@@josztroutfishingdiary7350 Maybe you didn't land what you wanted, but you had two good bites whipping that rod with skill and the Lord blessed you with a wonderful day...that's great in my book😉👍🏽🎣

The scenery was beautiful, even though the fishing was slow.

Were you aware the fly line wasn't going through the first guide above the stripping guide?

fished depuys 25 yrs ago, it was ok, I was catching trout with old rusty fly's in their lip, they've seen it all before.
Tiny tiny fly's are the ticket, wait for the sun to bring on the hatch around noon.
I think the fishing is better here in northern Maine but the western experience is worth the trip by itself.

Fished the Northern CT River and the Meduxnekeag! Much fun at both! Thanks for watching!

Northern Maine is better it is just different. Northern Maine may be great in the early spring on the Rapid and the Magalloway for large wild brook trout but what do you do in July and August when the water in those rivers warms and all the big trout run back down into the deep lakes? In Montana, even in low water years the water is still cold.
