I think we also need to keep in mind that this is not just an event, that this is also helping real world clean up in our oceans. The things that cost money that are so expensive, pay for that, at least half of it goes into it, the rest of the money that people pay for items, are basically paying for the game to stay free. 180 candles is expensive sure, but you can candle run for that, you don't have to buy candles. At least it's not 20-40$ for the cape and it's actually achievable without having to pay money into the game. Honestly, I would be the first one up there to be like "dang. This is really greedy" for example, I think it's greedy that they're having back to back events, and we are obviously going to have to pay money for certain things that we want, like shoes for the days of color or the cloak for the skyfest. 🤦♀️ However, when it comes to the prices for this event, I can't help but stand up for it, because not only is it helping real world efforts and cleaning our oceans, but a lot of the cool stuff that we are getting is free, and we don't have to pay a thing, we just have to get the tickets and the candles. What we really need to be complaining about is the fact that TGC doesn't have regional pricing. What we really need to be complaining about is how hard it is to achieve a decent amount hearts without having a ton of friends. What we need to talk about is how this game is supposed to be about connection, and yet there are servers that disconnect on a consistent basis; splitting up friends who are even holding hands, in a cradle carry or even piggyback because seriously? Don't complain about the price for a cloak, that you don't even have to get first of all, that isnt even an iap, unless you're going for a different cloak which the proceeds for actually help in cleaning our poluted oceans.
