Happy to see this video! You guys are lucky to have each other. I thought you'd get it due to twinsense, I didn't think it would hit you as hard as it did. Then you explained. I think that is really sweet. Unrelated, my nephew's girl just gave birth to twn girls a few weeks ago. We've never had twins in our family so that's super exciting. They gave one of the girls my sister's name (as her middle name). What is special about that is my sister is no longer with us. She died from leukemia, and while she and I weren't twins, I was a perfect exact match to donate bone marrow for her. It didn't save her but it gave her 2 extra years. I know she's looking down and beaming with love on those 2 little babies!
I just cannot wait for the dance video. So excited. I am looking forward to Seven Sins and Wicked Ways but there are so many great options. So happy to have found your channel.
And I’m loving your music. It’s different and interesting. I can tell you’re authentic just by looking at all the great music and videos you’ve made in the past.
♥️♥️🔥🔥
Thanks for the follow up! Love Immortal Technique, another great story teller. I mentioned on the trilogy vid that the Warren G riff was a good catch, and it was a sample taken from Michael McDonald's (former singer for The Doobie Brothers) song I Keep Forgetting (which is smooth asf too), and that the correct word is RIFF, lol, not RIFT.
You guys were/are on point with this breakdown.
Looking forward to seeing you guys do the B Boy thang.
My most listened to song last year was Ren's Power according to Spotify, so looking forward see you react to that.
Lastly, again love that you on Immortal Technique (how could you not, being from NY? Lol) , but I would also LOVE to see Marlon Craft up on your channel. Top Tier, and most everyone be sleeping on him. Hell's Kitchen born & bred. He just dropped a track with Method Man! But I'd request for you to check out his songs Family, Do the Work, Greatful, and Gang Shit. Please, please, please check him out, cause I wanna know your thoughts on him since you all from NYC!
Keep up the great work fellas! 👍
🙏🏽
The thing is brimming with Easter eggs. You can't spot them all. In Jenny's tale, the graffitis tell a bit of the story, too. Jenny late at night on her way home in high heels, having walked the same street a thousand (meaning too many to count) times before, wanting to escape, "rosy on her cheeks", and as we later learn in Violet's tale, is a child prostitute against her will. Living on the streets, much like Screech is. There is another contribute to Ren's fans called "Ren - Screech's Tale Instagram Stories" which is a prequel to Jenny's tale, and that one reinforces the Patrick with Screech's girlfriend insinuation. The ever changing reverb through Violet's tale while he is inside possibly tells a bit of a story, but I may be dreaming that up. Definitely audible and visible is the view and sound up the winding staircase when Ren talks about history repeating and showing us infinity.
Then some fans on their about 100th rewatch of Violet's tale got into diving into Stevie's monologue and being out on a limb they are getting that Stevie suspects Violet's baby (we know twins, he doesn't) not to be of him. And if it wasn't, it would have to be by her father, either of the past, or somewhat more likely, still forcing her. Arguments about not getting a council flat as a minor when the perpetrator had not been jailed before ensued, but at least in my country, convicting a family member is near impossible, so council flats for minors are a thing without the criminal justice system having spent years in the process. That thing may or may not be, wait for your 100th+ listening to Stevie. Also not spoken is that Stevie would have made it to jail, and Violet dead, the twins were separated.
I used to be one of those people you referred to. It was because I was hurting and felt the need to tear down in order to build myself up. Then I discovered Ren and the Renegades and it literally changed me as a person. Now, I’m a regular contributor to the fan page and I try to live by what we like to call #TheRenEffect. I even wrote a poem called “The Ren Effect” because I was so inspired.
The Ren Effect
It’s his bottle of light
That fills empty cups
It’s his melody that touches our souls
It’s the words that hit home
For the scared and alone
That leads them past the fiery coals
It’s a glimmer of hope
A pause in the scope
That allows us a moment to feel
To connect in a sense
Under no false pretense
To the sounds with a vast loved appeal
It’s his journey embarked
That we feel apart
Watching him grow and transform
In front of our eyes
His music revives
And shields us from the eye of the storm
From mainstream to obscure
His message is pure
He sings, and the audience hears
His guitar is his wand
That tightens the bond
To the things that we all hold most dear
And it’s artists like him
That keep us filled to the brim
With joy that they’re sharing their gift
With something to say
In a meaningful way
Through performances that shouldn’t be missed
He implements ideas
That brings crowds to tears
When evoking emotional tones
Or he’s quick with a pun
In lighthearted fun
Using beats that he made on his own
He’s a writer, producer
A linguistic abuser
Using rhymes that are multi-complex
His schemes are unreal
He’s got skill; the real deal
And he’s not shy to show you or flex
He’s a force on the scene
Far from routine
He’s got a voice that needs to be heard
He’s got an ear for his pitch
That’s melodic and rich
And he’s got talent that’s borderline absurd
great poem man! keep it up!
We are happy that you found peace with in such a positive community. We hope that you can find that within our strawhat community or our strawhat crew! In this community, we push everyone to support each other and strive to accomplish our goals and follow our dreams! Thank you for taking the time to write this beautiful poem ❤️
Nice poem.
Have you sent this to Ren ?
