Now that's what's called being tough! A gun in ur hands, a cigarette in ur mouth and tattoos on ur body doesn't make you tough.... Getting battered by society, carrying heavy burden and responsibilities on ur shoulders and still being able to have a smile on your face, being able to work things out, being able to make ends meet and still having love and care for others..... That's the only true meaning of being tough.... Being strong from the inside.
After I graduated college I came home and took care of my family... then had to deal loosing our home and managed to find another home while going to graduate school. I worked full time and now i'm laid off again... Girl I know how hard you got it.
Good luck to her and in her future endevour. I don't know why this is news worthy though. A lot of people take care of their disabled siblings while in school though and finish well.
