Yeah... kinda expected that outcome. Matchup is VERY rough for Chipp, since a lot of Slayer's normal downsides don't really apply. Slayer's buttons also play very well into the "standard" approaches Chipp uses, and his conversions off CH/RC result in that comical health bar loss you normally only get from fighting Goldlewis.

I hate fighting them because I didn't pay $60 to block, but I feel some respect for Millia/Chipp mains. They have to control the match very oppressively to stand a chance against high damage characters (basically everyone) and when they lose an interaction or scramble, they explode with minimal effort.
I respect the grind, still hate em tho.
Yeah, I can respect Walter Millia and Chipp main. While, making fun of Character. Given, how pixie health these Characters and game itself promote high damage outcome and pressure for W( Even that is applicable for most games).

i don’t play chipp but i feel like he should do more damage tbh. playing mixup characters in this game seems really unrewarding when top tiers can just blow you up in a few hits. i feel like most of the mixup characters in this game are mid or low tiers
Not only that but you don’t get burst back in time compared to the high hp characters. It’s possible that u can have two rounds without a burst
He had better damage when he could convert meterless off Rekka counter hits but that's not really a thing anymore.
@@entropy7705 Yeah that's where Chipp started to go downhill imo. Also the WA nerfs means he can't guarantee wallbreaks off of 2k anymore which sucks. Character just does absolutely nothing rn because rekkas are so unthreatening without meter
i dunno, don't people just generally hate on mixup characters regardless of their strength? bridget and elphelt are also hated.
high damage characters are just easier to play and dominate lower levels imo. when everyone is basically mashing, the bigger boi mashes better.
Tbh i just think chars like slayer and Leo need to do less damage, the problem is that some chars damage is too HIGH