Love your poem. Ren's music and positive outlook on our collective human beings helped me get through a tough time last year. Definitely send this to Ren if you haven't already. I think he'll appreciate it. All the best to you.
Great poem dude, nice ABBA construction and rhyme. Very similar in construct to how I write mine.
If I may, I'd like to offer a little constructive criticism?
You have to split it into verses or sections. Even though poetry is a stream of consciousness put down "on paper", organising it into something that makes it easier to read really will help. Also, don't be afraid to mix up the structure overrun.?
You have lines that rhyme, sometimes two at a time, try making the second rhyme scheme the first line of the next verse? You'll notice that Ren sometimes does that with his rap schemes also?
That type of structuring allows the brain to tie the former verse with the latter verse and give it more of a subconscious tie in, allowing the flow to jump and connect, tieing it in with a little more emphasis than just a straight and rigid formal structure. It will help it feel a bit more natural, AND, make the reader think about it a bit more?
Hope this helps bud. Keep on writing, it's extremely therapeutic.
Thanks for following up bros! Much respect ✊🏼
We always come through on our promises. Thank you so much for your support ❤️
Guys, I'm a 68 year old father of 2, a boy and a girl, not twins but 2 years and 2weeks apart. We lost or son several yeas ago to an unexpected illness. He went to the ER on New Years day and the ventilator was turned off Jan 19th. He was a new father to a 1 1/2 year baby, a husband, my wife & I first born. But as hard as it was on all of us our daughter, his sister has taken the hardest. As I said not twins but that sibling bond is so very strong. I admire you emotion and willingness to address your feelings on this platform. You could have just gone on and not even brought up your first reaction I doubt if much would have ever been said. The way most young people today would have done. But the fact that you came back and acknowledged the fact that it brought out feelings in both of you gives me some renewed faith in younger people. You are very correct in the statement that those who had negative comments have their own issues! I have only ever commented on less than 5 posts ever but felt I had to this time. I do not know if it is for you both or for myself, maybe both! Your reactions are very convincing and 100% believed by me. As well as informative.
You both brought up insights of ideas of other musical influences that I haven't heard by any other
reactors. I am not by any means an expert on Ren but I have reserched quite a lot on this trilogy and thought you might find some of what I found out. The first 2 parts were written and released relatively close together. Violet's tail took another 2 years to write and release. In the beginning of the song the lyrics two zero zero five is referring the year 2005 14 years before Violet's war released in 2019 the twins age. Yes Ren does rewind the time on the guitar, but also winds the time back forward right after the "say something Violet" and taking her to the hospital, with reverse of the music scale from before. In all of the reviews I have watch no one has pointed that out. Not a whole lot of things because you guys caught most everything else. Plus I have spent way to much time on this.
Just fely compelled to say Good Job!!!
Curt
Hey Curt thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful comment and we are truly sorry for the loss of your son. You and your wife seem like amazing parents and we can’t even begin to understand what you must’ve gone through losing a child our prayers and blessings go out to you and your family, and we appreciate you actually commenting on our post even though you don’t comment on POST often. Thank you for accepting our vulnerability. We really appreciate you Hart emoji we are happy. We were able to provide you with some musical context that you may not have known before.❤️
Mad respect, again for doing the Tales in the first place, and then following up later with this video and giving an informed breakdown 🙏 . Beyond that though, it's genuinely brave and rare for men to allow their raw emotions to show, and it's both important and appreciated that you have. Your videos are a great example of men handling their emotions openly and positively, in a healthy way. Thanks for being you, guys. For real.
Wow what an amazing thoughtful comment , it’s true that men are often stigmatized as not being able to express emotions and often times they can’t because people make them feel as if they shouldn’t . I think a man expressing how he feels in an honest manner is super brave rather than pretending he is alright. Thanks for the love and support ❤️
We knew you weren’t acting. That ending hits people hard. I’ve watched so many reactions to this trilogy and a lot of people get the ending immediately. As soon as he says “Two twins aligned side by side” people know.
Couldn’t possibly know what it would be like to watch that as a twin. Your reactions have been thoughtful, honest, vulnerable and hilarious. You cover the whole gambit of emotions.
I love what you do. Your attitude towards the haters is mad respect in my books.
Keep up the good work. You’re killing these reactions. Much love ❤❤ and can’t wait for the next one.
PS I found you on TikTok! Your music is 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! You are fire my friend 🔥
We really appreciate you taking the time to check out our music and continuously comment on our post we’ve definitely recognized your channel commenting consistently ❤️
@@StrawhatDynasty Of course! I have that notification bell on so I don’t miss an upload. I’m going through your stuff on TikTok and your back catalogue on CZcams. Really glad I found your channel. ❤️
I figured out before that on my first watch. Its when he does the rewind on the guitar and says 2-0-0-5... As soon as I figured Violet was set 15 years earlier. So as soon as it was told she was pregnant, I had figured she was the parent of one of them, and then the twins line.
The clues were always there for people who paid attention. The important bit is the backwards guitar section at the very start of Violet and the fact he spells out the year as 2005.. Once you realise VT is set in the past, the penny drops.
So yeh, the lads figuring it out before it was revealed, just means they were paying attention.
