Turn Scrap COPPER Pipes Into Custom Golden Coins At Home - Custom Coins Made Easy

  • In this video I'll be making my own custom copper coins from scrap copper pipes. The coins were cast in graphite molds that I made. The copper pipes were melted down in my furnace until they were liquid metal and simply poured into the open molds. I used a wire brush to clean up some of them and a tumbler to clean the rest. I was just about to suggest using a tumbler when you brought one out. The coins definitely look better from the tumbler and they would look even better if you used a smaller medium and left the coins in longer. But you wouldn’t want to leave them in too long as the medium could polish away all the fine details, it’s something you might have to experiment with but nice job anyway 👍

You can make things easier and reduce losses to oxidation by melting long, uncut, pieces of copper and feeding them into the puddle. Yeah, its blinding but it also gives you the chance to stir the puddle while you're filling the crucible.
