbox with ability called wall break, it's very hard to encounter at corner since he can went through the wall.
Additional: Occasionally he went from opposite away (aka RayCast), unlike before Hotel+ which he goes normal path like Rush. Another thing you might forgot that, Ambush hitbox actually get buffed after hotel+ you can clearly see, before hotel+ his hitbox completely useless if you went upstair or downstair, this is why Ambush completely a bit illegal after Hotel+

Aambush has something called RayCasting, and rush does too. It's just that ambush's is larger than rush, and can see through smaller objects.

Ik ambush uses ray casting but I think the point of origin of the light he emits just ever so slightly clipped through the wall and thus killed him

i believe i understand what happened on 8:46, as you can go through doors (they arent solid objects), ambushs raycasting ended up hitting you and he got you
if you had hid a bit well better, like to the side of the bookshelf then i think he wouldnt have gotten you
that was not what happened i think he didnt get him from the door, i think it was a path bug

At 8:49 you died to ambush only cuz on every room the devs program a route for ambush / rush and with that room and that variation ambush clips through the wall into the room were ur hiding to get to the door so I hope this was helpful well done great vid 👍.

I don't like his arrival sound. When i play, when i suspect that ambush is coming, i mute the audio and i look for screenshake. While ambush does his arrival sound, he will shake the screen as if air is passing by at the speed of sound.

Not gonna lie Ambush is my second favourite entity in this game(after Halt) so this looks like a fun challange for me. Sadly i dont have Hotel Hell yet. Hell(hehe) i dont have Not Five Stars still because i struggle with finding the right combination of modifiers for me. But ill definitely try that one out. Nice vid btw.

8:50 rush and ambush don't actually go through hallways, instead they just go through door to door, a straightline path. I guess that path was inbetween that door 😂
Rush actually takes corners unlike ambush. Say like you have a plus shaped room. Rush will go straight until he reaches the middle of the room and then head towards the door. Ambush simply just clips through the wall because that was how he was made to work.
One time i was playing with modifier but without smbush ambush was 3 times in game and plus he spawned on door 6 somehow

Modifier idea:
High risk, higher reward: (no rift, shop (Jeff +pregame), or progression) +250% knobs
All possible enemies that can spawn, will spawn, and as many as possible. (So ambush rush and as many dupes, higher chance for halt)
Seek is now fast enough you cannot stall for an extra second
Figure can always hear you if walking, and great range for crouching
All required items are now needed 2X
All normal rooms are greenhouse (and can have lock)
Sub floor enemies can spawn
(Requires hotel hell)
Pretty good shame not to many views rn
I think the Algorithm just hasn't picked up the Video yet, but it could also be because it's my first Video and noone knows me yet. It will probally get better once i have more Videos

Once, I was playing with zero modifiers, and I got Ambush TWICE. he came at door 5 and then at door 8.
By the way if you use crucifix on ambush with again again again mod he will stop coming till a natural ambush spawns and with that mod ambush will always spawn at door 7

Ambush comes way later in the game (normally) but i got ambush at like door 14 and got my first badge, also my door record is door 78 (i haven't beat the game, also this was multi but i did door 50 basically solo)

Weird, because when i tested it later Ambush stopped spawning after i used the Crucifix on Door 50

But that would cause lags
The modificator would be "InfiniteBound"
When you reach door 10 a ambush will spawn and it will spawn at door 0 and will go to door 100 and back infinitly
That would be impossible since door 100 is only loaded when you open door 99.

Congrats! dude Ambush is my worst nightmare every run when i pass door 52 i just damage and kill myself bc of that entity and imagine beating this when ambush is endlessly spawning if it was me i would have a heart attack im espcially scared of his jumpscare and sound and the hitbox even if he doesnt rebound sometimes in my doors run and one day i died in my luckiest doors runs for my lag like: 1,490 coins before seek chase (1st) Getting jack in a rare closet,Getting tim 2 times in some drawers which r almost impossible for timothy to be found, ALOT of items, ambush spawning after seek chase but not rebounding- 😭 but stopid lag killed me at door 70
I’m sure ambush spawns every ten seconds because I have this modifier,he only comes once then leaves.there’s no point with candles cuz they only work for so short.Ambush comes over once then leaves and repeat,to get modifiers you at least need to beat the game once.if you can’t,try getting some help from people or friends.
Basically this mode isn't that much of a deal its got way less time to react just like a rush but faster