@@davem12dim17 I didn't get it until the 2nd time viewing after reading comments.
I’m a grandmother and you two tore me up watching you watching the Tale of Jenny & Screech. I’d watched many reactions & whilst I was super shocked the first time I watched this performance by Ren, I was in tears when I realised why you were so emotional. I’m not usually into this kind of music but I was converted to Ren about 10 months ago and have been obsessed since. I really enjoy your reactions, observations and “twin sense”. Thank you (from Aus).
Ohhh and ‘f’ those people who want to hate. I have no clue why people feel the need to criticise. I can’t wait to see you react to ‘Murderer’ & ‘Animal Flow’ - my favourites. My kids can’t believe their Mum listens to rap now haha. For something completely different listen to Ren & Chinchilla’s ‘Chalk Outlines’ & ‘How to be me’. Ohh and I forgot Su@c*de (but have the tissues ready).
I've been binge-watching their Ren reactions in order, over the past few days, and from about the third time I saw them do their lil "Twin Sense!" bit, I've felt an apprehension knowing they had the trilogy in front of them on their journey fown the rabbit hole.
Both because of the premonition Jenny feels as the moment approaches where she'll run into Screech*, and because Screech (as far as Ren lets us know) doesn't 💔
The emotional impact of both of those things wrings emotion from me even outside of twin reactors who are so CLEARLY so close to one another.
* of course, if I understand it correctly, we know Ren wrote neither thing into Jenny's Tale, because it wasn't until afterwards that he went back and "retrofitted" their back story to include them being twins, with Violet's Tale.
But even so, it just works so well.
Some takeaways on this trilogy, one theme is generational trauma. In Screech's tale, he opens with "the story it starts, just as it ends," then alludes back to Jenny's tale. But as he closes, he says, "the story it ends, just as it starts." To me, that encapsulates the cycle of violence. Violet, in her tale, comes to personify that very cycle.
Instead of Ren having to spell out that cycle, Violet lives it. Childhood sexual abuse leaves her vulnerable to sexual violence and domestic abuse in the adult world. In Violet you see, in her traumatized self-silencing, the seeds of Jenny, who also freezes when cornered. Similarly, you can see in his grandfather (perhaps father?) and in Stevie, the seeds of Screech
And we can't forget, in separating the twins and placing them in different homes, all the adults, and the state acting on behalf of those babies, all fail them miserably. The very circumstances that placed both 14 year-olds in a London alley in "2 zero one nine" make obvious that those placements in those homes, and allowing them to stay there or not intervening before they became runaways, or even since they became runaways, that fault lays.with society itself.
At 14, as a child of the streets, Screech is a predator surviving by mugging people. His sister, on the other hand, is surviving on sex work or survival sex, dragging her tired feet home in high-heeled shoes. At age 14, the kind 9f home she is so desperate to return to, if only to sleep, that we are left only to imagine. Yet we know clearly, that if she wishes to escape, then surely, in at least one way, she feels trapped.
We are tempted while viewing to condemn Ren for acting out these brutal men as they terrorize women, but upon reflection we can't help but realize the social commentary he's performing. By the time he spits out his last "far from pretty," we realize he's crying out for a way to break this cycle that isn't as brutal as one member of the family line literally murdering and ending that family line.
So, even as it seems to glorify violence, in the end it's holding a mirror to us, showing us the violence we create when we ignore social problems and allow them to fester. Sentencing so many, by accident of birth, to deep, structural poverty that must exist if we are to insist that some be afforded great wealth, that seems to be the deepest cry out/call out to end the violence by targeting its root causes.
Thank you for taking the time to give us such a thorough and in-depth breakdown. I’m sure everyone in the comments appreciates it and so do we ❤️
Another thing, Violet reacted to fear the same way as their mom, silent, froze. And Screech was quick to anger and violence like their father… even if they didn’t raise them
The fact you were able to come back and compose yourself and show the emotion you did deserve the upmost respect from the ren fans....❤ love yall and the reactions..
Thank you so much for appreciating what we do we very much appreciate you ❤️
There were so many context clues in the last scene that it wasn't hard to figure out what he was going to say. I figured it out first time I watched too.
This was the truest and sweetest reaction because it gave us a glimpse into how special that twin bond is.
Ignore the haters. You have plenty more who think you're pretty great.
Why thank you that was very sweet of you and we really appreciate you ❤️
What’s also super impressive is Ren’s use of the natural acoustics of the spaces, while he’s moving through them and performing, either for effect or reverb. It’s obvious in Violet’s Tale, but I only recently realized he does this in Screech’s Tale too, when introducing Officer Richard (those couple times he turns his head).
One of my favorite parts is Violet's tale when he sings the line "She never stood a chance." He projects his voice upwards so that it echos, and the camera pans up to reveal a spiral staircase fading into the dark. Amazing symbolism for the cycle of violence while using the natural acoustics for effect. I don't even understand how you can make that happen in a 5 minute one take without planning the entire video around that one moment.
"use of the natural acoustics of the spaces"
This really stands out in Chalk Outlines especially.
