It was a pivotal period of human history. It was the turn of a millennium, perceived as a time when a future loomed where technology had taken control of humanity; right before our eyes, this was becoming more than just science fiction. It was a daunting unknown, how much capability our computers could be given, and how they could be used. It was a time when smartphones and social media as we know them today were in their infancy. We were there to watch these things transform this world into the monster it is today, in the span of just a few short decades. This way of life did not exist back then. We live in a completely different world now...
