There was an announcement from Big Hit that JK had a surprise in New York the next day. That was it. No details. An ARMY noticed them cleaning the glass to the TSX stage. On those clues alone, fans began to gather in the hopes that they were right. It was officially announced 30 mins before it started. JK is global ambassador for Calvin Klein who organised this with sponsors Hilton and Xbox.
There is no mv for “Yes or No” (written by Ed Sheeran) or “Please Don’t Change” (produced by DJ Snake). “3D” features Jack Harlow but there’s a Justin Timberlake remix (audio only) and an mv. Finally, “Seven” ft Latto clean version has an mv and explicit version has a dance performance.

Yes, according to a Rolling Stone article it was announced 30 minutes before the concert.

The glitches were from the live broadcast not the song. This happens all the time. Also have to remember there couldn’t be a sound check that to me is amazing. He also said he had a cold and wished he felt better so he could have interacted with army more. Can you imagine being this good with those obstacles
His GOLDEN album was released November 3 2023, this SURPRISE performance was November 9th 2023 so less than a week and this was not formally announced, if i am not mistaken (please ARMY correct me if i am wrong) it was revealed a few hours before he performed. ARMY figured it out because we knew JK was in NY and saw staff prepping that stage so ARMY spread the word and that's how ARMY mobilized to enjoy this live show.
PS. ARMY has become very good at sniffing out clues, tips, spoilers for BTS sometimes making it very difficult for BTS to surprise us.... which is a very cute tiff we have between us.

ARMY guessed JK was going to perform since he was in town for interviews and they hoped it was him performing so they showed up with their ARMY bombs! 😂. Post Malone was the 1st ever to perform on this stage in July 2023 and JK was only the 2nd person to perform on this stage in November 2023
No sound check was done prior to his performance that’s why the sound wasn’t as consistent especially in the beginning.

Jungkook is the only kpop idol who is that comfortable singing live with no backtrack while dancing, most idols lip sync or sing with loud back track that overshadows vocals so when someone hear real noises like breath etc seems like the quality of singing is lower when it’s actually how it’s supposed to be

All those back up dancers of JK are all well known choregraphers.. Some of them individually have choregraphed dances for BTS, & JK has known most of them since he was a teenager & he has high respect for them. If you watch the behind the scenes of the making of his "Standing Next To You" MV, you'll it'll show what a great relationship he has with the dancers. They have performed with him for many of his MV's. Jack Harlow is the guy who did 3D MV with him, it was filmed in Kentucky.

This was definitely an impromptu concert. Nobody knew what would happen, but ARMY is very good with clues, so people were able to figure it out. Unfortunately, I had a major medical procedure that day, so I couldn't go to Times Square but everyone was following it on Twitter and people were guessing what would happen.
3D song did jungkook with jack harlow, it were a suprise concert he made it known like a half hour before on tiktok.

Place any BTS member on stage anytime and anywhere and ARMY will flood it in less an hour. That's how popular they are not just a group but also individually. THIS IS A FACT.
There was a notice 24 hours ahead of time however, they did NOT disclose the location. ARMY "detectives" figured it out. Not enough time for me to get there, but so glad they filmed it. The whole album GOLDEN is fabulous, in my opinion! Jung Kook was the 2nd artist to perform on that TSX stage, and he pretty much shut down Times Square roads during Friday evening rush hour. I think that's why they had to keep it somewhat short.

During open air festivals, where artists have little to no time for sound check, the sound is adjusted on the for the 1-2 minutes, but sound tech prep themselves before by listening to live performances
There was not sound check for this performance, as it was impromptu, so kuddos to the sound techs

I gather there were issues with the sound quality. It was explained by another reacter who is a sound engineer and he explained what the problem was - I didn't understand a word except that there was a problem. I enjoy listening to the experts explain things to me, it doesn't mean I understand! I gather JK gave a signal to the engineers that he was having sound problems. He did a fantastic job., I really enjoyed the performance. Although I preferred iHeart radio performance of SNTY and Hate You, those were totally amazing.
The MV for 3D is really good but does a live performance vid that is also very good.

On twt the rumours that he would be in time square spread like wildfire, within the hour the place was filled with armys and then the announcement from bighit came that in 30 mins he will be there. Then even more people arrived plus regular tourist in the area and casual listeners. Not many artists can pull this kind of crowd with just a rumour and 30 mins announcement. Heck, people show up like this for a BTS ad for a CAR in UK and for BT21 (their line characters) so I'm not surprised by the amount of people. Also most of those songs were number 1 hits already when Golden dropped

Thats Jungkook not well believe it or not. After being immersed in water for prolonged time in water for his MVs Jungkook developed a persistent chest problem that affected his usual massive breath control.. So he is not his normal self. That was probably Youngis special highball recipe he reccomended from when he did his concert ill and had lost his voice. I know it had whisky lemon honey and lots of medicinal herbs. There was enough people lived close enough to go home and get army bombs. Given how very little warning they had for his FREE CONCERT. And given it was free and Jungkook was ill and no one knew about it he could have cancelled.