Thanks for continuing this once composed, you guys! 👏👏
Thank you for being here to support us. We really appreciate you ❤️
I have watched hundreds of reactions to the Tales. You both did just fine. Getting it right before the very end was OK. I would say, 50/50 split those who got it immediately or just before the end and those who really had no clue as to the link to the other videos. Keep up the great work gentlemen. From one twin to another (set) keep using that twin sense!
Yes, twin Power! Thank you. Our fellow twin ❤️
I really appreciate you two doing this. ♥️♥️
And we appreciate your support ❤️
Thank you for taking the time to put this out 😊 yall are the best 💜💜
It was our pleasure we appreciate your support ❤️
I just “found” you guys today: Monday, March 25th, 2024!!! I have been a fan of Ren for over a year now. (I am from Northern Kentucky, about 5 minutes from Cincinnati, Ohio.) U.S.A. lol
Anyway… I fell down the Ren “Rabbit Hole”, and it all started with “Hi Ren”- just like you guys! I love music; especially Ren’s style, cuz he is so eclectic . I love folk, rap, hip hop, jazz & blues, reggae, some metal, some country, & classical !!! I am binge/watching your channel today so I will hear it all
by the end of the day! ❤
I’m a classical pianist & made my way through University on a music scholarship. But….., I can play pretty much anything. I think having been classically trained & learning all of the music theory makes it easier to pick up on all the different genres. I hear a lot of classical influence from Ren, as well as jazz and blues. He comes up with the craziest sound, and chords and melodies that are so freaking amazing. I like to play his acoustic guitar pieces on piano. It sounds awesome ‘n
It’s really a lot of fun.
Anyway, getting ready to watch your reaction to the Collab between Ren and chinchilla next!! I absolutely Love chinchilla!!! (Those Nails!!!) If you haven’t already, please check her out too… She is a force to be reckoned with!
I’m loving your take on the various songs so far!!
Back to listening! You guys are awesome I’m a new subscriber!!
Let’s GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! 😂😂
Appreciate you so much - strawhat twins 🙏
Thanks for doing this guys. It was great to hear what you guys had experienced during the reaction. Walking us through what was going on in your heads was nice (Ren has a way of leaving people speechless, so it was cool to catch those thoughts). NBL here. Looking forward to trippin' down this rabbit hole with you. 🤘🤙✌️
Thank you so much for listening. It was our pleasure to share with you would be really felt ❤️
Thank you for doing the follow up with your final throughs.. and yeah I think she felt something different, the Twin sense she never felt before. Much love to you guys 🫶🏽 loving your reaction
It was our pleasure❤️
Thank you for following up. You guys are great.
I told you I'd watch it if you made it. Here I am, watching it as promised.
Love people who keep there promises ! That’s why we made the wrap up video too, we told yall we would! Much love and respect ❤️
Don’t listen to those haters. I really enjoyed your reaction and this one with your final thoughts. Thank you ❤❤❤
It’s OK we don’t mind haters. There’s so many more people who are just like you and we appreciate it ❤️
Dudes!!! There was absolutely no acting with your initial reaction! I’m so glad you finally released your final thoughts! Keep the reactions coming my dudes!!!
Thanks so much!!
I appreciate your transparency. I didn't think it was an act. Well done.
Thank you so much ❤️
It was a very emotional reaction to Tales. I also remember my reaction when after a second I realized that you were twins, I cried with you guys. Thank you for your thoughts❤
P. S Please show the cat next time😊
Thanks for coming back to this. A lot of reactors process after the video ends but we don't always get to share that appreciation. I've got a couple of comments that I don't think have been mentioned yet.
1. Ren produced "Screech's Tale Instagram stories" which is like a fly-on-the-wall view of Screech in the build up to what happened in Jenny's Tale (give this guy his Netflix series!!). It shows his difficult relationship with his 'dad' (not sure if biological dad or not), why he was on the streets that night with a knife, all psyched up and desperate for money. It also answers the "were Patrick and Screech's girlfriend together that night?" question. Maybe a penny dropped after the phone call which is why he lost it. You could do a reaction to it if you wanted (not sure if anyone else has) or just simply watch it to fill in some gaps.
2. When I first watched the Tales, it reminded me of a UK musical called Blood Brothers by WIlly Russell (warning: potential spoiler alert ) which opens at the end of the story with 2 twins shot dead, side by side, one by the other and one by a police officer. It then cycles back to tell the story of their lives in the build up to that moment. Separated as babies, due to poverty, one is kept by the mother, the other one given away to a wealthy family. As young kids they then meet and become best friends without knowing who the other is and it follows their turbulent lives from there. No idea if Ren knows of this musical (it's still touring the UK 40 years after it opened), but it's where my mind went, with the twist at the end.
ps. I've got 14 year old twins (girls) and I can't get my head around Jenny and Screech only being 14 in the tales...
Another performance that came to my mind seeing the tales for the first time, particularly Violet’s Tale, was ‘Return to Innocence Lost’ by The Roots. The narrator tells the story of her brother and how the cycle of violence affected his life. Both are absolutely tragic but very well told. Thanks for sharing the possible influences you know. I look forward to checking them out.
Every community has their negative elements. Renegades keep it positive! Renegade here deeply grateful for the reactors who make themselves vulnerable. And you two crack me up!! Love the vibe you create
I enjoy it fellas... keep going down the rabbit hole.
