    Thanks again for your hard work, dude. It's good that you mention the current turmoil going on over at Relic. I think a lot of players - this is gaming in general - forget these games are made by *real* people, and when a company has a ton of layoffs, the speed of things is going to change. It's just that simple, honestly. We don't know exactly what teams were affected by the layoffs, but Relic has lost a lot of employees since the beginning of the year. It's just a shame so many gamers refuse to live in reality and understand what's in front of them.

    Played after this patch today. Tigers are still coming out early which I don't mind as Archers are at 6 CP now. Had 3 Archers todays and smashed those tigers and p4s to bits in a 4v4. So all in all the game is a lot more balanced now.
    First time watching your vid, very detailed and good. Keep it up

    Lol bofors still medicore and even cheaper flak is better. They should buff bofors AA to do atleast one job.

    I've had the Aussie snipe ability just outright miss against units in cover, so I hope the buff also helps with that. The possibility alone made them feel totally useless.
    As to the Archer (in my personal experience,) the main problem was that the British are already a fuel heavy faction, so there was never a circumstance where I wanted to tech to the Archer instead of Over Repair, and Over Repair is already the main reason to go with Australians. You might as well try to make do with the 2 Pounder and other vehicles while teching up to the Grant, or getting a few Matildas or whatever instead of trying to go to the Archer, which would then generally show up far to late to be more than a replacement for losing veteran vehicles. That's still kinda true, but now, at least maybe a sneaky Supply Run might get it out fast enough to wrongfoot people who were planning to rush the Tiger or something.
    The Officer Quarters thing seems weird, but maybe Relic wanted to make going with machine gun/Grenadier strats a bit more risky by making them a more difficult substitute for more advanced infantry? Seems like an odd way to balance things, but maybe there was some really broken strat I just didn't encounter much.

      I have been watching a few of the top 2v2 teams practicing for the upcoming tournament and the archer is featuring in a lot of the games.

    That is a bit ridiculous that the bofos struggles so much more than the flak 38 to deal with light vehicles. It really does need much higer pen and/or damage

    Hey Tightrope. Can you do a test to show the glaring disparity between allies and axis mid game armies when it comes to cost. In big team games, an ambulance is pretty important for field presence. But a usa player is hugely outpaced if he tries to field a balanced army, his fuel is used to tech grenades for 250s, bars to stay in contention with the enemy inf. ISC, WSC, ambulance, and motor pool for at gun. At that stage he is still minutes away fuel wise from a chaffee/greyhound, that can provide some mobility and for the same resources axis players can field objectively far superior armies, as their tech structure is far less fuel dependent. I've done tests, and added photos of the possible armies at different resource levels. The difference is quite astounding.

    Thanks again Tightrope. I think why most people complained about how long this hotfix took compared to the last hotfix with Royal Engies. I explained it in a post on reddit as well from AE. Where John later in posted an update. As you saw as well the balance was complete out of proportions. Yet there was no communication on Relics part that they notice those as well. All they need to say with each update/balance/hotfix when something/faction is over performing is that they have noticed it, are monitoring and are working on a hotfix/balance update with a time estimate. I think most people can endure unbalance when they know it is going to be addressed soon.
    Also can you just become part of their balance team.

    Great video once again man. I can't believe the Flak performs better than the Bofors at that cost difference. Crazy that the devs don't test how two similar emplacements hold up. Let's hope for some buffs/cost reductions in the future!

    thanks for explaining why relic was swift to nerf sappers but took their sweet time nerfing the 60% winrate axis. i thought that was a silly chain of events but i see there are reasons now.

      The RE nerf was because Brits had a >60% winrate with RE spam, right before a multi thousand dollar tournament sponsored by relic. Do you think anyone is going to tune in to pro players taking turns on ring around the rosie to spam RE all day? It'd be like the earlier community tournaments where axis threw the game to play as USF the next round and win.

      10 days ago brits had 57-58 win rate in team games while wher has 42 now it has turned around and wehr is very strong Those who are whining that relic axis or alies fanbayos are generally just shit at the game. Hopefully Relic just hasn't gotten the hang of the balance yet because it's pretty bad right now

    Do you think the game should focus on 1v1 balance or team game balance? I just don’t see Relic being able to do both.

      there isn't any option sense most popular game modes are 1vs1 and 4vs4 so both is only option just they have to find middle ground on what kind of system we got

      Not sure you could effectively balance for team games that easily. There’s so many more variables to consider in a large match. At least in 1v1 for someone looking at balance you’d be able get a sense of the unit matchups and timings.

    Bofors comparison was really unfair I thought as they’re coming up against different units. A bofors is far more annoying for DAK to deal with than a flak is for usf for instance, who can just tech a regular mortar with bunker busting rounds. Just as with the mortar pit, the most important stat is the durability, not the pure dps. I think it would have been more interesting to compare the relative ease of dealing with each unit.

      Halftrack mortar and Leig is more than enough against it. Its bad against inf since and it was worse against vehicles. Even after the buff it was slightly behind the Flak while costing more.

    I would like to see those games how the allies loose in 4v4... every game i play i go up against 4 rangers and like 6 hellcats, 5 matildas..... the fucking M3lee/Grant also like 6 of them, i can barely afford 1 panter..... even tried having like 6 AT guns with my tiger and a PzIV... not enough.. rangers just walk through everything and you got like 30 tanks rushing you. Nothing you can do. Also nothing more useless than a PzIV, fucking thing bounces 9/10 shots on ememy tanks and dont even think about flanking cuz not only do the ally outnumber you with infantry, they also out number you with tanks, AT guns everything.

    Just give axis a major recourse penalty in team games. I am realy disapointed that again 3 games in a row axis are so much easier to play then the allies. This should be hard to do and wont hurt axis in 1v1.

    They need to revert the changes to the Hellcat. Literally the only decent AT unit in the entire US roster and they want to nerf it?
    Again, the CoH2 Jackson was also the only decent AT unit for USF and it got needlessly nerfed there too.

      There is not axis bias. You are just too dumb. So dumb you filter every tile allies are stronger.
      So you think there is a bias.
      In the same way some axis player ONLY focus on the times allies are stronger and yell(more like screech) " Allyyyiiee BiiASse"
