My self-made Zinogre armor from Monster Hunter is one of my favorite cosplays! I built it mostly out of EVA foam, plastazote and LED strips! Took me a few months to finish, but I think it was time well spent haha! 😜

When the LED started glowing under the scales 🤯
this is one of my favorite armor in MH series the kinda of east meets west the way it captured the look of the Zinogre.
さらっと一瞬で流されたけど、各所の塗装の作りこみもやばい…

For anyone wanting to try this method, be careful about your boobs if you have them.. lol
I helped a friend make a pattern this way and she was shy so she wrapped her boobs with a thin scarf first which pushed them down.. after the cling wrap and tape, we made the pattern and spent two weeks making a set of Mass Effect chest armor that didn’t fit her.. it pinched and squished her chest because we basically made the template over her squished boobs. She wore a very thin bra and we tried again and it worked great, but we also did fittings as we went.. we definitely learned our lesson.
So, for all of my busty friends… leave yourself room to breathe and think about comfort from the start! Decide if you plan to wear a bra. Or under layers, or add linings.. etc. take your measurements to include that extra bit of space. Don’t make the same mistake we did!
Good luck! Have fun and remember to enjoy making things… don’t get angry when you fail, because failure is just education. Learn what you can from it and try again! I believe in you!
That's a great advice. In industrial mechanics often times you see newcomers machine fittings or cavities for a part and not machining enough space for the tool required to install said part or fitting.
@@aneudysc Ugh.. I used to do bodywork on cars and we used to curse the engineers who put bolts and fasteners with zero access! So annoying… lol
A minute of effort now saves an hour of effort later, that’s how I like to work and live.