We will thank you for joining us on our journey ❤️
Guys, ignore the haters. The bigger you get, the more you'll get, its just the negative side of human nature. I was so blown away by your reaction and really wanted Ren to see it as it was the most indepth, emotional reaction i had seen and i know he would of appreciated that. As ive said before, you are 2 young intelligent guys who are doing great so dont take any notice of the immature haters who have nothing better to do x
You've have shown amazing insight several times, both in seeing where he's going in the story line & in analyzing the lyrics. You just have an amazing mind! I have identical twin granddaughters, but only 1 is still alive and she's now 16 years old.
She lost her twin before she was a year old and It has made an impact crater on her soul. I struggled even to find words to say this here. This one left me in tears. Like you say, it was both emotional and beautiful & Tears wash the windows to the soul
I love your reactions! 🥰
Every time i hear the first few notes of Violets tale, I break.
Thanks for circling back to share your thoughts! ✌🏻🫶🏻
We always follow through with our promises ❤️
My interpretation of the end is that it's easier to blame someone else and douse them in gas than it is to accept we are as much to blame and douse ourselves in gas and Ren was showing that he wont take the easy route and accepts that he too is a part of the problem, aka the money game, same as everyone else.
I really appreciate and enjoyed the follow up guys, thanks. I did a long comment on the first one so I won't repeat that! The insights about the other artists was great. I can think of another Ren performance that leaves some people unable to speak so I look forward to your take on that (no spoilers!)
It seems that dealing with negative comments is a rite of passage for reactors and most seem to develop the thick skin needed. I'm sure that with each others support (and ours!) it won't be an issue for you guys. Ren himself has addressed this having experienced negativity for not replying to comments when his following grew so much larger. Cheers.
What a positive, gracious reaction to some folks being mean. Beautiful men!!!
Pretty sure you caught what you needed to! Keep being epic!! Your brother is a twin, I couldn't imagine... my little brother has died, and that is still unimaginable to this day, so much pain.
Ignore the haters, they're hurting. HAHAHAHA I typed that as you said it! LOVE YA BOTH! Keep up the great work!
Thank you Ariel for your continuous support ! You rock !
Just a positive RENegade comment here to keep the balance! Been enjoying your guys journey through Ren and looking forward to more.
We love your positive comment. It is much appreciated. ❤️
Thank you for coming back to give the reaction after that initial gut punch. Really, you guys are great in your in depth responses. Enjoyed the few vids I've watched so far and going to keep watching.
Great video and I enjoyed your Jenny and Screech reaction even with the sad ending.
Thank you for being here for us while we were feeling so sad we really appreciate you ❤️
This ..... this is exactly what we all show up for. You will find the Ren community are looking for real reactions, the human element if you like. We're a pretty emotionally raw bunch of humans ... you never need to apologise for being real ❤
Love y'alls bond. Ren's a BEAST, huh!?
He is! And thank you !
It was an absolutely amazing react! Thanks for coming back for the final thoughts. I'm sorry you had some off feedback. I hope it comes from a place of overzealousness. Please know they are in the minority. You are fantastic reactors and I'm really enjoying your Ren adventure! Can't wait to see where you go next! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for your appreciation we truly appreciate you ❤️
So glad you gave us your final thoughts ….thanks guys. 💜
Don’t listen to the haters. We’re enjoying your journey with you.
Great job fellas. It reminds me how tough and dangerous the streets can be. Evil exists in this world and will use anything possible to twist things up.
How very insightful ❤️
Thanks for doing this lads, and hey Biggy. One love from Scotland. 💙
So glad to see your final thoughts since I could tell how hard it hit you both! Thank you!
We appreciate you taking the time to view how we felt ❤️
Thanks for sharing this with us. I so agree with you in regards to people who leave negative comments. Having empathy is the best way to approach it. I've thought about people's reactions to this story a lot. I think Ren's writing and storytelling is so captivating that it distracts us from guessing the ending. It's interesting how a story like this one and Dance with the Devil can give you a more visceral experience than a movie can. Ren has stated in a post that these characters and stories are his creations and he's really proud of them. At the same time he is always drawing inspiration from artists, movies, etc. to create his music. He has so many influences from different genres.
Yes, I do agree it is amazing how certain musicians, poets and even authors can truly give you a cinematic experience where you yourself draw the movie up in your own head. I truly believe that this is an ultimate form of storytelling. It’s like the super Saiyan of storytelling. Thanks so much for your support ❤️
Thank you for your kindness even towards haters ❤️ That is the spirit of #reneffect
Thank you for coming back to do an in depth review. I'm new to your channel and TBH my decision to subscribe to any reaction channel is based on how well the reactors handle the Jenny and Screech Trilogy. You guys gave excellent insight in both videos. SUBSCRIBED! I look forward to seeing what comes next on your channel. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Well, thank you and welcome to the strawhat crew where everyone has the boys and where we all push each other to be our best do our best and most importantly go for our dreams ❤️
I really like watching your reactions, you stood out from the field of average reactors, also in terms of cultural outlook. I don't know American culture that much, I don't speak English. The Renegades are quick to recognize the value.
