    • @xlnaudio

      It's not possible to load your own samples in Addictive Trigger, but you can export midi from Addictive Trigger and use it with other drum software or samplers.

    Is it just me or is there no way to select to detect hi hats?? There is an option for snare, kick and four for Toms but no Hi Hats? I want to replace the hi hats from an overheads mic?

    is it possible to route and link the midi velocity information to other parameters in your DAW?

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Před 5 lety

      We're not sure if all hosts support it, but Logic for example allow you to convert velocity into other MIDI parameters.

      Addictive Trigger is currently only able to detect and trigger snare, kick and toms properly.

    Hello Is it possible to do drum replacement on 1 single stereo drum track?

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Před 2 lety

      Addictive Trigger was mainly designed to be used with multi-track recorded drums (one Addictive Trigger instance for the snare track, one for the bass drum track etc). Using Addictive Trigger on a stereo mix for a whole stereo track with a full drum kit playing could work, but how well depends heavily on the source material. A sparse mix with distinct drum hits would have a better chance of working than a busy mix with not so pronounced drum hits. I suggest that you try it out with the trial version of Addictive Trigger. I am guessing it is tailored toward acoustic drums and pretty much useless on electronic drums used in EDM etc.?

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Před 3 lety +1

      Sorry for the slow reply. Addictive Trigger is mainly intended to replace or beef up acoustic drum recordings, but there could be use cases for it in EDM as well. For instance, I used it when mixing drums that came from an analog drum machine. I wanted to layer the kick and snare drums to get a fatter sound. Instead of creating a midi track and writing notes for each bass drum and snare hit in the whole song, I just let AT detect the hits and play extra kicks and snares on top of the recorded ones. /Tore - XLN Audio Support

    Do i need Addictive drums to use Addictive trigger?

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Před 2 lety

      Hi, Addictive Trigger can be used without owning Addictive Drums 2, however if you own content from AD2 it will be available in AT, and AT comes with it's own content too.

    There are other plugins that do this functionality.... Melodyne for example. Why to use this one?

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Před 6 lety

      Hi Pedro! There are many plugins out there. Melodyne is definitely a really nice one. With our Addictive Trigger you can access the full AD2 library with room mics etc. and trigger your drum kit. I would say definitely say it's a bit different from Melodyne. Let me know if you have any questions.

      @@xlnaudio I have Addictive Drums 2, but not Addictive Trigger. I usually use AD2 from scratch, but have a project now where I want to do drum replacement. However, before I buy Trigger, I wanted to try using the Gate plugin in Studio One (with the Trigger feature enabled), but cannot figure out where in AD2 to get it to recognize MIDI notes coming from the Gate plugin.... any ideas?

      Makes AT basically useless compared to other drum replacement plugins like ApTrigga and Drumagog. I don't really see the point of Addictive Trigger, as using your own samples is the primary use case.

    I loved addictive drums, then 2 came out, didn't like it at all. Thought the drums sounded naff and constant pop ups to buy the latest kit. Don't think I'd be in a rush to buy this, gimmick if you ask me.......logic drums sound so much better. !

      Try using an Alias from the Drummer region to an AD2 Track and change the beats on the fly. It is awesome.
