Bigfoot's laugh is contagious and joyful! What a great hiking companion 😊
The latter half of the trail is definitely faster. I took 68 days with 2 zeroes to reach the midpoint, and then 64 days with 8 zeroes to reach Canada from there (3 in Dunsmuir, resting a shin-split). You had more snow than I did, so you guys are moving right along. I got dermatitis once from a sting and had to use antibiotics to overcome. I hope that's not what you had as you're on trail. I hope it's all better now since that was two weeks ago. Thanks for another video and keep moving up the trail!
The black-capped chickadee, the Mass. state bird, chirps "cheeseburger." A beautiful sound!
KEEP ON KEEPIN ON! CONGRATS ON 1/2 WAY THERE
I'm sure by now you know it was the bee sting. The swelling can get bad enough that it is hard to bend a joint for sure. Claritin (Loratadine) works better than Benadryl for me. Plus its once a day vs. several times a day for Benadryl. Cheering you and Bigfoot on!!
There is a kind of beauty to the burn areas in that there is resilience. The land will restore itself.
I think that the “CHEEZE BURGER” bird isa Black headed Chickadee. Not sure though.
Way to go 1/2 way, you guys are flying through this!
Congrats on halfway!
PCT Mid Point - Amen guys,,,, definatly deserves a big breakfast with pancakes and coffee
16:26
Wow, postcard worthy. Send commission to Bigfoot for his tent : )
I think those Cheeseburger Birds are Black Capped Chicadees.
Interestingly enough, there was a McDonald's ad in your video as I viewed.
My son and I had a big deer come through our camp in Marble Mountain Wilderness! Scared the crap out of us! Go guys and be safe! Doing great!
“Cheeseburger” forever now burned into my mind!!
Wow, that's so awesome dude. Congrats on making the midpoint. Woot! Rooting for you dude!
ADVICE..... WITH SWELLING. Do not put ice on swell. Ice goes between injury and heart. Just above injury.
Hope your leg is rested and doing better now. Congrats on halfway!!!
I've been really enjoying the scenery. I hope your knee is feeling better now. Voltaren Gel might help with the pain and inflammation, but you definitely will want to wash your hands after applying it. Hopefully it is all better now so you can really enjoy that beautiful trail!
I grew up near Tahoe and my family always called it the Cheeseburger bird. Wasn’t until my 20’s that I learned it’s actual name
Congratulations on reaching the midpoint! Safe travels.
"Oh Deer!" that story was funny. Probably no one had ever camped there before and the deer was trying to figure out what the tents were, and what you guys were doing there. Congratulations on making the 1/2 way point. 🙂 Wonder if there are any "Cheeseburger Birds" here in Virginia? LOL.. Bigfoot is a great friend!
Love the videos buddy. I have been watching since your AT hike. Keep up the great work and the hike looks amazing!!
Thank you!
I’ve been following you since the beginning. Congratulations on your midpoint! My husband and I are going to do the trek in four years.
Sorry to hear about your knee. What you could do is alternate Advil, and Tylenol every four hours. That way you’re only taking so much of each every eight hours.
Advil is good for inflammation and pain. Tylenol is just good for pain.
Glad a deer wasn’t running around a hotel now the birds are making you hungry by saying cheeseburger hope your knee gets better.
I made the mistake of peeing near my tent in NoCal on the PCT. Deer were so desperate for salt kept munching on the wood chips I pissed on. Scared the crap out of me at 3 am, nor would they leave!
Interesting hearing about the "deer" circling your tent. Bear Trek kept seeing eyes that he thought was either a cougar or a deer that circled the tent much of the night. He was able to capture a night picture ot it and it was definitely a cougar. Other hikers mentioned seeing a cougar too in the area. Just glad everyone is safe. It would be nice if a log or pct update had a note about it so hikers could have bear spray available in that area. 😮
section of the PCT closed in Washington forest fire. Hoping it is out before you get there.
I’m sure this is too late, but a k-tape fan crisscrossed tech might help the swelling
Bigfoot should return his old shoes to the supplier stating they were hardly used.
Hey I hope the knee relaxes itself with said meds.
❤️ the channel!... new sub
Sounds like you have a case of the bees' knees, lol.
LMAO, Roadrunner and her tramily have been calling it a cheeseburger bird too, funny how hiker hunger works 😂
My opinion is that restaurants along the trail plant the birds out there as subliminal advertising so all you can think about when you go into town is CHEESEBURGER!
I was plagued by deer stomping around my campsite on that same ridge in 2019. Sounded like a drunk sasquatch stumbling around. No sleep.
I’ve had a deer do that same thing! It huffed and stomped in a circle until we finally scared it off. I didn’t realize they were so territorial
Doin awesome dude!!
Mountain lion??
Great videos , making the rest of us PA hikers jealous
Cheeseburger 👍
Go!
Can we get a longer interview with Big foot? If he’s willing
When we get finished I can set this up in a QA. I'm sure he will be willing.
Those fake birds you pipe into your videos are also speaking hiker trash language!😂
When you are nursing a possible injury, try to only walk 10-15 miles, less stress on the leg and more rest for healing. Hope it was just the bee stings.
*cheeeeeese burrrrgur* 😂
I noticed Jake/Hammer had a beer in their S Tahoe layover, Day 83 for them I think it was therefore you are ahead of them, so it appears / In the beginning, nice mustache . snot bugger - L side.
🍔🎵halfway🦌🍔🎵
We are fine with being patient, your videos give us something to look forward to. Do you do venmo to buy you a beer?
Your knee is quite swollen!! Maybe a zero and elevate? Check out an urgent care in next town? Wearing a support brace can be a great preventative to further injury.
I'm sure your family is so behind you and proud of you!!!
Shasta is pricey...
Those godawful birds. I do all my hiking in that area and Yosemite. Fucking Cheesebirdgers.
@@AJKPenguin There you are, Mile 15. You haven't eaten anything but protein bars and trail mix since you woke up. You need to stop for lunch, but that cold soaked ramen you have to choke down doesn't feel edible. Then, from deep in the forest, invisible, yet loud and clear in your ear... "Cheeseburger". "Cheeseburger". "Cheeseburger".
I think it was a lady big foot... 🤔 she was coming in to check out how cute big foot was... and boys I am sorry but sintex77 all ready has the cheese burger 🍔 line... lol
Fake birds, nice touch!
I'm from near the area you're hiking in. Can confirm, we call them "cheeseburger birds" too.