We are happy we could bring some value to you! ❤️
I knew they were twins before he said it so never doubted your reaction in the slightest...can't imagine how that felt for you guys
Thank you for the followup guys. 🖤 Did you notice jenny followed in the footsteps of the mother and screetch his father? it's crazy isn't it! 😮. I've been enjoying your energy. And people need to chill and realize everyone reacts differently and processes at different speeds. Anyways you do you guys. Peace n love from Wales 🏴✌️🖤
Your reaction was great and we all felt the honesty inside, but the haters. They dont matter, anyway. You do great job! ❤
You should check out Where Did Things Go Wrong part 1 and 2
Both amazing songs, hope he releases part 3.
Watching you two have such genuine enthusiasm for and true emotional reactions to Ren's music is such a joy. I subscribed to the channel today, and I'll be digging through your original music to give likes, comments, and support just cuz I enjoy your realness on your Renactions so much. ❤️❤️
Your analysis is so good. Top notch reaction!
Why, thank you we really appreciate you ❤️
You boys are great...so glad I found your channel 😊 I'm so enjoying you trip down the (Ren...Ren & Friends) rabbit hole and am looking forward to what's to come!
I had no doubts you were reacting in real time. I have seen reactors who finished watching and still didnt get it, commenters had to explain it after the vids came out lol. I’m one of those people who jump to the solution of mysteries, I think it’s mainly about paying attention to details maybe others need a second watch to catch.
Great job guy’s there is a 360 live version of the full tales he goes more in depth with the stories it’s a 3 part concert in Brighton if you want too watch it.. P.S I got the end before I knew they were Twins if anyone listens properly which no one has got is Ren says babies not baby! And another thing when he reveals Jenny and Screetch at the end look where his standing it’s a twin set of windows! I’ve only noticed one reactor get it out of 200 reactors.
“The tales”always hit hard it doesn’t matter how many times you see them, if your not moved by them then you need help lol, but like all Rens music it opens up discussion even if it’s “was that a true first time reaction” I myself have seen loads of reactors to the tales and am well beyond the trivial aspect of whether it was a true reaction, you felt the emotion that’s what counts and have had the grace to follow up.
Oo i been waiting on this!
Crazy how a song can hit you in a soul right?
Also, amazing that Ren can do these with just him, and guitar, and a camera. Even making use of the acoustics of the to street and the buildings to and such.
Bless you guys! 🫂
Thanks for the love ❤️
Good lookin out guy's, always gonna be a couple, keep smiling, keep doin you.
Why thank you for the positivity we will continue to do what we do! ❤️
Thanks guys. Respect
Thank you and much respect ❤️
Good explanation guys. I totally understand why you had to delay the response ! Would be nice to see a few reactions to some of his older lyrical videos too. Maybe Domino, Letter to god, Seen one I can not find Sand Castles they are all very good and deep !! Look forward to new Ren reactions.
I have loved watching you both learn about Ren and react to the videos.
Don't listen to any of the negative comments, you guys are genuinely great reactors and I really enjoy all of your content ❤
Haters will always be haters, I'd hate to see how fast their little digits were trolling! 😂😂😂
Much love to you guys ❤
I didn't even connect you being twins until right at the end, then I felt bad for putting you guys through that 😂😂❤
Thanks for this wrap up! I really enjoyed your analysis. And don't listen to the haters. It was very obvious that you were not acting on your original reaction and you were visibly shaken by the story. Love your reactions and look forward to more 💜💜
It makes us happy that you are looking forward to more thank you for your support ❤️
Great essay guys - nice that you came back to it🌻
PLEASE READ THIS, THANK YOU
Thank you for reacting to anything by Ren. Bisecting or dissecting Ren's brain may be too much of a challenge for normal human beings. Everything Ren does is either fun, sad, outrageous, crazy, deep with meaning, or educational. Ren is an enigma, although not a true enigma according to a "dictionary", since he tells us more about himself and his life than a true enigmatic person would, he isn't mysterious he doesn't hide anything. But he surprises most of us with his diversity.
His singing, musical talent with many instruments, acting, narrating and performing is just so captivating, it must be an innate talent! I have been to many concerts and live plays and can see that what he does and is capable of doing is amazing with his health issues, the wisdom of the ages, and only 33! I wish he was one of my grandsons. ☺ LOL Ren is brilliant! Never underestimate Ren.
He is like a box of chocolate, maybe just not as tasty, due to some of his thoughts floating around in his head. He surprises most of us with the skills he has that can draw you in. And he does DRAW you in, makes you LOOK makes you THINK makes you want to KNOW more. Is Ren a chameleon? A good definition (I googled of course) "The chameleon effect is not a strategic facsimile of a person's gestures and facial expressions. It's more natural. It's a tendency we all may adopt to imitate someone else's voice and physical gestures so as to create a bond of intimacy and friendship. This can be done either consciously or subconsciously". Yes I personally think Ren is a natural chameleon, and he uses that "innate talent" and is very creative with it.
Great reactions! Just think how all of the carnage was because of a bad nasty father of Violet and Violets boyfriend Stevie. Violet had no choice of parents, they were what they were, she tried to escape. Escaping just led her to the lions den of more violence, I am sure she had hoped for a better life, but didn't really know who or what Stevie was. Then she ends up locked into another horrible relationship. Sometimes the circle of violence isn't always connected by blood but a persons bad luck of who they meet and enters their life. Screetch's violent behavior could be part of his DNA by his father Stevie or his grandfather. My wonder about the whole story is who was Screetch's father really? Did her father rape her? Is that why Screech suspected she was unfaithful to him being pregnant and maybe thought wasn't his? So many thoughts go through a mind on this story. And poor Jenny, what was her story growing up? Her life at 14 wasn't all that great, she wanted to escape it, I believe she may have ended up a prostitute just to survive. This story can make me crazy sometimes trying to figure out all the backgrounds. There was some violence in my life, but my attacker got his karma, although many years later. And not once did I feel any remorse for his passing, and never ever forgave him for his torment towards me. He was just a mean nasty drunk and I should have known what would happen but I was hopeful that his sober happy side would win but alas, a person's personality will show itself in two sides, and we hope the good would win but not always the case.
“It’s a folk singer’s job to comfort disturbed people and to disturb comfortable people.”
- Woody Guthrie
Ren is a great poet. I am glad he is the one singing it, performing it, saying it, reading it. A poet will read his poetry with certain inflections to stress parts of it. Poetry isn't read like normal prose, it has rhythm and the writer of a poem will often stress "bars" or lines, with what people call "flow" because that is what poetry is. Someone, anyone, could pick up one of my poems and I would ask them to read it aloud. After he or she is done, I will take the same poem and read it aloud and ask if it sounds different, why does it now sound different, did they get it? Etc. What does it mean to you now? That is what hip-hop, rap and written rhyming lyrics any song is, it's poetry, and all have flow just set to different music or no music. Emotion is always in poetry, songs no matter the type. It's not just words. So thankful Ren can write it, perform it and let the world feel it. I write poetry for all I know from my shortest to longest, any of them could be a song with written music added to them, as rap? hip-hop? No idea, but there is rhythm in my words when I write them, in my head. If another person reads some of my writings, I have no idea what is the rhythm in their brain when reading it? Sometimes it's a quandary and assortment of styles and maybe life experiences that will bring out the feeling of what is written. Does that make sense?
Nice one, and well-played regarding the haters.
Loving the content guys. Think you should check out "Hunger" next. But whatever you do, I'm here for it
Thank you so much we are getting to that hunger point or the point of hunger or maybe we are really just hungry for some bars only time will tell ha ha ha ❤️
One aspect of this song that I like is the way it portraits how violence is inherited. Violet gets abused by her father leading to her getting together with Stevie who also is abusive. Their kids don’t have their parents around, they end up in foster care or similar which leads to Jenny working the streets at age 14 and James robbing people.
The spiral of violence is the theme and I think it’s beautifully portrayed.
Nice reference songs you picked up. It is probably not a coincidence. Many of Rens songs, or part of his songs have a clear source of inspiration. I wouldn’t be surprised if you nailed it.
I really enjoy your reactions. Thanks for making them.
Thank you guys. Just do you❤
Thanks brothers, 👊🏽 definitely check out "what went wrong" by Ren, it's a two parter and there was a third but not sure if it will be released due to Sam's contract issue with his record label....
Good job! Really happy you shared your perspective and what it triggered in you as twins.totally different to all the other reviewers out there. ❤
Bros ... I don't have a twin but was fortunate to have met my brother and soul mate twin since 1985.
We often share emotions about most things and butt heads over others, untill we converse and understand each others views.
What I'm trying to write is; *eff* all them negative writers, perhaps they have never had a true connection with anyone.
... Ren connects. It don't matter your "creed". This kid connects. Shit ... That's about as close as we have to magic, considering the time in space that we occupy ... His sentiments connect us. Going back to "Hi Ren"; "We must not forget. We .. are human".
I like that y'all are falling into this rabbit hole. But I also feel he might be asking us for some space/time away ... To live and such. Fame has ruined too many bright souls.
Thanks for the content. Apologies for the wordy comment. Listening in and cooking with a glass of scotch is all.
Much respect ✌
What are you talking about wordy comments are the best! I appreciate your well thought out comment and your support ❤️
lol.... i feel like I add that apology to nearly all my comments bc I'm "wordy" AF. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to keep any comment short and sweet, and if I do manage to do so, it's only bc I've cut out 90% of what I actually want to say. ... oh the struggles...
On their original video to the tales (or part 1 to this) I was commenting on the dance with the devil comparison and how heavy and brutal that song is and before I knew it "wordy" would have been a severe understatement... lol- so I just erased nearly all but the opening statement and left it at that.
Stay wordy my friend!
Love your channel. Im impressed by your knowledge and how you can always come up with little tidbits about things that are just reminiscent of or that it suggests the artist may have been inspired by. Thanks to you guys
Once you are done with Money Game, you really need to move onto:
Chalk Outlines & How to be me (both duets with Chinchilla)
and being introduced to her will lead on to
Chinchilla - Fingers (Live for Hunger TV Version)
I see you and notice it's like looking at my twins , how they react and talk and thinks . Ignore the comments that try to pull you down ❤. I figured it out as soon as he said twins . Seen people figure it out earlyer to and a few hwo was so mindblown that they couldn't grasp the story at al 😊 . Keep up the god work boys ❤
You guys are not the first reactors that have felt very raw emotions from Ren's music and/or had to end the reaction before giving a final thought. There are several Ren songs that may hit you straight in the feels. I cried the first several times I heard Violet's Tale and still do occasionally when I'm watching a reaction like yours to it. I was wondering thru the entire reaction how the end would affect and impact you both as you are twins yourselves. Several reactors have missed the ending twist and caught it during their edit or not caught it at all.
I commend you both for allowing us to see your honest reaction. You could've very well just not posted the reaction at all or could've gone back and started over if you wanted.
There are always critical fans in every fanbase. They do not represent the majority of Ren fans. Ren is about positivity, lifting up others, and the love of the art.
If you guys haven't reacted to Ren's 1 million subscriber video, please do! It will give you insight into Ren and his character and I feel he has tried to convey to his fans his message and hopes they share that message.
You guys handled the negative comments very well tho. It upsets me when those comments are made because they could possibly cause reactors and possible new fans to feel like they are not welcome or accepted and that they will continue to have to deal with those negative comments if they keep reacting to, watching reactions of, or following Ren and that hurts Ren and it stops the spread of his art. I wish those people thought before they were to leave a negative comment. What if because of those types of comments someone who really needed to hear Ren's message because it helped them thru something never got to hear the music because people didn't want to deal with the negativity from the fans. ❤
Keep up the great work. If you haven't checked out Disco Doc's Rising Tides Day where he is promoting your channel and your Ren reactions, you really should check it out! ❤
Ren put out a story as a promotion video for this trilogy on his channel if you scroll through that is the back story to Skreetch's life.
I enjoy your reactions so much and I could tell you were genuinely affected by the story- especially the ending. Don't listen to the haters...you guys are awesome. Also, walking the streets doesn't mean that Jenny was a prostitute at the age of 14... But considering her background, it's possible. It's really a sad story and even sadder that it was inspired by an actual event... even though Ren took a lot of creative license. He really is a master of "bardcore" lol.
Love music pt3 please!
Love you guys, you are probably some of the best reactors I've seen on CZcams keep it up❤
Loved this follow up so much, I won't even hold it against you that you're from NYC (me being originally from Boston). Don't know who's hating on you, but they're trippin'. Keep up the great work and great content!
You guys are awesome!
You are awesome ❤️
Thank you for the follow up ❤
Ignore the haters guys, all they want is attention and if you acknowledge them then they have won. Ignore them and they'll get bored and go away eventually.
Jenny was a prostitue. Walked the streets a thousand times before and froze like a statue in high-heeled shoes. She was only 14 wearing heels walking the streets. Jenny was frozen & quiet like her mother. Violet went from an abusive father to meeting Stevie, who treated her the same way & it implied that Stevie ended up being her pimp. Screech got the angry abusive side from his dad. Also, when Screech tries to knock on Patricks door & him not being there then calls his girlfriend who is "busy" insinuates that Patrick & his girl are together.
I don't think it has ever been confirmed that Jenny was a sw, but it certainly seems implied.
I don't think Violet was a sw though.
Ren❤❤❤❤
Thank you🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
please react to ren and the big push busking ....The Big Push - I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop .... its GOOD
Awesome thoughts ❤
I knew this would get to you being twins. My mom was a twin. One night at 3am she sat up and screamed. At that moment her twin who was 2600 miles away was in a serious accident. She knew
Thank you 🙏❤ Strawhat Dynasty ❤ for your final thoughts on 🐷 Ren - ❎❎🎸🎺🏥🔪 The Tale of Jenny and Screech! #ren #taleofjennyandscreech #violetstale
Great commentary guys. Love the reactions.
We love that you’re loving it and will continue to try our best to give you the best quality reactions. Thank you so much ❤️
Because of the algorithm, I am responding to the twin question in this comment. I have always been interested in whether genetics or environment determine a person's characteristics. This can best be studied in identical children separated at birth. I don't think it's ethical to separate twins for direct research. The film about the three boys who were separated was very shocking, I felt very sorry for them, but it confirmed my theory. But I think that there is no scientific research that can be morally justified in such a case. I'm glad you two are together, it must be a good feeling.
Wow that sounds so interesting. I’m not sure how the story ends with those twins but it doesn’t sound like a very happy ending AnyWho thank you so much for supporting us ❤️
@@StrawhatDynasty The documentary "Three Identical Strangers" is the story of three twin boys who were separated at the age of 6 months and met each other at the age of 19. It is a New York story that became famous in the 80s when the brothers met each other by chance. I especially recommend it for twins.
You're gonna find haters, even amongst the Renegades. Some people are just so unhappy within themselves that they can't let anyone else be positive.
Ren has touch a lot of us. I highly recommend watching "Suicide" followed by "For Joe". I still cry because I relate too well. Ren is a beacon of hope, a ray of sunlight in our dark times.
Also, the duets he does with Chinchilla are *chef's kiss*
